Deluxe large studio, full kitchen and bath, walk to 2 fabulous beaches. Peaceful and quiet residential neighborhood. Close to shopping and beaches. Everything provided just bring your toothbrush. Private washing machine. We even supply laundry detergent! (can cost $20 a day + to rent at THE BEACH) Many guide books, and again local knowledge. Full kitchen microwave, toaster oven, blender, George foreman, nutri-bullet etc. Easy walk to the beach and the best weather in Hawaii! We are 100 miles North of the Volcano.

My husband & I have stayed at many condos in our extensive travels around Hawaii. This was our first stay on the big Island so wanted something very reasonably priced but also an escape from the rush of a new vacation site. We found it with David & his lovely family. Our space felt so safe, comfortable & inviting, as well as quiet except for lovely birds! Highly recommend as a safe place during busy travels! Plus lots of snorkel/board equipment & good travel advice!

The studio apartment needs updating. The cabinets are all taped up, the apartment needs paint, there was a smell coming from the bathroom, and the screen door was broke.

The room was perfect for what we were looking for! Comfortable and well stocked. Close to the beach and restaurants - everything you could ask for. David was very easy to communicate with and get a long with and was willing to provide anything we needed. Would stay here again when we come back to Kona! Thank you!

The property was perfect for my visit, as I came by myself. David (the host) was very welcoming. He was always suggesting places to explore and experience. He was very helpful if you need anything. As long as you took care of his items and asked, he is happy to lend them out and let you borrow it. The kitchen had everything you’ll need to cook while you stayed. If you don’t see something, ask, and he’ll make sure you have it. The surrounding area was quiet and safe. I plan to come back and stay here again.

Clean, comfortable accommodations with everything that you need to cook your own meals and to play at the beach. Private patio featuring a clothes line and washing machine.
It’s in a residential neighborhood close to the beach.
Relax and explore the Kona coast!

Very sad to be leaving this Vrbo today. The house is just off Alii drive and about two or 3 blocks to the beach. Magic sands beach area is close to everything but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Kona. The house itself has a queen bed, 2 recliner chairs, a coffee maker, and enough appliances and stuff to make your own food. We averaged 2 meals a day on site and one at a restaurant. It was nice having access to the beach equipment, chairs, a cooler, towels, and snorkeling gear. The island has a lot of rocks,…make sure to take beach shoes or flippers when you go snorkeling. They have a few in the closet on the patio. The best place to snorkel is just about 5 minutes south. (Keauhoua) I think is the name. There are 3 fans in the place and we were never too hot even though we had 3 or 4 beautiful sunny days. This is the perfect place to call home base while you explore the island. Make sure to go to a coffee farm, we enjoyed Greenwell which is about 10 minutes away. We also went to the Kona brewery which is about a 15 minute drive. The volcano National park and waterfalls can be done in a day trip! We left about 8am and returned around 7pm circling the entire island. I just copied a viator tour and drove it myself. Have fun! Stay here and save the money. In general everything is expensive so it’s nice to get a good deal on the Vrbo.

Very clean, excellent location, and priced right. Everything we needed and more. Washing machine was a great bonus as we were traveling to another island before heading home. Host was also great to work with and made checking in easy. Mahalo David!

We felt very welcomed when David stayed up, waiting for us for check-in when our plane/car rental was delayed at night. When the neighbourhood experienced a short power outage during a heavy storm, he came by with flashlights and matches, and checked to see that we were doing alright. The property came with everything we needed, from towels to soap, kitchen supplies, and snorkelling gear. All we needed was to show up and everything was ready for us. David also took the time to provide us suggestions on where to go for safe snorkelling and swimming adventures, since my wife is pregnant. Overall, we had a marvelous experience staying here! We highly recommend David and his unit!

The property has all the beach gear you could ever need, and David and Akemi were friendly and communicative hosts. Highly recommend!

Hy husband and I stayed here for a week, and next time we return to the Big Island, we know where we are staying! The host, Dave, was very welcoming and told us all about the places to visit on the island. The room is very cozy and spacious. The kitchen has all the necessary things if you want to cook at home, with an adorable patio where you can have your meals or coffee. Also, you will find anything you need for the beach at the place (beach towels, coolers, chairs, beach umbrellas, snorkeling gears... and more!) that will save you some money! The best part is it's just few min walk from a beautiful local Magic Sands beach.

Loved the property. Host was amazing! I loved the short walking distance from our place to both Magic Sands and Kahalu’u Beach Park. Very convenient.
