The Space:

Morning light filters across the city skyline as trade winds move gently through your private lanai. From the 34th floor of Waikiki Banyan Tower 2, you’re perched above Waikiki with wide mountain, canal, and golf course views stretching beyond the city. Evenings glow with Honolulu’s lights while the steady island climate keeps each day comfortably warm and breezy.

The condo

This fully renovated one-bedroom condo accommodates up to four guests and offers an open, comfortable layout designed for easy island living. Air conditioning and a ceiling fan help maintain a pleasant indoor temperature year-round, while large windows and balcony access bring in natural light and expansive views.

The bedroom is separated from the living area by a sliding door for added privacy and features one queen bed and one full-size bed, along with a closet and dresser for storage. In the living area, a pull-out sleeper sofa provides additional sleeping space. Room-darkening shades and extra pillows and blankets support restful nights.

Kitchen & dining

The kitchen is fully equipped with full-size appliances and everything needed to prepare meals at home. A dining table offers space to gather, with additional counter seating for casual bites or morning coffee. Whether you’re cooking a simple breakfast or winding down with takeout, the layout keeps things convenient and connected.

Bathroom & essentials

The condo includes one full bathroom with a walk-in shower and bathroom essentials provided. Fresh linens and towels are supplied for each guest. Paid washer and dryer access is available in the building, with laundry rooms located on each floor.

Outdoor living & building amenities

Step onto the private balcony with outdoor furniture and an outdoor dining area - an ideal spot for coffee at sunrise or a relaxed evening overlooking the city. Guests have access to a shared heated pool, hot tub, and sauna - the pool and hot tub are under renovation until May 2026. The recreation deck at Waikiki Banyan is currently undergoing a complete transformation and is scheduled to officially reopen on May 18, 2026.

Once completed, this will be the largest recreation deck in Waikiki, entirely rebuilt with all-new amenities, landscaping, and furniture. The redesigned space will include:

• Three brand-new hot tubs

• A brand-new sauna

• All new loungers and daybeds

• Modern barbecue and grill stations with seating

We stayed here 3 nights. The location is a few minute walk from the beach, restaurants, and shops. The space was clean and well stocked with kitchenware. The sliding door between the bedroom and living space was a huge bonus when putting little kids to bed! My only suggestion for improvement would be better curtains. The ones there let city light in all night, making restful sleep difficult.

This unit is exactly as advertised. It was very clean and comfortable. The building is older but for the closeness to walking around Waikiki you can't beat the price. The views are amazing especially at night. Down side to being on the 34th floor is it is very windy out on the lanai. We just stayed here for a few day before continuing to Maui. We would definitely stay here again.

Check in/out was flawless which is all done remotely. So easy!! Unit was very clean, has amazing views of the mountains/city from big windows in the living room and bedroom. Kitchen was well stocked and having a dishwasher was such a bonus. A few things to be aware of: the sofa sleeper is not very comfortable, the window coverings are thin and lets the sun in, so as the sun rises, so will you! Overall, I would stay here again for sure.

Property was will equipped for our family’s needs. Perfect location to walk to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes, etc. Only issue was a sticky patio door that took some finessing to open. Pool area is older but with the beach so close, we never even thought to use it. Bright open space with great views.

The accomodation has been great. It’s very convenient in location to the beach and buses. We didn’t use the pool as this was not what we were after and headed to the beach most days so can’t really comment on the complex facilities. The apartment suited our needs, the amenities were good, the hairdryer, toaster, oven and the car park were good and the uninterrupted mountain view was lovely. Our only recommendation is if the room had a full length mirror and a clothes hanger. Thanks again - Mohalo!

Overall it was a nice place to stay in the heart of Waikiki, just few blocks from the beach. All the information provided by Midway was very helpful and made the check-in process and the stay enjoyable. My only negative points would be the sofa and the chair were disgusting, the bed in the sofa was so uncomfortable that we could not use it, and the kitchen lacked utensils (only 3 forks), glassware, etc.
