Vacation Rental Details

Hale "Hā Hā" is a one-bedroom, one-bath, 588 sq. ft. apartment that has separate living quarters with a private entrance and a relaxing lanai. We now have air conditioning! We provide a welcome gift of local Hawaiian products, along with coffee and tea. The kitchenette is fully stocked with an induction burner, microwave oven, refrigerator, plates, silverware, blender, toaster and pots and pans. The lanai also has a charcoal barbecue for our guests to use, and we provide the charcoal to guess upon request. We are a short walk to Kahakai Park, our neighborhood ocean-front park. Our property is adjacent to an empty lot that we owner that is planted with fruit trees. We are generally cultivating an exotic fruit orchard! There is private, off-street parking for our guests. They are free to roam our outdoor property to see our flowering plants and fruit trees!

Our apartment has a 42" flat screen TV with hundreds of HD cable channels. There is also free wifi with reliable, high speed internet.

Cell service in this area can be spotty. AT&T works relatively well but Verizon and T- Mobil/Sprint can be a problem. High Speed internet is truly high speed and if you have WiFi calling on your phone, you should have no problem sending pics back to the mainland to your relatives! Our neighborhood is located within the Hawaiian Beaches neighborhood. We are 3 blocks from Kahakai Park, our neighborhood ocean-front park. Many birds inhabit the surrounding jungle areas and you are close enough to hear and sometimes feel the ocean waves breaking on the shoreline.

We are a short drive to Hawaii Volcano National Park, Kehena Black Sand Beach, snorkeling in Hilo and Pahoa nightlife. Experience the Big Island the way that the locals do. The Hawaiian Kingdom, Mauna Kea and the world's largest active volcano, Mauna Loa.

The Hele On bus stops at our front door if you need to travel to other parts of the island or Pahoa. Weekdays it is available continuously if you do not have a rental car. It is highly suggested that you have a rental, as it is 30 to 40 minutes to the airport with normal traffic. Cab service is available but can be expensive. If we are going your way, we will drop you off.
