Pu'uwai Place in the heart of Volcano Village

We had a great stay! The house was clean and comfortable. Communication was excellent, and the check-in process was smooth. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting.

Great location for visiting the volcano national park. Dont miss the cooper center on sunday morning for good food crafts, thrift shop and. .. only a 3 min walk away. Also spent a relaxing evening in hot tub after hiking in park. All communications with host were promp and friendly.

The location of this place was great. The check-in was easy and the host communicated immediately when I sent a message. She actually called me in person to explain the switches for the fans. The kitchen was very basic. The nonstick fry pan needs replacing. There aren’t very many basic dishes in the kitchen cupboard so if you were more than four people, you might have difficulty. Is really only set up for four.The dishwasher is not screwed into the cupboard and was tricky to get to run. We had some difficulty figuring out how to run the heater that’s in the dining room above the hutch. It was cold in the morning. I’m not sure we ever really figured it out but the days heated up so it was just fine at night. We did not try the washer and dryer which are outside and quite rusty on the outside. Nor did we try the hot tub or use the game room. I’m sure a lot of people would really like that especially if they have children. The bathroom outside shower curtain looked a little mildewed and could stand to either be washed or replaced.While this is not a high-end place, its location can’t be beat. The decor when you walk in the front is quite lovely.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place as long as you’re not expecting luxury.

The host was incredibly sweet and attentive. Would highly recommend for her alone, but the place was just as nice with a great location! I couldn't have asked for anything better.

This place is SO CUTE!! We come often to Volcano to to escape Honolulu and enjoy the park, and we like to stay in places that have a nice outdoor area to hang out. The pool table, bbq, tv and outside dining area was so much fun! The back yard with the hot tub was beautiful. I had questions about the kitchen and they were answered promptly. Super easy to find, unbeatable location. We are excited to book this place in the future!

Lovely and clean. Great location

This was an amazing location with such a great outdoor living space. From the hot tip to the pool table there was so much to do. Everything was clean and the space was decorated so well and was so welcoming.

Our host gave us all info necessary to check in and make ourselves at home. This is an entire 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom place with everything you need to stay there. It is very nicely decorated and the big screen TV is great. The entrance to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is just a couple of miles down the road so you could easily be in the park for awhile, go home for a bit and return for lava viewing at night. Our host communicated quickly and kept us informed of anything we needed to know.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property-it had every comfort of home and beautiful interior design. We were so close to the Volcano and everything that the Park had to offer. We especially enjoyed seeing the night sky filled with stars from the jacuzzi and had fun playing pool! So happy we were able to enjoy this lovely spot!

We've rented dozens of places on our trips around the world. This was one of the best. We particularly appreciated the detailed and timely information from the host.

This charming home is just a couple of miles from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. We were able to drive up to the park in the early morning hours to see the brief 26th fountaining of Kīlauea. The house is beautifully decorated and has all amenities necessary for a very comfortable stay. My grandsons declared the beds “very comfy” and wanted to be sure that’s included in the review. We definitely recommend Pu’uwai Place

Our stay was wonderful and the property exceeded our expectations. Perfectly located to visit the volcanoes and Hilo town, the only regret is that we were not there longer to enjoy the home more. Communicating with Danielle was easy as she replied to my messages quickly. For anyone wanting to explore the volcanoes, or just enjoy a relaxing getaway, this is the place.

I’m afraid once my rating gets out I won’t be able to book this property again because it will be all booked out. This was a great property! It was extremely clean and had all of the amenities that we needed. This was my 1st Vrbo experience as I usually book with the competitor, but I’ll definitely book again. My only regret is that my trip wasn’t long enough! Much thanks to the property hosts.

We needed a last minute stay overnight and found this new listing, no reviews so I was crossing my fingers! This place is super cute and has awesome outside charm!
