We recently spent a week in Maui on a family vacation. We needed to find a few places for lodging as we had three groups of family members attending. My wife and I stayed in Hale Kamaole. Our unit was towards the rear of the complex as we were looking for a quiet location. From the lanai, we could look out to the ocean and over the central common area with the pool(s) and BBQ areas.Our unit was clean, somewhat older, but well maintained. The AC worked well, and the kitchen allowed us to cook a few meals while we were there. One of the bathrooms had some caulking that could use replacement, but it was pretty minor.The condo is a 10-15 minute walk from the shops, and we loved walking to grab coffee and breakfast and sitting at the beach in the mornings. The office staff was helpful, and we had a great visit.

Beautiful property with gorgeous flowers and a nice pool. Staff are friendly and immense care is taken with the inner grounds. Unit was perfect for our family. Twin beds for the kids and wall to wall carpeting for my feet! Everything we needed across from a family-friendly beach great for boogie boarding and snorkelling. A lifeguard too! We'll be back:)

We loved everything about staying at Hale Kamaole! It had everything and more. We needed zero extra linens, towels, etc. Anytime there was an issue with anything the maintenance worker came immediately. I will def try and get 338 again! We are also so bummed we forgot to write in the book! But I knew this place was meant for us. We came on my bday July 2- which is a day we had celebrated my dads passing in 2017 and my parents (both deceased) were heavy on my mind. We walk into 338 and walk up the stairs- first thing I see is a big picture- artist name RUDY. Rudy is my dads name! This whole trip was meant to be ❤️

The next-door condo was under construction the whole time during our stay (M – F, 9am to 5pm except the weekend). Also, our water was shut off for one day for a few hours 11am to 1pm for street construction. The construction noise was irritating and annoying. The unit only had window AC units in each bedroom (2), none for the living area/kitchen. The doors of each bedroom had to be open the whole time to cool down the condo while other condos had an upgraded mini-split AC in the living room area. The microwave handle was broken, the fridge door would slam against the wall cause the floor wasn’t level, there was no tv in the upstairs bedroom and the upstairs bathroom shower head was too short you had to crouch to shower. Other than that, everything else was great. I would stay again at Hale Kamole but do your research on units that have mini-split AC for the living area. Also, this unit does not have a loft like other condos. Please update and install a mini-split in the living area like the other condos. A heads-up for construction would have been nice and a discount for the inconvenience doesn’t have to be a huge discount but any discount to the customer is meaningful. It’s good practice to keep your customers updated with any negatives that would impact their stay.

The suite next to us was being demolished so all day for the week there was constant noise.They were using power tools and sledge hammers and the entire unit would shake.

We love Kehei, and location of the Hale Kamaole units, we've stayed at the complex before. down side this tim ewas this particular untin doesn't look like its had any upgrades since the complex was built 40+ years ago. Also the ceiling was absolutely filthy, around the ceiling fans it looked like an inch (or 40 years) worth of dust hanging down. Over all we always loved the area, But when paying $600 + per night american, you should be able to have a unit that is spotless and something that's been reno'd at least once in the past 40 + years

Unit was nice and clean. King bed not great mattress needs to be replaced. Location was awesome beach directly across was good for snorkeling, swimming or boogie boarding! View was wonderful. Noise from the pool carries right into the condos and the rules of noise/horseplay was not enforced and there is no one around after the office closed to deal with it. One day there was a kids birthday party and they smashed a bottle of wine on the pool deck, had a piñata and were very loud. Multiple nights of kids playing marco/polo in the pool.

Location was perfect, unit was spacious for our family. We appreciated the extras- lots of kitchen supplies and boogie boards and beach chairs in the closet. A sink was blocked on arrival and was fixed immediately. What great service! The outdoor shower entering the property wasn't working during our stay so we used the one on the grass at the beach park. Checking in and out after hours was no problem, which was great since our flight times were horrible and our flights were delayed!
