We spent 10 days in this bright and clean condo. The best part was sitting on the deck with views of the ocean. Perfect for turtle and whale watching!

This condo is lovely and nicely updated, much nicer than some of the other units I had viewed. There is no a/c; however, the sea breeze when the windows and sliding door is open is nice. At times I was a little chilly. Nice loft upstairs with adjoining bathroom and bedroom downstairs was nice. The only complaint I have are the ants. Tiny black ants are all over the place. I communicated this with the owner and they were quick to send someone to spray the unit. While I applaud the effort, the ants remained. They didn't bite, but we had to make sure we put all food away and wash our trash to minimize their presence. They were also in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Just pesky! Overall, we enjoyed our stay, great communication. We would actually stay again.
Everything we wanted to do we could find 10 min away or less (except surfing which was 30 min away). We went further to do some sightseeing but enjoyed seeing turtles in the backyard, eating breakfast on the lanai and using the pool daily to swim. It was a busy time at the condos but still quiet and relaxing! Will def stay again if we end up in Maui!

What lovely place! Everything and more as listed! Amazing views and short walk or drive to the beach. It does not have ac but only gets a little warm in the loft from 3-6pm. The nights are cool. The property is lush and a nice l pool. I would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Hale Honu! We were welcomed with a personalized note, pineapple, banana bread and great local coffee! The location is ideal and the home is very clean and luxurious. We could see whales from the lanai and the green sea turtles nearby were a great surprise! The kids loved the pool right outside and there were boogie boards and beach toys/chairs that we took to the nearby beaches a few minutes away. We had a wonderful stay and we will definitely be visiting again!

I stayed at this unit at Marina Surf for a total of 10 days. We are somewhat a bigger family of 5 so the space was a little small but still ended up working. FIRST OFF EVERYBODY NEEDS TO KNOW THIS UNIT DOES NOT HAVE A/C , it is very humid and hot and it was very hard to deal with having no AC. The washer and dryer are all the way on the other side of complex and cost $ 1.50 a load which was super inconvenient because by the time my wife had done 2 loads she was sweating bullets and had very little breeze during the day to cool Her down. The unit does have some breeze come thru but not during 9A- 6pm it was hard to be at the unit we had to occupy our time doing activities which was fine but still was tough to deal with. Secondly I have a 7 and 6 yr old and they could not even act like kids because there was somebody complaining from dusk to dawn , I had a total of 3 complaints of noise ( remind u if u sneeze somebody will complain because everybody has windows open and sliding door because there is no AC. If you have kids this is not the place to be, it was full of people 50 yrs and over definitely not a spot if you have Kids. I have no problem with the quiet time at 10 pm we did not make any noise but still got random complaints. SMH.. Also the ceiling fan in the downstairs bedroom sounds like it is about to fall down and was very hard to get sleep in this room with the constant clicking sound and the heat/humidity and NO AC!!!! It is a good location but not worth the money because when you are in Hawaii you want everybody to have a good time not constantly get complaints of False noise and old grumpy people with nothing better to do then complain about noise from a 7 year old boy . I would not recommend this place to anybody I know and we definitely did not have the experience we were hoping for.
We had an amazing time in Hawaii and our home was absolutely STUNNING and worth every penny!!
