The room was good, loved the views, the location is close to the beach, across the street from the Honolulu Zoo and right on the bus route. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The only negative was the black mold in the bathroom and the wobbly sink faucet. Also the stools were wobbly and unsafe to sit on. Nothing that a little upkeep couldn't fix.
Our stay at the Waikiki Grand Hotel was amazing! The room was clean, the host were always responsive, and being a half a block from the beach was amazing.
Check in process was seamless. Mark was an amazing person as well. Unfortunately the room had plenty of water damage and was definitely dated. The sheets were itchy, we were told after three days we could have new sheets delivered and when new ones requested we were told to use the community washer and dryer. We checked out after two nights and paid for the rest of our stay at the Hilton.
Absolutely wonderful. We love visiting sights Everything was easy to get to. The sundeck was a lovely way to spend our mornings.Spent time with our daughter who is local.Tv was oddly losing signle but wasn't important enough to us to call or do anything about it.I do wish there was a full length mirror.
Perfect place to stay for the week! Mahalo
Staff was great helpful and friendly. Room was clean and ready when we arrived. Pictures for listing did not match what the actual room looks like.
This was a great spot to be near the beach, places to eat, and relax without needing to drive anywhere. I did rent a car to get over to Ewa Beach, but the parking at the zoo was super easy. The place is just as described. I slept well on the comfortable bed, really enjoyed the deck on the 10th floor, ate at nearby restaurants, and walked to see the sunsets. Thanks to the kind desk management who answered my questions, were friendly, and even had a beach chair and umbrella for me to use.
Older style hotel with individually owned rooms. Our room 719 was not the best . It had a ridiculous layout. No where to put any clothes, not one draw or cupboard. It had a hanging rail with 6 coat hangers. Kitchen was just as impractical with very little space and very little by way of crockery cutlery etc. The hotel it self is great and the deck on 10th floor fantastic. We chose to move to a beautiful apartment on the 10th floor and were extremely happy. Highly recommend certain rooms and would stay again. great value for money and best location.
Location was amazing. Our room was exactly what we needed. We worried about someone commenting about "bathroom mold" as my wife has allergies and while the bathroom counter needs to be replaced it was not bad enough to be a problem. Management and front desk were GREAT. Could borrow chairs and items from front desk. Would recommend and stay there again!!!
Good lodging for the price in dowtown Honolulu. However you realy dont need a car in that area, because you can't find parking anywhere. Enjoyed the location walking distance to most needed stores.
Location is amazing and the bed is very comfortable. The condo is very dated which is fine as long as it’s clean but it was not clean. The floor tile in the kitchen had lots of grimy spots like it wasn’t washed, had to scrub the shower before using it and there is mold in the bathroom. I contacted the management company about all these issues but haven’t heard back at all. Also, the pool area is not maintained to the point of not being usable.
We enjoyed the completer stay. The location is centrally located to beach, restaurants, convenience store, shopping and bus line. The laundry room was a plus.
Location was great and the room was clean.Must have water damage in the bathroom though as there is mold around the faucet et paint peeling from ceiling.Overall we did like our stay
Cute apartment, easy walk to the beach and shops. Bus stop is right outside. Mark was obliging when we requested a early check in iron and towels ( unfortunately we found these later on in the bathroom cupboards) Bit of confusion with who we talk to about changing the linen and emptying the rubbish. We requested at the front desk on the 3rd day and it wasnt done until the 5th.I think it could've been made clearer to us upon check in or at the time of booking as to who takes care of these things while we're there. Communication was only through messaging, felt like this could be better. FYI front desk only give out laundry powder, nothing else. The bathroom could do with an upgrade, The bathtub needs a good scrub and the bench has rot behind the tap. Lovely to have air con but it's so loud, it felt like we were still on the airplane. Had a issue with the heat pump dripping, saturated the carpet which wasn't a pleasant smell to sleep in. Took two attempts to fix it. Lovely place to stay, just a few minor things to consider. This is the whole point of giving feedback. Thank you. front desk
We had a great time and found our stay to be the best option in town
Room is small, but adequate. Had to use stool from the kitchen to put next to my side of bed to put my phone and c-pac. Location was good, close to beach, Diamond Head, and other locations. Washer and dryer is in basement and works very well. The shower in the bathroom was not great, wish it was better, you need to open window to have ventilation. The bed was very comfortable, restaurant in bldg was good, so was the bar. Front desk was helpful and the rooftop deck had great views of Diamond head, zoo and beach.
Great location!! There were plenty of good restaurants close by. Bed was comfortable. The only complaints. No kettle for my wife to have a cuppa tea, and the air con was a little noisy. This said, we enjoyed our stay. Great value for money considering you are in Hawaii..
I was impressed by the level of cleanliness and attention to detail in the room. The location of the hotel couldn't have been better. Being so close to the beach and everything else made exploring the area a breeze. And let's not forget about the breathtaking views! Watching the sunset and sunrise from the top 10th floor was an experience I'll never forget. The view of Diamond Head was simply stunning. I can confidently say that I will be returning to this place in the future. Your hospitality, combined with the outstanding amenities and prime location, make it an unbeatable choice for anyone visiting the area. Thank you for making my stay so memorable.
Run down gay bar in hotel said was condo i guess of you dont come clean the room that make it a condo rude staff pan to cook with no stve or hot plate even just mini fridge that smelled like rotten fish very decieving
Great place to stay at! Very close to the beach and shops. Would deff come back.
The location was perfect! Only 2 min from the beach and close to anything we needed!
The property is conveniently located right across from Waikiki beach and at one end of the Waikiki walking strip. The lobby is open which is good and bad. Overall, the hotel condition is average but the room was spotless. The manager/owner communicate effectively before, during, and after stay. Would come back here in the future if I visit Honolulu again.
