The home was amazing! Everything we hoped it would be. Beautiful kitchen for cooking, great grill and outdoor area for dining each night. The furniture throughout the home was noticeably high quality! The beds and bedding were very comfortable and the outdoor showers - such an amazing Hawaii touch! The unique set up of individual AC in each bedroom was the best set up we’ve experienced in 12 years of using rentals in HI. We had one small house issue with the sink not draining in one of the masters - notified the property manager on day 1 and never heard back. We didn’t necessarily need it fixed during our stay but not getting any reply left a little to be desired. I saw the ratings were lower on communication before we booked though - so I was somewhat prepared for it. Our stay was memorable and we would not hesitate to book again. Truly the best appointed, and most luxury rental we’ve ever had in HI. Worth every penny!

We stayed five nights at this property with a group of 5 friends and were very impressed. The location and setting are beautiful, and the home itself is even better than the photos suggest. It is stylish, clean, and thoughtfully furnished with high-end touches. The kitchen was particularly outstanding: extremely well-stocked and perfect for cooking group meals. Check-in was smooth and straightforward, and we appreciated the welcome snacks, which were a great touch that made us feel right at home.There are a few areas that could use attention. The outdoor grill had trouble staying lit and needs maintenance, and the hot tub’s limited hours and lack of heat were disappointing. We also found the hot water ran out quickly which is troublesome with multiple morning showers. Lastly, communication from the management company felt impersonal. Overall, this is a high-quality property that we would gladly recommend, with a few small improvements that would make it a truly excellent experience.

This is a large house with sweeping views of the Kona coast. Location was generally quiet with the occasional faint noise of construction equipment in the distance during daytime, which was not disturbing. Furnishings are a bit sparse and not the most comfortable/homey and were a bit disappointing for the price. For example, there is a large wooden dining table on the loggia but only two dining armchairs, otherwise you're relegated to sit on a hard wooden bench. In one room there's a computer table/docking station, but not very usable since there's no chair to sit at. Kitchen was generally well equipped with high quality cookware, tools, etc. We bought a few basics that were missing such as a tray to carry food/plates, etc. from the kitchen out to the loggia dining table, which the Property Mgr reimbursed us for. We were there for two weeks which was relaxing and a good home base for day trips to explore the Big Island.

We loved our stay at this property. It was so well laid out and appointed, we have such wonderful memories we created here and hopefully someday would return. Some things that were problematic were mostly due to the property management and their lack of responsiveness to multiple issues we found. The hot tub situation needs to be addressed since you're only allowed to use it from 4pm-8pm, this should be noted somewhere. Additionally we found underwear from other guests under a bed, which shows that the cleaning has been great. Lastly, the refrigerator needs to be serviced or replaced, we asked this be looked into and it took over a week to send someone out...and they ended up not doing anything. Overall it was a wonderful location and place but the property management needs to rise to the occasion for the home they're servicing.

Our group of six friends dreamed about our Hawaii vacation for 8 months and our stay at Hale La'i was absolutely a dream come true. The house and grounds are gorgeous and no detail was overlooked. From the stunning views, the amazing infinity pool, the well-stocked kitchen, the clean rooms and comfortable beds, and all the amenities we lacked nothing for our stay. The convenient location was also perfect base for exploring the island. Communication with the property management team was timely and comprehensive. They arranged for in-home massages for all of our group which was a special treat. Sadly we had to wake up and return to normal life and now we can only dream about visiting this beautiful property again in the future!

What a special experience. From the time we walked through the entry doors, the beautiful view inside and outside welcomed us in to this wonderful property. We didn't miss a sunset from the pool and pool deck, whether we were eating in or going into Kona for dinner. The house was well stocked from the kitchen to all the pool towels, beach towels and beach accessories. The convenient location was also perfect for all of our local activities. We enjoyed three great evenings of dining in, which included hiring a Chef (Chef Paul) for our last evening of our week long stay. He spent eight hours at the house preparing, plating and serving our every need, it matched the great surroundings of this perfect property. The property management team was extremely efficient and professional when it came to any of our questions and needs.
Thank you for sharing this great property and I am sure we will be planning a future visit.
