We and our 4 married adult children (5 couples) spent 10 nights at Alohilani for our Christmas/New Year holiday reunion. It was perfect for us. Plenty of space and seating inside and out. Great location within walking distance of beaches. We would highly recommend and visit here again!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! The location was very convenient and was walking distance to Shipwreck beach. It was a short drive to Old Koloa Town for supplies and shopping, and we were there a lot.
The kitchen was well equipped, though the amount of starter basics was limited to mostly oil, salt, pepper. There were plenty of pans, plates, prep tools and serving/storing dishes and appliances. The fridge was a good size and worked well.
The back patio was lovely with a fully fenced and well-landscaped area. The grill worked well and there was plenty of seating -- perfect for home-cooked outdoor dinners, which we enjoyed on most nights.
We also appreciated all the other STUFF that makes a beach vacation a packing nightmare. This included beach towels and beach umbrellas, and bathrooms pre-stocked with basic toiletries (though we would have appreciated a few more paper products throughout the house).
Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms were must for our 9 adults. The house was spacious enough for people to spread out. Porches and balconies were nice as was decor. Fans and AC worked well.
The only thing that keeps this from being a perfect review were a few broken items that would make us hesitate about booking again if not fixed. For example we had a party of 9, and the sofa bed was broken, so our 9th person slept on just half an opened couch.
But the hosts were responsive to texts, and if they verified repairs we would definitely highly recommend!

We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and brought all of our kids and grandkids to Kauai. The house was large enough for every family to have a room, great living and dinning areas and a wonderful pool. We BBQed every night and enjoyed Poipu Beach. We definitely will return.

Only complaint is the house wasn't ready at 4:00 when promised for check in. After a long flight with kids and a three-hour time change killing time for the 4:00 check in then having to wait another two hours to get into the house wasn't a great start to our vacation. The house perfect for our large group, great location. Beautiful house, great pool. Plenty of room for everyone. Had a great time!
Highlights of the property were the pool, the privacy, the location, the open airy feeling, the air conditioned bedrooms, and the great second floor lanais. The house accommodated our party of nine with plenty of space to spare. The pool was well kept and a big hit for everyone after a day of exploring or back from the beach. Boogie boards were provided and were used daily with just a short jaunt down to the beach. Mornings and evenings started and ended with taking in the view and relaxing on the second floor lanai. Overall, everything about the house worked out perfectly for us with no complaints from anyone in our party.
Check-in was straight forward and the management service personnel were easy to get a hold of and quickly responded to my questions.
Beautiful house and property and a great location. Had house for a big family trip and everyone kept saying they wanted to stay longer. Kitchen was fully equipped, house was clean and very comfortable and each family had their own space. We would definitely book here again!

We were a party of 6 family members and friends eager to stay close to the beaches of Poipu. The house was ideal for our group. By the end of our stay, the rental was everything we hoped it would be. When we arrived, there were several issues; it was almost as if they were not prepared for our arrival. The house was very neat and clean but the back door was wide open to a torn screen door. Two bedroom AC remotes were missing. The pool was dirty but cleaned the next morning. The TV remotes were in need of batteries. Our bedroom blind was completely torn off the header. The password provided for the WiFi was wrong and only resolved after we looked on the back of the router for the correct password which we conveyed to the property management. Each issue was addressed quickly by the caretakers with the exception of the blind which was ordered. Upon our departure, the house was nearly perfect so that we would recommend this beautiful home.

We were a family of ten celebrating a 70th birthday. We chose Alohilani because of the swimming pool-- with stairs and a basketball hoop!-- and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. We were not disappointed. It rained the first two days, so we were grateful for the swimming pool where lots of fun was had. We liked the layout of the upper floor: there were two bedrooms on each wing of the house so that parents and children could have bedrooms side by side. A bathroom was accessible for each wing--one with a main bathroom and the other with 2 ensuites. A long staircase led up to these rooms. Luckily even the 3 1/2 year old was able to manage by herself. Upstairs were three lanais which were not used much due to proximity to the upstairs rooms. We 'elders' had a huge bedroom on the main floor with shower and clawfoot tub and a sliding door onto the pool area. The furniture was scaled to large; at 5'1 I saw myself only from the nose up the entire vacation. No problem! The kitchen area was amazing. Lots of room for several adults to prepare and there were oodles of glasses, small plates, bowls, large plates and serving dishes. If you couldn't find it, you just had to keep looking; it was there. Beside the kitchen was a lovely coved area with a round table which looked out at the pool. We ate occasionally at the 10 person table at the front of the house. In the bins outside were many boogie boards and lots of goodies.
This house was a perfect setting for our family to enjoy a long overdue get together. Everyone enjoyed the privacy of their own bedroom while we shared cooking in the large, well equipt kitchen or BBQing on the gas grill outside. The common rooms were spacious enough for us all to be together yet there were balconies or other spots for books to be read or games to be played.
I would recommend that anyone walk the 15 minutes ( or drive ) to Shipwreck beach, as it was the one we enjoyed the most.
All in all the house was the perfect setting for our family. Everyone loved the time we spent there.
We loved the well stocked kitchen and the AC in the bedrooms! The house was very clean home arrival. The communication with the Poipu Agents have been awesome from start to finish!
