Beautiful Oceanfront Corner Unit

We enjoyed our short 4 night stay in this unit! Beautiful ocean front view. Just as pictured. Comfortable, clean, Kitchen stocked with the basic necessities, home away from home. There was also a white binder in the living room with information about the rental, resort, and emergency protocols.Easy check-in & checkout process. As a sleep number owner with back injuries, I was pleased with the bed. The mattress topper was great & made the bed very comfortable. The owner let us know the bathroom/shower exhaust fan would be out of order during our stay, it did not affect our stay in anyway.2 full sets of bath towels & 2 beach towels were available if needed. Washer & dryer worked great.Only used the dishwasher upon leaving but it seemed to be working fine.The unit has 2 beach chairs and an umbrella, a deck of cards, Scrabble board game, and a beach paddle ball game set.We loved the sound of the crashing waves, especially at night. Peaceful. Quiet hours from 10pm-7am. The resort has a bar. I didn't realize it til our 3rd night when I went to Dina's to pick up a salad. It closes at 11pm unless it's a slow night. The drink special was a tequila sunrise for 5.50 Memorial Day weekend 2026. 5.50!!! That's a great special. Highly recommend you stop in during your stay. Perfect proximity to EVERYTHING MAUI has to offer. Location, location, location! 15-20 min to the airport. 5-10 min to Wailea. 15-20 min to Lahina. 25-30 min to the start of Road to Hana.

The location can’t be beat! We had such a beautiful stretch of beach right outside. Perfect for everyday morning walks. Condo is located close to so much to do and eat, which was really nice.

Great location! Comfy bed. Lots of amenities in the kitchen and stuff for the beach.

We loved this ocean front condo. It was clean, comfortable & in a great location for us in a quiet area of North Kihei. Walking 5 miles on beautiful Sugar Beach in the mornings was magical! During our stay, a Kona Low storm hit the island with Kihei taking the worst hit. I can’t say enough great things about John , our VRBO host, who went above and beyond to help us. He was available and in touch when we needed it & brought supplies when we were unable to get them ourselves. Thank you John! You are a kind & compassionate man and will forever be a part of our Maui adventure.

We love staying at Sugar Beach Resort and have many years. This was our first stay at this unit, which was nicely furnished and a quiet ocean front. The unit was clean. There were a few small repairs that needed to be made, which the owner was working on, but these didn't interfere with our stay.

The condo was as described on the website including the photos. Condo was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The owner was responsive and promptly answered any questions we had.

First of all the condo has the best view one can wish for. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. Very quiet building. The beach is beautiful and accessible. Our host went out of his way to help when I had forgotten important belongings. We hope to return each year.

Lovely unit, quiet corner of building with spectacular ocean front view. Sounds of waves permeate the whole unit. Very comfortable bed. Host very responsive and involved. Great place to stay. Pool is great and ocean swimming a few feet from the unit!!

It was a beautiful place and we had everything we needed

This was the perfect location to stay in Maui. The view from the living room is stunning! We loved starting each day with a cup of coffee, sitting on the balcony looking at the ocean. The washer and dryer came in handy, and it was nice that a small amount of laundry supplies were available complimentary. The kitchen had everything we needed as well. It was so nice that the condo also included two beach chairs and beach towels – they definitely came in handy. We took advantage of the pool on-site and even ate at the cute sandwich shop on the property (food was great). The location was convenient – it was easy to get to wherever you wanted to go on the island. All this at a very affordable price compared to other properties!

We absolutely LOVED this beachfront condo!!! It is right on the sand at Sugar Beach, which by the way has endless walking with your toes in the water. White sand beach with calm WARM ocean water. All kinds of waterspouts to do here because of the calm ocean, Bonus! This end unit is on the 2nd floor and extremely private as well. Super comfortable as well, especially the long bed, and the kitchen suited is perfectly as we had all our meals on the ocean view deck. Can’t say enough about this condo’s condition and location. When we go back, we will definitely be renting from John again :) !

We loved this condo. Clean, well appointed, quiet. Sitting on the balcony enjoying the relaxing sound of the ocean. Nice swimmable beach and pool. Really just perfect.

All around a great place. Easy. Accessable. Sugar Beach is terrific to walk on, not the best swimming. Condo could use updated furniture on the lanei. Overall no complaints.

Property and View is priceless.Could invest in new linens and towels as the towels smell musky. Area rug also needs a shampoo.

We had a fantastic stay and met up with family to celebrate a special occasion. While there, we also went turtle & whale watching, ate at the famous Mama’s Fish House, so much more…

THE GOOD-Firstly (and maybe most importantly), this owner and unit is an overall 4.7 experience(my opinion). Communications with John were a solid 5.0. When asked a question prior to or during the rental, the answers were immediate. Excellent owner.- Secondly, cleanliness of the unit upon arrival was a 5.0. - The view is a 4.7. The side window was useless to us because it is on the 2nd floor. We kept the shade closed the entire 11 days because the adjoining property can see into the condo. No biggie , but it would have been nice to have that shade open.- Sugar Beach location (for my wife and I who like to *relax* and separate from the humans) was a 4.8. There are always a few loud kids or cars that affect the resort experience, but Sugar Beach Resort is a nice location if you don't want a crowd. If you want to be able to walk to restaurants and shopping, this is not a good option. If you want quite, it's great.- Bed was SUPER comfortable. Only 5 pillows, but enough for us. - The lawn chairs, pool, public bathroom, lawn, landscaping, beachfront, stairs, elevators, were all in good condition.THE BAD in 2/25- The ice maker is inoperable.- TV speaker in living room was intermittently crackling- Condition of the overall Sugar Beach Resort is a 3.8. ------It's clean, but the overall condition of electrical, mechanical, structural, grills, is in need of attention (as of 2/25)Summation: I just booked another 2 weeks at SBR!!!

Excellent location. The complex was right on the water and the views were awesome. Communication with the owner was great and check in and out was seamless.

The location is amazing. Very comfortable place with all the amenities including AC and in apt laundry. The owners and agent are flexible and accommodating. The resort is decent, but the beach and views are spectacular!

Very relaxing stay. Amazing view and very quiet condo. Great comfortable bed and everything you need. John was a great host, I had issue with wifi when I arrived and John called provider and walked me through resetting it. Worked the whole rest of my stay. Spent most of my time on the Lanai. Second floor condo and so close to the ocean you don’t even need to leave. Pool, hot tub and grills at the resort all work great and never real busy. Easy parking right in front of condo. I did not want to leave but back to reality. Can’t wait to return!

Beach view from balcony was awesome. Hearing the waves in the condo was so relaxing. Dina's sandwiches shop food was great and not having to clean up to go out. Couple suggestions, 1. Replace the sofa 2. Fix the ice maker. 3. Replace the toster.Everything overall was excellent. We will stay here again next time.

My girlfriend and I stayed the week and the condo was great. Ive stayed at Sugar Beach Resort several times and this condo worked great. Close to everything in Kihei and love the view.

I love the location in Kihei and the location on the property. The ocean waves so close were magical. Yes, it could be updated a bit. If so, eg, new sofa, nicer furniture on the lanai, nice sheets - that’s all, it could rent for more easily!

This property was the perfect spot for two to enjoy a vacation. The views were beautiful. The kitchen was well stocked with all you need. There were beach chairs and coolers available. The location was excellent for restaurants and all the sight seeing you want to do. The resort was a quiet place to stroll the beach, sit at the pool or enjoy the sunsets.

John’s place was wonderful! Beautiful balcony to sit and read, relax or enjoy a nice meal. In the evening we would listen to the waves from the living room. It was very relaxing!

Spacious and well-equipped condo, nicely furnished. The lanai with its view at the ocean is amazing. Nice location in more laid-back area of the island, great place to start your trips wherever on Maui. We enjoyed this place a lot and would be happy to come again.

In the perfect location, with easy drives to everything Maui has to offer, this one bedroom condo just steps from a beautiful sandy beach is the perfect getaway. Beautiful balcony overlooks the ocean and the pool is a nice place to lay out and view the ocean. Highly recommend!!

View was amazing. Property was clean but things to know. Needs to spray for bugs, enough said. Be prepared to stop at Walmart as bathroom supplies are minimal. Shower may or may not have a birds nest growing in window. Being kinda picky but this property could be top shelf with a little work. It is definitely a rental with rental type amenities. Area is good for a lot of shopping and dining. Very convenient to airport. Wish there was a 4.5 but didn’t feel like it completely justified a five star. A nice place to stay.

John's place is amazing and 100% accurate to the description, pictures, and reviews. We were in heaven sitting on the balcony listening to the calming ocean waves, drinking coffee, and watching people mill about the beach. Location is absolutely fantastic and central to many things on West Maui. I will stay here again next time we are able to make it here.

My husband and I stayed at Sugar Beach 240 Condo on the ocean and it was lovely! The communication with the host was easy, the vibes were good (friendly), and we could see whales from the patio! Thanks for the beautiful few days of relaxation.

There isn’t enough space! For the premium cost: apt. Poorly stocked (Kleenex, TP coffee eg.) , ice machine not working, room not ANYTHING like pictures. !! POOR communication as far as checking in, no door code provided, prop. Mgr. useless!! Etc. etc. not a good experience.

Love being right on the water and hearing the waves lightly crashing. We sat on our balcony & saw some Whales breaching. It was awesome. There is a cute little bar over by the office. Everyone is so friendly! Drinks & Food were great🌺
