Had some issue with our check-in. We have a late flight and arrived at the condo at 11pm-ish. The code that was provided to us didn't work and I have to call their customer service and has to turn my roaming on (additional charges) so we can all get in and get some rest from a long day of travelling with children. The customer service that help us has very loud and noisy background, a child is crying non-stop during the phone call, he is very loud and I can't understand what the guy is telling me that I have to put him on the speaker phone so it doesn't hurt my ear as it is. We were given a new code for the door, but the fact that we have to use the speaker phone to be able to understand him, we felt uncomfortable leaving our valueables as someone could have heard ou conversation in the hall way, and enter the premise. I called customer service the following day and told him the situation. He told me no one can come as it is Sunday and the earliest is Monday. I asked him what time can they come, and he said he will let me know. I haven't heard anything after that. I sent a message thru the VRBO app, but I didn't get any response. So we have to bring our valueables every time we go out just to be sure. I feel like this could have been dealt easily, but I guess our concern is not important to them. The location is great. We love the view, & that we were able to cook.It has everything we need for a week. Laundry machine beside the unit is a plus.
Nice location. You can see the ocean in between the other buildings. The whole condo appliances look like they have been updated. However, the doors, windows, were a little old for my taste..Small kitchen
The building is an older building, but the condo is nice and comfortable. Having an ocean view and being within 2 blocks of the ocean was very convenient. Having a parking garage was a must as we knew that parking was an issue in the area and we needed a car during our stay. We did have an issue with the door code not working, and it took a bit to get ahold of anyone, but they did end up providing keys so that we would not have an issue for the remainder of our stay. We were sad that the pool was undergoing renovations, but understand the need for upgrades and maintenance. Would stay here again.
Check in was easy as we arrived very late. Unit was very dusty as if the unit was vacant for a time. There were picture hooks with no pictures, as if it were forgotten. The kitchen did not have scissors, a baking sheet, or cheese grater. The unit was provided with 2 dishwasher tablets, 3 rolls of toilet paper, and 2 garbage bags. If we wanted more (family of 4 for 16 days) we could request these items for a 25 "consumable fee". We ended up going to the mini mart in the building for these items. The unit was basically tidy, and very basic, view was great, and did look . Would we stay here again? The building yes, our 4th time in the Banyan, but not with Koko resorts.
Great co do and great location
we loved the condo and especially the view
The condo was clean and neat and was fully equipped.
We would stay again.
Several suggestions:
put a floor mat at the front door for shoes, bags etc so sand is not scattered around.
provide fitted sheets for the bed, regular sheets shift around while you sleep and pull out all the time !!
provide a couple more tea towels
hang a mirror by front door so can get a full length view
The stay was good. Suana and restrooms on 6th floor weren’t working when we were there. Elevators were very slow. Parking was also bit of a challenge.
Stay was great! Corner unit is very quiet with laundry next door. Elevators suck but that's how it is with every condo downtown Waikiki.
Would recommend for couples or traveling for work. FYI... Pots and pans are kept in the oven.
Nice view and easy access to downtown.
We found the Waikiki Banyan was in a great location, not the most modern of apartments but functional and clean.
Our family of 4 would happily stay here again.
