Lovely 2 Bedroom Cottage Near Brenneckes Beach! Best Location in Poipu!

The cottage was lovely -- clean, well-supplied and in a great location. Our host and the property manager were great.

What an absolutely perfect spot for our Kauai vacation! I still can't believe we were lucky enough to find it available. First of all, as others have mentioned, the location is unbeatable. We watched the sunset from the lanai and spent the day watching turtles, whales, dolphins, and monk seals! When we wanted to take a swim in the ocean, we walked 30 seconds across the street. We had more than one person walk by the cottage as we were reading on the chaise lounges and tell us we were the envy of everyone. Seriously, just book it! You won't be sorry. Beyond the location, the hosts are incredible and have thought of everything you could want or need in a home away from home. When we walked in, there was soft lighting and island music playing. Everything was immaculate. Honestly, the photos online do not do this place justice. This is easily the best vacation rental we've ever stayed in. Grab your swimsuit and your flip flops and leave everything else at home, you won't need it! We're already planning our next trip to this magical spot. Mahalo, Bob, for your hospitality!

This location is amazing! We worried about business on the beach road, but it just wasn't an issue at all. Breakfast watching the waves from the lanai and sunset on the loungers!

What an ideal location! Beautiful home and property. Seconds from the beach. Love the front porch and huge yard too, which is a rare find. Excellent host and prompt replies! Highly recommend this place!

The house and the location were absolutely perfect. The host and the property manager were sweet as pie. We were all sad to leave this beautiful location but definitely plan to return. No better place than here to spend Christmas.

We spent a week at beautiful Brenneke’s Beach Cottage. The Cottage has a homey beach feel to it. It was a relaxing vacation overlooking Brenneke Beach with lush greenery surrounding. A short walk to restaurants and minutes away from shopping. We highly recommend this Cottage.

The ocean was beautiful, to be able to sit on your patio and watch the waves was amazing. We can’t wait to come back to this amazing spot.

We have stayed at Brennecke's Beach Cottage many times before and have always enjoyed our stay. The cottage has always been clean at our time of arrival. However, this time we were surprised by the many fun additions that have been made, such as a new, safer staircase with handrails leading to the front door, indoor fans in each room, and a new walk-in shower in the primary bathroom. The cottage is literally located across the street from the ocean. From the front deck, we enjoyed many meals and sometimes watched the turtles swimming in the sea. The cottage has a nice jacuzzi and BBQ. If you really want to feel the essence of Kauai, this is where you want to stay!

What an incredibly peaceful home, situated right on the water! Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This home is a gem, having such a special spot to call home really made all the difference for our time in Kauai! We were steps from the beach and enjoyed walking to Poipu to check on sea turtles nightly and sitting on the porch at every opportunity to enjoy the sounds & sights of the ocean. We appreciate the hospitality and memories!

Really loved this spot. Good for a family of 4 kids are 8,10. Well appointed in terms of all the amenities.owner was easy. Decor was a little dated but not in a bad way, just not a modern spot if that’s more your thing. Clean and comfortable so no complaints!

This was one of the best rentals we have ever stayed. We brought our 10 month old, as well as 84 year old grandma and had all the amenities we could ever imagine, pack n play, two large play yards which were wonderful for the little one while we were out on the lanais

From the booking through the stay, the host and cottage were fantastic. We felt very much at home in the cottage, which was cozy, but had plenty of space for us to have our own time. Sunrise and sunset are stunning from the front porch. We had everything we needed to make and enjoy great meals. And the host went out of his way to provide us with a football and board games, which we made good use of. The location is also great. If you want to check out the island, it's relatively centrally located from the southern, western, and northern towns. We would absolutely stay here again! Mahalo for a great vaca!

This is a cute house located directly across from the ocean. It's steps away from Brenneckes Restaurant. The house has all the amenities you'll need, including essential beach equipment; umbrella, chairs, and cooler, etc. There is a new jacuzzi on the deck as well as new furniture and BBQ. We had all our meals on the front deck enjoying the ocean and in the evening watching the locals boogie board. And if you want to swim in a pool, the rental gives you access to Kiahuna Swim & Tennis club. The club has a full restaurant and bar on site. We totally recommend this house! We are impressed with it we we have their multiple times. You will love this gem.

This house had everything that you needed and an amazing view. We would definitely love to use this property again.

We have stayed at this property several times over the last 10 years. Our children are a lot older now and we love it just as much. It feels like home. The beach is literally steps away and sitting on the lanai in morning, watching the surf and the turtles with our coffee, bacon, eggs, and sugar loaf pineapple is a dream. Relaxing there at night listing to the waves is so healing. Further, Bob and Davina were very accommodating when our flight was cancelled. Mahalo

1) Absolutely perfect location. So close to the beach. 2) Perfect place to watch the sea turtles and sunset. 3) Cozy cottage with great kitchen and comfortable beds 4) could use a little updating in the bathrooms, especially master bath and a little musty in the bedrooms as well, likely from the AC units. Overall would still recommend!

In my opinion, the Brennecke Beach Cottage is the best house on the island. There may be bigger houses, or fancier houses, but to us this house is our home away from home. We all count the days until we can return. My husband and son love body surfing and they have the perfect spot 30 feet away. My daughter and I enjoy shopping while they are in the water. This trip we also enjoyed great hikes (Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail: Shipwreck Beach to Punahoa), a helicopter tour (Airborne Aviation doors off tour), dinner at The Beach House, a tour at Allerton Gardens (named by National Geographic as 1 of 50 places to see in a lifetime), a Kayak tour (Kayak Kauai - Wailua river to Sacred Falls) and massages at Spa Koloa Landing. Even with all of that, there was still so much we didn't get done. We are starting a list for next year. Plus, when the swell dies down, more experienced snorkelers can snorkel right out front to see the turtles. For beginners you can head to Poipu for a protected beach. For the non-snorkelers you can see the turtles basking on the sand at Poipu beach in the evenings and early mornings. Just be mindful to keep a minimum of 10 feet away. The house itself is comfy and well fitted with everything you could need. The host is accessible and responsive if the need arises. I could go on and on about this spot. You will not regret staying here!

Beautiful view of the ocean right there at your fingertips. We enjoyed every morning and enjoying ou coffee watching the dolphins play right in front of us. We can’t wait to come back. It’s absolutely gorgeous views. The inside of the house was lovely great appliances, air-conditioning for a comfort for sleeping. Some nights were hot with windows open. The outdoor barbecue was great. The hot tub was awesome. Honestly, The property came with beach chairs, a wagon toys for the kiddos sand buckets and shovels. It was perfect. Everything we needed for our special needs son. I can’t say enough say enough this place. In addition, the athletic club was awesome with a really nice pool. The gym was incredible and it was nice to have the restaurant there to grab some lunch. Great location loved everything about it. The owner of the property was amazing, just a wonderful experience in Paradise. We can’t wait to return.

We had another wonderful and restful stay at this little cottage by the sea! The view of the ocean can’t be beat! We watched a pod of dolphins frolicking out front for several minutes one morning and another day saw several turtles playing in the waves just offshore. Book it if you can!

Location, 11/10. Property in great condition. Both bedrooms had Mini-split AC, but temp was so nice, never used them. They pushed together 2 beds to make a queen size for the smaller room and we chose that one as with window open could hear the waves all night. So nice! The downside: not this properies problem, but the roosters think 3AM is sunrise and start crowing. Again, not this properies problem as there are chickens EVERYWHERE on the island. Didn't hate them enough to close window to silence them, but they don't help with the jet lag.

The Brenneckes Beach cottage was the most relaxing perfect place for our family of 4. The location first off is perfect. The lanai has a wonderful spot to sit and have your morning coffee, your evening wine, or even to play some family games. We saw so many sea creatures right from the deck. Whales, dolphins, monk seals, and sea turtles….It is literally across the street from the best body surfing beach and within a short walk to the best sea turtle beach. We saw 30 sea turtles on the beach one evening. There are even some great places to have a drink or go out to eat close by if you don’t feel like cooking. The inside was very clean, nicely decorated with a beach cottage vibe and fully stocked with anything you would need. The beds and living room furniture were very comfortable. In addition to a wonderful and clean hot tub and lounge chairs for the lawn there was a wagon, nice beach chairs, some boogie boards, snorkels, sand toys, and even some yard games. The owner was quick to respond and their long time house cleaner super helpful. It even included a pass to a local workout club with a pool, courts, equipment and a restaurant that was worth checking out. I never like to visit a place more than once but we are already looking at dates we could come back! Definitely worth the money and enjoyable for the whole family.

My wife and I along with our two daughters (10 and 15) enjoyed every minute of our stay at the beachfront cottage. Morning coffee on the lanai while watching the sea turtles and early evening jacuzzi’s while watching the sunset are some of our favorite memories. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect place to spend a week enjoying Poipu and the surrounding area. House is very nice for a family of four. Has everything you need to relax and enjoy the nearby beaches.

Perfect location!

My family of four had an awesome time here! We saw spinner dolphins from the lanai and the boogie boarding at Brennecke’s was great. Kids loved playing on the large lawn. Beds and sofas were comfortable and everything was as pictured. We made use of the snorkeling gear and boogie boards provided and relaxed in the hot tub afterwards! Hope to be back someday!
