BEACH INFORMATION
The beachfront at Royal Kahana experiences seasonal ocean current changes that impact the beach’s physical appearance and size.
During fall and winter, sand may be swept away, limiting direct access from the property. The sand typically returns in spring and summer.
Our HOA, County of Maui, and the State of Hawaiʻi are actively working to restore Kahana Bay to its full potential.
While beach access may vary seasonally, there is public beach access within a 5-minute walk.
(Photos taken on 1/16/23 show usable beach, but this is not guaranteed year-round.)
IMPORTANT NOTES
HOTEL ZONED:
This property is Hotel Zoned and NOT in danger of the possible upcoming short-term rental ban.
PEST CONTROL AND ROOSTERS:
Due to Maui’s rural location, you may experience the occasional rooster or harmless gecko.
Geckos are friendly, eat insects, and are considered good luck in Hawaiʻi — please don’t harm them.
The HOA schedules regular pest control, but insects and small wildlife are part of tropical island living.
HAWAIʻI CLIMATE:
Hawaiʻi’s tropical environment allows insects, rodents, and lizards to thrive.
If guests encounter more than expected, we will work with the HOA promptly to minimize interactions.
Our units are thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
Contact with such pests does not constitute a breach of agreement or justify refunds or adjustments.

Older building, but the condo was nice. Beach had a lot of coral so we used other beaches near by. Pool cleaning left something to be desired several days. Condo was pretty clean. Overall a good experience.

AC was broken but cool breezes and ceiling fans kept room comfortably. View from balcony beautiful. Kitchen and bathroom stocked with basic necessities and appliances. Big plus is down in pool area is a trailer that serves an amazing variety of food.

This unit was a perfect location with an amazing view of the ocean. The unit was clean, well-stocked and overlooked the pool/BBQ's. It was lovely to hear the ocean; it lulled me to sleep nightly. We enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to return!

We loved staying here. Everything was great and as expected. It’s a prime location where you could walk to get coffee or grab a bite. One note is that the A/C does not cool below 70 degrees but it hasn’t been that big of an issue for us. They have been very responsive and helpful. Thank you for an amazing stay!
This place is even more beautiful than the pictures. Close to the best beaches and restaurants on Maui. Spend a week surrounded by the blue expanse and rhythm of waves. You won't regret it.
Super clean and had everything we needed to enjoy my little vacation with 2 teens. They played in the pool and snorkeled in the ocean right outside the property. Convinently llcated, Overall we had a great time.
We loved staying in this condo with views of ocean and sunset. You could hear the ocean waves day and night. It was amazing. It was well maintained and had all the things you need to cook, enjoy the beach and area. We appreciate the owners taking extra mesures to make things confortable. We were able to explore the island during the day and come back to relax in the pool before having dinner and enjoying the subset from balcony. We even had our breakfast out there. We saw sea turtles swimming along the shore from the balcony! if you are looking for a quiet relaxing place to stay. This is it! And the hosts are easy to work with The staff at Royal Kanana are friendly and helpful.
