Absolutely beautiful place to stay...good location and in a guarded neighborhood that made you feel safe. The pool was absolutely amazing!!! The flowers and the folage was beautiful. Just a nice relaxing stay. We never even turned the tvs on, mostly sat outside and enjoyed the pool and the amazing sunsets, every night.
We stayed at this home in Kona for 7 nights, and unfortunately, it was a very uncomfortable experience for my family and me. Every night, we had to deal with gnats, bugs, flies, and mosquitoes throughout the house, especially in the evenings. We all ended up with numerous mosquito bites, whether we were on the balcony, by the pool, or even inside the house. We have vacuumed every day to get rid of these dying gnats. One of the biggest issues was the lack of air conditioning. During the hot days, we had no choice but to open the sliding doors to let in some breeze, but that only made the bug problem worse. The house is not well-sealed, and we were constantly battling flies and mosquitoes. The home is minimally stocked with only the most basic essentials. The personal care items provided were of very low quality—shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were unscented and felt cheap. We also couldn't find common household items like disinfecting wipes or plastic wrap for food. The kitchen supplies were outdated, and all the knives were old and scratched. This was our first visit to Hawaii, and unfortunately, no AC really impacted our enjoyment. Some days we were out exploring, and coming back to a hot, stuffy house with no relief was exhausting, especially for the kids.If you're planning to stay in this area, I strongly recommend choosing a place with air conditioning. It can make a huge difference in your comfort and overall vacation experience.
Property is well setup and good for a large group. The open kitchen and sitting room is nice. Neighborhood is safe and good for walking. Parking in the garage is tight but manageable. Views from the pool with sunsets is a plus. Great restaurant and grocery store within a mile. Drive to Kailua-Kona is 10 to 15 minutes, depending on traffic. Truly a great place.
It was a beautiful relaxing place to land after a day of experiencing the island.
We visit the island often and stay in Keauhou Estates often. First time for this house, it was very comfortable for our family to spread out and enjoy some Aloha. I would stay here again and recommend it to others. Yes, we saw a few tiny ants, yes it was warm on the arrival night because it was closed up. However, the overall stay was great. Only down side is there is always someone doing work on the property or property nearby. Starts at 8 am on most days. Blowers and trimmers are a little too constant but, understandably out of the managers control.
Overall this was a beautiful home in a great location. We had a great view of the new years fireworks in Kona and amazing sunsets every evening. What caught us off guard was the fact that this place had no A/C Which wasn’t a big deal because the time of the year that we were there but I can only imagine what it would get like in the summer months . Overall I would highly recommend this place.
Good property for a small group in a nice area
Really lovely home & neighborhood. My family had a nice time. The house is well stocked with everything needed for a stay - great amenities like the BBQ and pool/beach toys. Super quiet neighborhood and comfortable beds. There are some things to be aware of before booking - there's no AC, and it's not clear in the listing which was a huge bummer for us. It was HOT the week we stayed. There were fans in every bedroom which helped. The pool is lovely, but the tile around it is very slippery when wet (which is like all the time due to rain and wet feet). They need to add some texture out there to make it safe - almost everyone fell at least once near the pool.
House was infested with ants. Left shortly after arriving for a hotel. Kona coast could not find us another house to stay in.
Wonderful home, many areas to relax, keep in mind no A/C at this home so the afternoons/evenings were warm during our stay. The view to the ocean was so very nice at sunset especially. Everything we needed was available from beach gear, fans to keep the house a little cooler and everything was in very good condition from furniture to decor.
Multiple areas to hang out for accommodating various activities and lounging. Huge kitchen with basic equipment and plenty of dinnerware and utensils. Comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms. Sunset views from the pool.
Great base for a wonderful vacation
“I’ll be back!”
Lovely home overall, furnished well, and the location was perfect l. Appreciated the amenities provided but the lack of AC made the first three days rough. To the point that we went back to mainland a day early. Even with the fans on and doors open the place was stuffy. I was hoping the fans would be enough… they were not. Also normalizing the pest. The welcome book outlined that some of these pest are normal. Geckos I understand, I understand that you can have rodents if your not clean but having German roaches. I’m from the east coast get an exterminator and gnats Amazon literally sells items to help with gnats and I probably wouldn’t have had so many gnats if I didn’t have to keep all the doors open to get some airflow at night.
