Property Overview

TIKI HALE LUA welcomes you to a beautifully uodated 2 BR / 2 BA Townhouse at Keauhou Kona Surf & Racquet Club. Our townhome, in this oceanfront complex, exudes pride of ownership with beautiful & comfortable furnishings, art work, entertainment systems, items for beach use and the Aloha spirit in every room creating a home designed for comfort and relaxation! This is a highly desirable, quiet, family-friendly and gated 14 acre garden community with cultural sites and the ocean only steps away.

*We have a split zone air conditioning unit which comfortably cools the downstairs and both bedrooms upstairs!*

The tropical setting, views from the resort and close proximity to the sand and surf will offer you all the comforts of a hotel (yet not the pricetag) with plenty of space to spread out and relax. You will also have the convenience of being able to prepare your meals in a fully prepped kitchen with refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven and more.

In addition to all the linens, starter supplies of soaps, and paper supplies, we also include a cooler, plenty of beach towels, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards, tennis racquet's/balls, pickleball paddles/balls and ping pong paddles/balls to supplement your land and sea excursions.

Our townhome has been updated! Solid granite kitchen counters, stainless steel appliances and a new washer and dryer downstairs for ease of access & use. The bathrooms offer large walk-in showers with beautiful tile work throughout. Upstairs and downstairs is all tiled.

*Both bedrooms are upstairs. The master bedroom has a California king size bed and the 2nd bedroom has two twin beds (easily converted to a King upon request PRIOR to arrival). Both bedrooms are furnished with comfortable linens & bedding, ample closet & dresser space and cable TV.

Our townhome comfortably accommodates 4, but can accomodate 6 using the king, two twins and the queen sized sleeper sofa downstairs. We have a pack and play crib for infants if needed.

From the private ground floor Lanai you can relax and enjoy the tropical breeze, or take a short 45 step walk and watch Spinner Dolphins swim the coastline, whales breaching during their migration and incomparable sunsets with the ocean waves literally breaking in front of you. Bring some of our beach chairs and a pitcher of your favorite drink and relax as you watch the sun slowly set beyond the horizon each evening and view the light in the sky dance and change hues moment by moment. We are positioned on the path to the beach, which means we are just feet away from the ocean and the lull of the waves are ever present.

We are located in the upscale Keauhou area, our complex is a highly desirable, quiet, family-friendly and gated 14 acre garden community featuring 3 lighted tennis courts (tennis pro available), a swimming pool that was fully refurbished and wonderful community BBQ, ping pong table, picnic areas and a grass volleyball court.

*Our unit IS NOT ocean facing but you can see the ocean from master bedroom seasonally and hear the lull of the waves and peacefulness of the gardens. We are approximately 45 steps from the ocean.

We are also a short 7 minute walk to Kahalulu Beach Park which boasts the best snorkeling and turtle viewing on the island. There is also surfing, paddleboarding and kayaking there. We are also just a short 4 minute drive to the beautiful Magic Sands Beach. Where you can play in the water, boogie board, play volleyball or just sit back and relax. We are ideally located to many of the popular locations on the island.

There is a designated parking spot only 30 feet from the front door and a secure WIFI connection in the unit; both are free for our guests. If you enjoy a game of tennis, you will be delighted with our newly resurfaced, premier tennis and pickleball courts which are also free for our guests. We even supply 4 racquets and tennis/pickleballs for your enjoyment! There is a volleyball area, ping pong table and two separate pavilions and a grey sand beach with petroglyphs and turtles just a couple minutes walk from the unit. The beach is not a swimming beach. Yet perfect for exploring, fishing, watching sunsets and morning yoga.

If you like to BBQ we can happily accommodate that as well. The complex has several gas and charcoal BBQ's. Our guests also enjoy the convenience of a shopping center complete with restaurants, drug store, groceries, and more. The shopping area also has free hula shows on Friday nights and a farmers market on Saturday mornings. If you are a golfer there is excellent golfing available at the adjacent Kona Country Club Ocean Golf Course.

Please note: There is NO smoking/vaping/e-cigarettes allowed in the unit or lanai. KKSRC is a non smoking complex. The complex property does have three designated smoking areas for guest use.

Tiki Hale was the perfect property for our week in Kailua- Kona! The accommodations were clean, spacious and well supplied for all our needs. Meals on the lanai were a treat! We all enjoyed the beach, which was only steps away. Snorkeling at Kahalu’u Beach Park was within walking distance. We were all thrilled with our stay here and would highly recommend it

We really enjoyed this spot. The townhome is well-stocked with amenities such as soap, TP, shampoo, and conditioner. One big bonus was a huge bag of sand toys and many beach chairs! We enjoyed meals on the lanai. The home is equipped with many ceiling fans and AC in larger rooms. We had an opportunity to meet the owners and enjoyed saying “hello.” The pathway to the black sand beach is 5’ off the back step, so it was excellent to go there every night for the sunset. It takes about 1 minute to walk to the pool. Our kids (ages 7, 10, 12, and 13) loved the pool since its depth goes from ankle deep to 8-9’. They were able to jump and dive to their hearts’ content. The public outdoor grill for use and a designated parking spot were wonderful. We also felt that dealing with trash disposal was super easy and effortless. (All the mundane things to think about while staying in a rental really matter.) We are fairly frequent users of VRBOs and very avid travelers (husband works for the airlines). This is a great spot in a great location still on Ali’i drive but away from the touristy bustle that you feel peace and quiet. A grocery store and gas station are minutes away. You won’t regret it.

As our first real stop on our 1st trip to Hawaii, our stay here set the tone for the entire trip. The accommodations were wonderful and the Hawaiian vibe could be felt thru-out every inch of the home. Our hosts were wonderful and reached out to us to let us know if we needed we could contact them anytime. We felt very welcomed!!! Also the property had everything we needed, even things we didn’t know we needed! Overall was absolute amazing experience!!! Highly recommend!!!

Great place with plenty of room. Owners were easy to communicate with and thought of everything in terms of amenities. Having the beach be less than a minute's walk away was truly the highlight for our family.

This property is absolutely amazing! It was the perfect location, very well appointed with all the essentials and more. It was perfect for our family and the hosts were beyond accommodating. We will stay again and have recommended this place to all our friends. We just couldn’t be more pleased with the townhouse, location and exceptional hosts. It truly is the best value in Kona!

The description was spot on. I went to the pool one afternoon and there was a fair amount of sunbathers. The pool was just large enough. The chaise loungers were plentiful and comfortable. Walking to the adjoining beach was so close, and it was nice to watch the sunset. The fans and a/c was great! At night we turned the a/c off and opened the windows and were very comfortable. The use of beach towels and chairs were super handy. Plus the washer and dryer!! Overall it was a great place. It was just me and my daughter so we had plenty of room.

We loved staying at this property. It was a quick walk to a beach with tidepools. Quiet property and neighbors. It was close to the main highway to get to places but far enough away from the touristy part of Kailua that you could relax and have quiet. We stayed here with our 11 year old and there was plenty of room for each of us to have our own space as well as family time. We appreciated having the full kitchen available so we didn't have to go out to eat all the time. Doug and Donna were so helpful and kind. We would most definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends and family.
