This Condo, located in Waikoloa Village, on a beautiful golf course, but also close to a prime snorkeling spot adjacent the a Marriott resort. The rooms are spacious, nice master, 3 bathrooms, well appointed kitchen with an electric stove and dishwasher.
We hit 5 primo snorkeling beaches nearby. (we had out own equipment). We swam with turtles, reef sharks, and gorgeous schools of tropical fish. I also highly recommend the Captain Cook snorkeling trip in a private secluded cove teaming with beautiful ocean life.
There is a small expensive grocery store nearby which is quite convenient and a bit pricey. 30 minutes away are a Costco (cheap gas), Target, and a home depot.
The cable TV worked well for watching the Olympics and the internet was high speed and reliable.
We had a great time and appreciated and respected the property.
We loved out stay in this condo in Puako which was actually part of the Fairway Villas by Outrigger, not really Waikoloa Beach Resort as stated. The online listing was not very accurate. Our condo did not have this view of the pool as depicted online. But our view of the golf course was acceptable. What was totally unexpected though, was the fact that the condo was on the 3rd floor. This was not mentioned anywhere online. In fact, the online pictures showed patio seating on the ground floor. The advertised 3rd bedroom turned out to be only an open loft on top of a spiral staircase which would be hard to access for older people. But the owner clarified this (without mentioning the spiral staircase) when asked before our departure. In general he did answer all our questions timely . But he didn't offer any extra information beyond that and there was little extra info in the condo itself. But everything worked out fine one way or another. We actually had no contact with the owner or the property manager at all and it was a neighbor who told us where we had to park. In total a nice clean condo, comfy beds, everything worked. But more accuracy and information would have been helpful.
