This was a great spot to be centrally located between Kihei, Wailea (walking distance to Wailea Mall Shops), and the state park beaches at Makena, Big Beach, & Little Beach. We hang out at the beaches everyday so, the daily screams of kids wafting up to our balcony meant we had no desire to check out the on-site pool. The view from the balcony was awesome but, due to beach time and watching the sunsets from there, we spent little time in the condo itself. Speaking of which, the kitchen was very well equipped (short on wine glasses) and there was a very good assortment of beach umbrellas, snorkel and sand castle gear, and beach chairs (one with broken shoulder straps; hey - it happens). We return to Maui every year so, we would look to stay at this place again.
Management of the property were very responsive, but some things were out of their hands, e.g. condition of furniture. The overall condition of the condo was shabby. It never felt clean. The furniture was worn and torn. The quality of the linens felt cheap.
The view from the lanai were spectacular. It was unfortunate, we never really felt comfortable staying here.
We have visited Maui approximately 30 to 35 times over the past number of years.. Mostly staying at Wailea 90% of the time. Both my wife and I were extremely disappointed with the 1706 condo.
> The area rugs in living room and both bedrooms were worn, stain ed and filthy.
> Shower mats snd rugs in each bathrooms were stained, dirty and worn.
> Living room sofa was badly torn on one sude with stuffing cominf out. I advised your office in Wailea. Their response was that the condo owner was aware a was in the process of replacing.
> The throw pillows on the sofa were dirty.
> The door closing rim of the dish washer was broken and poor attempt was made by using duct tape or electricians tape.
> Overall the condo simply was only surface cleaned. Seemed an overall quick wipe down after the previous tenants, fast and quick.
> Not enough hand towels or wash cloths for 4 people.
POSITIVE SIDE:
> The kitchen remodel was lovely and well equipped.
> Overall interior decoration was generally very nice.
> Lani furniture was very nice. View of the ocean was beautiful.
> Kudo's to the gentleman who fixed the clogged drain in the second bathroom sink.
> Generally, all thing considered. The condo was over priced and did not meet our expectations.

The condo was perfect for our family. Well stocked, amazing views, and fantastic location. The complex is very quiet and the grounds are immaculate. The pool is very close to the unit. The management company was very responsive. Overall, great experience.
My husband and I spent ten lovely nights in this condo and loved every minute of it! Gorgeous lanai with fabulous sunsets. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Great space to WFH with reliable wifi. Enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrellas. Calm and quiet community that was very peaceful. Enjoyed the pool which was often empty. Absolutely would book again!
This was a really nice space for our family overall. The kitchen is well appointed but needs more (smaller) glassware. The master suite needs a door on the bathroom because otherwise there is no privacy and we all had to share the other bathroom at different times of the day. The view is fabulous but the unit backs on to a very busy road. Service vehicles, trucks, cars and emergency vehicles travel that road from 5am-11pm every day and that woke my kids up early and kept them up late many times. I would rent at Ekolu again but not this specific unit.
We had an amazing time during our stay. The condo is very close to the Shops at Wailea as well as many beach options. We enjoyed the convenience of the beach chairs, cooler, towels and umbrella. The view is amazing and the beds are super comfy! Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

A wonderful wonderful place to stay. It’s so close to the shops in Wailea and Wailea beach if you wanted you could walk to both. Fresh plumeria on the balcony and palm trees everywhere you look. The pool is great you can see most of it from the balcony, and so warm it was wonderful to relax in when the wind and waves got to big. We will be back without a doubt. The staff we dealt with at AA oceanfront / HomeAway were wonderful as well. The condo is amazing I the kitchen was great every knife was sharp. Toys for the beach we left a boogie board and fishing poles to add to the growing collection of goodies to use. We loved loved loved our vacation and selection of Wailea Ekola # 1706 ❤️❤️❤️😄😄
