We have a large group family of 8 adult and 1 child 11 year old. This place is beautiful and very clean, close to the beach. But it's definitely not for 9 people, I don't consider these two place in the house is for sleeping. The couch is definitely not comfortable for 2 adult and the up stair is very hot event with small air fan. The ladder is dangerous to claim up and down the stair. This place is 5 star, but it only fit 5 people not for a large party of 9 or 10. I'm happy with the location and the cleaning, the space is disappoint that not fit all of us. We have to move the dining table to the patio and put the mattress up stair to the floor and sleep in the living room. There is no air condition in living room, it's hot in day time event we turn on the fan max. If you travel with 5 people this is the right place, but if you have more than 5 people this is not the place for your group.

We often had the pool to ourselves, occasionally sharing it with at most one other family. The location is convenient and it was easy to get to many different beaches. One thing to be aware of: the loft ceiling is quite low and the space there is tight. The extra twin rollout bed is at the floor level.

The property is very clean and we loved having the lanai available with the bbq. Definitely comes in handy with a big family who doesnt want to go out every night. We'd absolutely stay here again.

The property is in great condition. The house has everything you need to make your stay a memorable one. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking supplies and the kids had everything from games to snorkel gear. Great place to bring a larger group.

First the good things about the bungalow:
1. Location is phenomenal. Love this part of Maui and snorkeling at kahelili beach was the best. You do have to cross the major highway to get to there but there is a crosswalk.
2. Property management was very responsive, kind, and great to work with. Truly one of the best.
3. The owner sends an online guide that is very nice and helpful for the stay.
The cons:
1. Smaller than it looks. Really only comfortably fits 2-4 people. The loft is tiny and just has a couple mats on the ground.
2. Older than it looks. There are some nice updates they have done to the unit but expect a 1960's bungalow including the smell.
3. The unit was picked up with a superficial cleaning. Definitely not deep cleaned. There was a large greasy handprint on the headboard that was gross. My wife wiped off several cabinets that needed it.
4. Hotter than expected. The unit is not climate controlled. We did go in the hot season and I understand that it is a tropical island. They only have two small old wall units that they ask you to only run at night. With all the windows open, it was still 80+ degrees during the day and first part of the night.
5. Cockroaches. We only saw 2 so it is not like it is infested. I understand it is a tropical island but my kids were freaking out and refused to sleep in the loft when they found the second cockroach crawling by their mats. Ended up getting a hotel for the last day of our stay so we could sleep well.

The location is fantastic with an easy walk to a swimmable beach. Our family all got to swim with turtles at two different local reefs. I did an 2.4 mile open water swim one morning. I would definitely stay here again.

The kitchen, bathrooms, and overall appearance was great, and had everything we needed, and the house was very clean! Also, the beds in the two main bedrooms were very comfortable. The West Maui location was super convenient with a short drive to great beaches, restaurants and entertainment. Dan was very helpful and always responded quickly to questions, and made suggestions for things to do. I highly recommend this place! Aloha!

We are a family of seven and there was a place for everyone to go inside the bungalow. The lanai is GREAT, a wonderful place to have coffee and enjoy the still of the morning or hang out with family and have food and drinks in the evenings! A home away from home! Their place even provided a few body boards and other items for beach fun! This definitely is our place of stay when we come to this side of the island!
