The view is spectacular! The place is spacious and comfortable. Don't let the icky elevator fool you (it's smelly and damp). Although we could never get in the front door on the first try with our code everything else worked. We did go buy some softer toilet paper though LOL. Great place to relax and watch the surfers and sunsets.

Driving to Kona was quick. The property was clean and well stocked with beach and snorkel equipment. The unobstructed view from the lanai was simply beautiful. Exactly as pictured.

The condo was comfortable and well-furnished. We had a party of five adults, and everyone had a place to sleep. Jennifer was very kind and arranged for an airbed for our last-minute family member; the airbed was double-height with a built-in electric pump and very comfortable. The ocean is right outside the lanai; it was fascinating to watch the surfers. We stayed during February, which is winter in Hawaii just as it is on the mainland, so surf was too rough for the casual swimmer; the view was spectacular, though. One note: if you have 6 ft tall-plus members of your party, the facilities were great to accommodate their height - no having to crouch under shower heads. Lots of fun beach accessories in the condo, like boogie boards and snorkels; the kitchen appliances were clean and in perfect working order; the washer-dryer combo was easy to work and did a great job on our laundry.Five stars! Would stay again!

This property was wonderful for our family of four! Aside from the amazing, breathtaking views that are even more stunning than the photos, the property is just off the beaten path. Away from the hustle and bustle of the major hotels and restaurants but, close enough to enjoy everything. The property is quiet and casual which fit our family’s needs for this special vacation. We even had friends visit us and they preferred this property over their own resort. The host was great also, friendly, communicative and even took the time to show us that there was a pack and play crib already there. They also fixed the WiFi mid visit! We had an amazing time and we didn’t want to leave. Thank you for sharing your place with us.

The place was perfect. I have stayed at many VRBO's. This one was one of the top for being well stocked. From beach towels, chairs, snorkel gear to kitchen necessities. Did I mention the view never gets boring!?

Our family very much enjoyed our stay. Gorgeous view of the black lava rock shore, of the ocean, and sunsets. The sounds of the beating waves were relaxing, as was watching the surfers from sunrise to sunset. You can occasionally see brightly colored fish in the waves. Peaking over the sea wall and seeing loads of crabs run about was fun too. We didn't need a TV, we could just watch the action from the windows. Great location near great beaches and restaurants. Easy drive to sites around the island. I really appreciated that the condo came fully loaded with necessities including shampoo, TP, paper towels, laundry detergent etc. It was nice not to need to purchase those. I also really loved the clothes washer/dryer combo. I did not know that there was such a machine that can both wash and dry clothes. Loved it!

The view was amazing. There are surfers out there every morning. We spent hours just watching them. We were able to see turtles coming in to shore several times. The condo is very well stocked with all of the necessities plus any beach gear you could possibly want. The king bed was very comfortable also. We ordered take out every night and brought it back to eat on the balcony so we could watch the sunset. The location was about 10 to 15 minutes drive from the restaurants and stores, but far enough away from the busy areas. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a lovely stay at the Banyans. The property was exactly as listed and well-equipped for trips to the beach. Excellent location for the entire Kona coast and the sunsets and steady symphony of waves were delightful. Easy communication to top it all off. Recommended!

The view does not disappoint with the water so close and the waves crashing over the rocks making the most amazing experience. I also had amazing pictures from sunsets and sunrises each and every day . We saw fish each day, as well as rock crabs, and even turtles one night - all from the Lanai! The location is close to town and you're right off the main road. You'd think you'd hear road noise but you don't for 99% of the cars. The kitchen was well stocked and people seem to leave most items behind to share it forward. People also leave behind sunscreen as there were a few different bottles in the cabinet. My reason for 4 stars instead of five is because under their guest beds were extremely dirty, the master bathroom seat cover was hanging by a thread and ultimately broke, and there was a small pee smell around our master toilet and a sewer smell at times that wafted in our room from outside. We ran the bathroom fan almost 24/7 in the master bath which seemed to work to keep the smell out and kept our front door closed. I would have liked more bathroom towels and an extra kitchen towel but nothing we couldn't live without by any means. I'm just writing the nitpicky stuff in hopes that the owners get their cleaners dialed in a little more for under the beds and around the toilet bases. Honestly, all the rest of the pro's out weighed the cons!

To peer outside this condo and hear the waves crash is hypnotic. You can’t get any closer to the shore as you sit on the lanai and drink your morning coffee or your evening cocktail. The lanai is a bit tight but we could sit as a family of 4 and enjoy dinner. The condo is a perfect size for 2 weeks. The kitchen is well stocked and there are plenty of beach equipment available. My kids loved that they had full beds in the second bedroom. Beds were very comfy. We had a small electrical hiccup upon arrival but Jennifer was transparent and diligent. It was fixed by Monday, with no problems the remainder of our trip. The pool area is basic, wish we had 2 pool keys so individual family members could go back and forth. Loved watching the surfers and glancing out for whales!! Perfect location to drive to Kona Proper, short drive to and from the airport, and harbor. We would rent the unit again.

Unit is well situated about 1 mile south of downtown Kona. The unit is well furnished and appointed with anything you might need. The surfers directly outside your windows provide unending entertainment. Parking in Kona is outrageously expensive, about $20 / hr. Most restaurants in the Coconut Grove complex provide complimentary parking. Call wherever you are going to inquire if they offer parking.

Overlooking a rugged beach. Great surfers just out our lanai. Best beach and snorkeling equipment ever offered. Comfortable beds. Only complaint was with the barbecues. They never worked well. The condo association really needs to invest in brand new barbecues.
