We had a great stay, we will do it again
Amazing property, great location in princeville right on the golf course. Perfect for north shore beaches and if you’re golfing at the Makai golf course. Quiet hours listed as 10-7 AM but was told we were being too noisy while conversing on the patio at 8 PM.

The house is exactly as pictured in the photos. Lovely, clean, comfortable, roomy, great location to everything. Everyday someone would remind all of us how perfect the house fit our vacation. We had 6 adults from 30’s to 70’s and two toddlers. Everyone had their own room, bathrooms and favorite place to play, nap, read etc. Never once turned on a TV. Heaven
This home is beautiful. The living/dining/kitchen area is spacious and comfortable. It worked out perfectly for 4 adult family members to have separate bedrooms. We enjoyed the back patio and being able to walk to the market and a few shops nearby. There is also a stunning view of the sunset across the water within walking distance. We’d love to return!
We loved our stay at this property. It has a large central space that comfortably holds 8 people. There are four bedrooms and all bedrooms have real beds (the listing said one of the bedrooms had a foldout bed). And it is located on the Princeville Makai golf course, which is a beautiful course although a bit on the expensive side (the county course is also great and less expensive and a 45 min drive). You can walk to the beach at Hanalei Bay, which has amazing snorkeling. And you can book the shuttle from the golf course to Hā’ena State Park, which has a great hike and is also great for snorkeling. This place also has a great outdoor area that looks out on the golf course. If you love birds, this is an amazing place to stay with so many varieties that you can watch from the lanai. The one thing we didn't like and I hope they will fix is that it has a poorly installed fridge that is a bit of a pain to use. Despite that we loved our stay and would go back.

This was a great stay. House has everything you need including great beach toys, a cooler, snorkelling gear and even bikes for the kids. Kitchen is very well appointed. The location on the golf course is great. Great indoor, outdoor living space and had a few bbq’s! Really close to the shops in Princeville as well as local beaches!
It was a great trip and this rental house is large, spacious and adds a large backdoor patio looking over the lush, super green, golf courseI'd reciommend it for sure! The only Con is the blanket situation -- I expected there would be a couple of blankets but there wasn't any aside from the actual bedding. Blankets and a a few more options in the game closet. Game closet would be clutch.
This home was perfect for our family of six with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a huge living/dining/kitchen area and a lovely covered outdoor dining area. It was spotlessly clean and well appointed and in a quiet golf course neighborhood. A few things to be aware of are (1) no air conditioning, which was ok for us in the winter, but might be pretty toasty in the summer, (2) a pull-out sofa bed that was a bit saggy and uncomfortable for an adult to sleep on, but would probably be ok for kids, (3) a bit further than expected from a full-sized grocery store and the beaches--about 15 minutes drive, (4) and lack of nonstick cookware, which made cooking a bit difficult and messy. But despite those small things, I would definitely stay here again. It's actually the loveliest VRBO/holiday rental we've ever had, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Maholo!

My family and I had a fabulous week at Hale Alaula! The home was beautiful, clean and spacious. It was a treat to return to after a day of adventures. Conveniently located, quiet, and well stocked with essentials. Makana properties were fantastic to work with. We needed to extend our stay for a day and it was no problem whatsoever.
The house was great for our group. The host did provide a pack and play which was appreciated! We had a wonderful stay.
We had a great time with our 3 kids in this home. It is a wonderful neighborhood and the check in process was seamless.
We came to town for a wedding and found the perfect spot. Very clean , accommodating and easy to follow directions. We’ll be back!!!

A very nice and clean home in the Princeville area.
Our extended family had a restful and enjoyable time during our annual visit to Kauai. Hale Alaula was immaculate, spacious, and comfortable. The descriptions of the property were accurate. It was conveniently situated close to many North Shore activities, beaches, et cetera, yet was in a comfortable, quiet, and private neighborhood that allowed us to end our adventure-filled days in quiet and comfort.

We had a wonderful stay at Hale Alaula. This property was great, comfortable, clean for our extended family (6 adults and 2 kids). We were able to make this our little home away from home for 11 nights and I would absolutely stay there again in the future. Great property!

This home was beautiful and had everything we needed!! The entire property is beautiful! We stayed with 3 couples and had plenty of room. We were thankful for all the fans provided they were nice at night. The mangers were quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.

The home was beautifully decorated and very well thought out for it's guests needs. It's close proximity to Hanalei is a great thing for dinning and swimming. The tennis and swimming pool on site is a big positive. My family had a great time staying at this fabulous place.
