Great communication, easy check in, great location! Nice amenities, walking distance to two beaches. I highly recommend:)
Awesome communication. Great stay. Would love to come back
Nice quiet neighborhood. It is outside of Kona town, so a drive to get any food or coffee. There is beach access within walking distance. Great for solo travelers
Everything was perfect and clean. Was super easy to get ahold of host and besides noisy neighbors we enjoyed our stay
Our stay here was great! The property was as listed and the host provided many additional items we were able to use during our stay (coolers, beach chairs, beach towels, snorkel gear, etc). While there isn’t AC there are two ceiling fans and the screened in windows provide a great breeze and sleeping was very pleasant. The only down side was the amount of mosquitos that were able to get into the room and bathroom.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in the Royal Palms room. It was really peaceful and it had the accommodations we needed for a quick two night stay. The description of the property is very accurate. You may need ear plugs if you're not used to the sound of koki frogs at night. The noises were not an issue for us. They do have complimentary ear plugs. We will definitely stay here again when we are traveling without kids!
Central location. Online listing accurate and what we expected!
Nice place, pretty sparse but that’s just what we were looking for, didn’t spend much time there just to lay my head. Lots of loud birds right outside so bring some ear plugs! They kept me up all night long both nights. I slept maybe a few hours altogether. I dont think owner can do anything to fix that but just a heads up for anybody wanting to stay. Bring earplugs!
This was a perfect stay for a quick couple of days in Kona. Super clean, well-equipped, and in a great location. We loved all the shared beach gear and other helpful supplies. Isaac was a great host and even shared quarters with us so that we could do laundry! There are large screens open to the outside throughout the unit so you definitely hear some noise from neighbors (and coqui frogs) - probably not the best place for you if you need complete silence to sleep or if you tend to make a lot of noise, but we loved the fresh air coming in to the apartment all night! Would definitely return.
Nice place easy access for beach and restaurants.
We loved our stay at Isaac's place! So close to excellent snorkeling. The screened windows let us hear the morning birds... Beautiful. We appreciate the patio barbeque area and the beach equipment.
This property is in an amazing location with close proximity to the beach and downtown Kona. Plenty of parking if you have a car and you can hear the ocean at night! Will stay again!
When I stepped into this property I actually said “Oh, Wow” out loud. I’ve never done that with any property before. The room was even better than described/shown. It was bigger than I expected it to be, the bed was super comfortable, the frogs at night were brilliant to sleep to, and Isaac was a fantastic host! I really wish I’d had more time there. I slept with all the shutters open and was out like a light each night. Admittedly, I do sleep with an eye-mask to block out light. But I did not need earplugs. It was a perfectly peaceful retreat.
This unit it nice and clean and had everything I needed. The location is excellent and the grounds are lovely. If you’re a light sleeper you might want earplugs (which they had on site). The only reason is because at night you can sometimes hear the louder cars on Ali’i Drive. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay there again.
Host was very pleasant and accommodating. Very comfy bed and pillows. Reasonable price.
Nice place however walls very thin I heard my neighbor coughing for 3 days… I had earplugs but walls too thin for my liking.
The property was conveniently located with access to multiple beaches that are only a short walk away (10-15 min). It was so nice to have beach equipment (towels, chairs, coolers, snorkels, etc.) available! The room itself was clean and met all our needs.
We enjoyed our stay. The apt was clean and had everything we needed. Isaac was very nice and helpful.
This spot was just what we needed for our stay on the Kona side. The apartment felt super clean, was stocked with dishes and small appliances to make our meals, check-in instructions were very thorough, and the location was perfect for an easy stroll to the beach. The unit is small, but still felt very open and airy and had plenty of ocean breeze to stay cool. And our host Isaac was exceptional in his quick communication and he shared tons of great recommendations, too. It was such a nice touch having a spot to share extra/leftover supplies with other travelers also! Only downside was the amount of noise from the street and the other guests, but we expected that being in a shared house. Overall, a wonderful stay and we'd definitely pick this spot again!
One of the best stays we’ve had in a long. Good location. Very clean and host was very freindly and helpful.
Great location, very nice for walking to two different beaches. Was a bit noisy located just off Ali drive.
The space was clean and nicely furnished. Easy to follow inst.rutions and check in and out. Comfortable bed, small but adequate kitchen. Only complaint is the noise from the street and the neighborhood birds begins about 6:15 a.m., and there was no going back to sleep!
The room was well-provisioned and comfortable. The snorkel and beach equipment was awesome to have! Tub wasn’t very clean and the proximity of the road and early-rising upstairs neighbors made for noisy and early (5am) wakings. The screen walls were otherwise lovely.
Nice place, as described
Nice, clean spot. Simple and perfect for my wife and I.
I'll give the place and the host a 5 star! My husband and I enjoyed our stay !
We LOVED this place. The location was perfect for snorkeling (Kahalu'u) AND boogie boarding (Magics)! Nice quiet little building, just off Ali'i drive, and the property manager is such a a great guy! The place was super clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. We would absolutely stay here again and again!
Clean, quiet, very well equipped (to beach towels in the closet and an ice pack in the freezer). Parking is convenient (unusual in Hawaii) and walking to the local beaches is lovely. Kitchenette allowed for leisurely breakfasts, tea in the afternoon. Would love to stay again.
Very comfortable and stress free
Nice and quiet neighborhood that's not too far from multiple beaches and an easy drive to restaurants and shops. Isaac was a great host and provided me with a bunch of recommendations on nearby things.
Nice digs, No AC Excellent hostn
A good vacation
Great access to all the Kona coast attractions. Ours was a very Beach focused itinerary so we really appreciated having access to cooler, beach chairs, umbrella, mats and snorkeling gear.
This property was perfect for our stay on the Kona coast. Clean, convenient, and the owner was delightful!
Can say enough about Issac’s place. It was clean, the neighborhood was lovely and quiet and Issac was a great host. Will go back there
Very clean and comfortable suite in an accessible location only 10-15 min walk from 2 great beaches and easy access to downtown. Clear check in and check out instructions, very friendly and approachable host. Nice outdoor seating and bbq access was a plus. Provided my partner and I exactly the relaxing vacation spot we needed - would recommend to anyone looking for a chilled out holiday :)
We had a one week easy stay at this pleasant multi-rental home south of Kailua Kona. Check was good and the VRBO had everything that we needed. Mahalo !
Nice and close to the beach, there aren’t really that many places to eat close by, we used the trolley to get around town which was nice but took some planning. It’s a nice quiet neighborhood with two beaches in each direction 1/2 mile.
Pretty cool spot close to the good spots but out of the way of the traffic. It was pretty well outfitted with necessities, nothing fancy but the basic things were there. No oven, electric hot plate, tea kettle, coffee maker, toaster, microwave and basic utensils. It doesn't have a kitchen table so you eat at the coffee table, not really an issue for us. There were a few condiments/spices etc left over from other guests so I'd check it out before shopping....take a little leave a little sorta deal, kinda cool. One thing we didn't realize it is pretty open air. Most of the windows are screen/no glass with bi fold shutter doors on the inside. Pretty cool concept, lets the breeze in, water too in driving rains with the shutters open. But, it can be a little noise with traffic/wind/rain etc. We had a pretty big rain/windstorm the first two nights. There is some road noise from time to time when things quite down. It took a little getting used to but was also amazing to hear the waves crash. We liked it, just trying to give an honest review. We didn't use any of the beach chairs/boggie boards or coolers but there appeared to be a good assortment of stuff. It is a single apartment building so you are on site with several other people. Most everyone kept to themselves. But you do hear people from time to time. I'm sure we made our own noise too. Overall great place for a couples get away. We'd come back and can't reccomend much to change.
My husband and I were looking to unwind for a couple of days after being with our family of eight for a week in another rental. This was a great spot for us to do so.
Short drive to Kahaluu beach.
lovely little studio. Although on the first floor this room is very bright and open, and the greenery around the house gives the necessary privacy. I really liked how the lack of windows brings the outside in. Everything is clean, very well organized and tidy. The kitchen is well equipped with all necessary utensils and appliances. Isaac is a wonderful man and that makes him an excellent host. His attention to detail shows that he really cares about how his guests feel. I felt very welcomed and had a very pleasant stay. Very convenient parking in the backyard. The neat and quiet neighborhood with the ocean on the other side of the street makes it an ideal combination for a fresh morning walk. It was nice to sit and have a meal at the table outside from time to time. As for the details, even the stones on the table outside were beautifully arranged. It was nice talking to you, Isaac.
This is a lovely studio I'll definitely go back to in the future. It has a unique style - using shield instead of glass window, but you have the perfect privacy with all the lovely plants surounding, and perfect temperature without AC. It has everything you'll need like a home. Very spacious. Parking in the backyard, quite, close to beach, I jog everyday along the ocean when i stayed there. Plus, my vacation turned out to be an onsite virtual interview, so I spent the most time in the studio and used the internet for video a lot. The internet is perfect speed, beating the star hotels in Waikiki. The host helped me to check in 3 hours ahead becuase I had an early afternoon meeting. I'm glad I picked it.
We absolutely loved our stay! It was close to two different beaches so we were able to walk down to each beach and not have to find parking. Seemed very clean and all the appliances worked. The owner/manager was very responsive. The only thing I feel compelled to mention (which happens to be both a pro AND a con) is that it’s very open so you can hear everything inside and out. I loved it personally because you could hear the birds chirping and waves in the distance, but if you are someone who is easily bothered by any noise you may want to bring some good ear plugs. Overall great place for the price. If you like the beach house vibe, then this is the place for you. I definitely would rebook in the future.
Clean, perfect location, comfy bed. Needed a little coffee.
