The condo was a perfect spot for exploring the Big Island. We love Waikoloa and you could walk to the Hilton or Waikoloa Beach (15 min walk), and check in was super speedy. The access to the Ocean Club for dinner or sunset/lounging at the pool was a great perk. Staff there and food were top notch! Beach umbrella, chairs and towels provided-which was awesome. Owners were super responsive! Would definitely stay here again. Beautiful lanai for morning coffee. Bring your toiletries, but everything else is provided.

I feel like the photos online do not do this place justice - it is absolutely stunning! The host is very responsive and gracious. We appreciated the large space in comparison to a hotel room, and the use of the beach gear (especially the umbrella!) was appreciated more than words can express. Highlights:*The property is beautiful! *The bedrooms are huge! 2 large beds in the second room was wonderful for teenagers not having to share one bed! Both had plenty of room to relax!*The decor is amazing! And the balcony with loungers were perfect for drinking coffee in the morning*The pool area was gorgeous! The only heads up I would give would be:1) There was only 1 spare roll of toilet paper between the 2 bathrooms so if you're also traveling with girls, you may need to run out to get more 2) The pool and restaurant close at 8pm so plan ahead if you would like to have dinner at the Ocean Club (which was delicious! I highly recommend the fried green beans!3) The host provided us with the gate code ahead of time and it was 100% accurate, however, make sure you actually hit the # sign before the number. I thought the # was just there as in number, but you really need to hit the # button first! Totally my misunderstanding and the host was so quick to respond when I asked her about the code not working so to spare anyone else the confusion, figured I should mention it.Overall, we absolutely loved it here and we would definitely stay here again!

The home was beautiful! The air conditioning was a pain. Too many sensors. Made it difficult to keep the air at a comfortable temperature Also we felt that the description to the various amenities was inaccurate. Ten minutes to the ocean was incorrect. You have to drive to get to it or you can walk a 1/2 hour to another hotel and swim in their Lagoon if you want sand. We were unaware that we needed to Pay the resort an extra 25.00/day to get keys to stay there that was frustrating. We thank the owners for our stay.
We enjoyed our stay in the Hali’i Kai condo. This was my second time staying within this community and I love the quiet and roominess of it. It is perfect for two couples or a family and a better deal than getting two rooms at a nearby busy hotel. The pool is great and the food at the pool bar and grill was very good. A special thank you to the owner for the extras that were available including the tennis rackets, beach chairs and towels but especially the bug spray because I had forgotten mine and I am a mosquito’s favorite snack. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to The Big Island.

We have stayed here before and loved it and we loved that we could go through VRBO to book it. The condo was perfect. Everything we needed was there and it's very well decorated and clean. We would definitely stay there again.
Our stay at this Hali’i Kai condo was perfect. The check in was smooth and and easy. The unit was extremely roomy, and very clean and comfortable. All the amenities we needed were provided. Even extras like towels, beach chairs, tennis rackets and boogie boards. Hali’i Kai is a beautiful and peaceful community. The pool area is gorgeous and perfect for relaxing at the end of an adventurous and sun-drenched day, to kick back and enjoy cocktails as we watched the sun set. The surrounding Waikoloa Beach Resort Village is also beautiful and has everything you need. Shopping, supermarket, restaurants and golf. All in all we had an amazing and perfect holiday and were so sad to leave after 8 days. We will certainly my rebook here on our next visit to the Big Island.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The condo was clean and well appointed and beds were very comfy. The landscaping in this complex is so well maintained and quite beautiful. The pool is amazing! While there the ocean was teaming with whales which we watched from our lounge chairs. Can't wait to stay here again. Mahalo!

We had another amazing stay at Hali'i Kai. The condo and property is first class, as well as the Ocean Club. We enjoyed breakfast every morning on our lanai with a view of the coconut grove, and spent many pleasurable hours at the Ocean Club. Their food and service was great.
Clean, well-equipped, managed well. This is a beautiful condo. The patio is great to have dinners and drinks on. A very quiet condo complex. A beautiful bar and grill on-site to eat and watch the sunset. Everything was a A.
Property was great but the condo was dirty especially the floors and bathrooms. The beds in the guest room were poorly made as well. I am happy to send you pictures if you like.

This property is absolutely amazing! Perfect location, amazing amenities (unique beautifully landscaped private pool with restaurant / bar, massive amount of space, gated community close to everything you would want in Waikaloa. Short drive to Kona and many other great spots. Large lanai with peaceful view. BBQ facilities a short walk away. A very well run property with putting green, basketball court and tennis / pickle ball as well. The view from the pool is breathtaking and provides the most beautiful sunset view anyone could ask for. Live music on Friday / Saturday evenings was very nice.
The host's communication was clear and concise with all information you need. Any questions were answered promptly. The check in and check out procedure were easy to follow. We would not hesitate to stay here again in the future. This accommodation provided the perfect launch pad for our family to explore the island of Hawaii. Thank you so very much for sharing your beautiful space with our family. This was a vacation that will be remembered forever!

Awesome place to stay, resort style living, friendly staff, quiet secluded environment!
We have stayed in this condo 4 times and each time it has been great! We really like the decor it fits perfectly with the idea of Hawaii! The condo has everything you would need. The surrounding grounds are well kept and we like seeing the egrets and the wild turkey, who has visited us a few times. The Ocean Club on the Halii' Kai property is great for sitting by the pool, having lunch/dinner and watching the sunsets. The Kings and Queens shops are close for dining and getting a few groceries.
We will definitely be returning in the future.

This property was better than advertised and the countless high ratings are accurate. It was more spacious than I expected for our family of 6 with a nice large deck for outdoor seating. I loved that they included basics such as enough toilet paper for our stay, paper toweling, dish soap, laundry soap, dryer sheets and dishwasher tablets. Things that I always hate having to buy for a week stay as I often have to leave most of it behind. I’d much rather pay a little more and have these things included! There are also plenty of spices and basics to cook meals at the condo which we did multiple nights. The pool area was a hit with our family and we used it daily. We loved the accessibility to the golf courses and beaches which we used daily also. We rented snorkel gear from snorkel Bob’s for the week and our favorite beach was the black sand beach right next door with tons of colorful fish. We went 4 days in a row just to snorkel for an hour as it was so close. The food at the pool area was excellent and the fitness center was also used by our family. The hosts were very kind and responsive to a few questions we had and when the wifi was not working they worked with us the day we notified them to get it working again and it was fixed the same day. We enjoyed their recommendations for the Malasada truck a few miles down the road and for some local fish restaurants we enjoyed. We loved our stay here and would absolutely rent this condo again.
This may be the first rental I have stayed in that was better than the photos. Well appointed, clean, beautiful, quiet location. We made the pool at sunset a nightly routine - it was amazing to let the kids splash around while watching the sun go down and enjoying the nightly conch ceremony. We couldn’t have been happier with the host’s communication and the local setup. We’re already thinking about our next trip!

We are from Oahu and this is our second time staying in a Hali'i Kai condo and it truly is the BEST location in the Waikoloa / Mauna Lani area (in my opinion) and we've stayed at a number of the various properties over the last decade.
The reason Hali'i Kai is the best: the property is immaculate, the pool not only has a view of the ocean, but a full service bar & restaurant (although this was closed for most of our stay), and a full gym with also a view of the ocean.
The condo itself is modern, spacious, and fully equipped in the kitchen, with beach amenities (towels, chairs, umbrella, toys) and large, modern TVs. We also loved how quiet it was even though there were people staying next to us and below us, the construction is solid with thick walls so we didn't hear a thing.
The owners were also very communicative, quick to respond and very welcoming to their home.
We love Hali'i Kai and can't wait to come back!
