Updated Kauhale Makai unit 610 1 bedroom top floor, king bed, AC

It was a great location off Kihei absolutely loved the view from 6th floor, easy parking, clean facility and the room itself was HUGE! The balcony going across both rooms was a bonus. Also, bonus board, chairs, towels, different coffee makers and the tupperwear for example. Some zipper plastic bags and Lysol/equivalent cleaner would have been helpful— i bought and left the clorox spray. Also, I was somewhat dismayed that there was a park before the beach, it was advertised ON the beach- that I would mean I walk onto the beach from the parking lot. I won't dock it a star for that but only because the beach was only 5 mins away. But if my older mom or esp Grandma has come, we would have had to drive which is what we were trying to avoid with this place. Overall thank you for the clean gorgeous place !!! Aloha!

Condo has everything you need! Even had a cooler, 2 beach chairs, ice pack, 4 beach towels.Loved being on the top floor. Super quiet building and private beach. We saw lots of whales from our room. Plenty of free parking.Nothing in walking distance, but plenty of food and groceries with in a 4-5 min drive. The room does not have a washer and drier, but there’s a small laundry room that is super easy to use on each floor. 2.50 for the washer and 1.50 for the drier. Pool and hot tub area is great. Never got crowded.Would absolutely stay again. We drove about 10 min down to rent kayaks and go whale watching. Kihei is a nice area with everything you need and central to all sightseeing. Room was comfortable, updated and nicely decorated.Bed was fine. Not horrible, nothing fancy. My only complaints (which are minor):A few more blankets would be niceA cookie sheet (we bought a frozen pizza for dinner) Few more bath towels (we had 4 for 9 days, 2 people. I had to wash them half way through the trip)Pool code in the email was December’s code. We never got the January code but luckily people let us in.

The hosts were very friendly and responsive, and all the instructions were clear and easy to follow, which we really appreciated.The overall stay was pleasant. But there was a minor issue: despite being informed that regular pest control is conducted, we did notice some small roaches.That said, communication was excellent, and the hosts were very helpful throughout our stay.

The property is well appointed and as advertised. Host provides everything needed. Great location, perfect view of ocean, safe and quiet. The Island is small so this is a nice location for beach and resturants but the mountain hikes are easily reached. Grocery nearby walmart about 20 mins 20 mins away anmminutes

A great property with amazing views and easy access to the beach. The perfect location for us, as it was close enough to several shopping and restaurant hubs, but also private enough where we never felt overcrowded. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to family and friends!

Great property. We could see whales from the lanai. Perfect set up. Great location. Walked the beach, saw a humongous turtle sleeping on the beach, sat in hot tub, swam in the pool, ate in town at Diamonds, great food! We would love to stay again.

We spent 8 lovely nights in this well appointed condo. It was perfectly situated to watch the whales and also to walk to the park for some pickleball. We walked the Long Beach and even snorkeled on the calm bay. Everything was as shown on the description- no issues, just a great vacation.

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Maui. We live on a different island and this was the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway that still feels like home. It has a beautiful view to enjoy coffee or wide down a the end of the day. Very pleased with the amenities included just incase you forget something! Overall, great stay for a great price!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. The condo is centrally located, well stocked with necessities plus extras, and nicely decorated with new updates. We loved the beautiful view, and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony.

The Kauhale Makai condo was absolutely perfect. It is beautifully remodeled, peacefully decorated, and very comfortable, with a view of the ocean from every room. Check in and out was very easy, and communicating with Joe was easy as well and he was very responsive. The location is perfect, with easy access to every area of the island! Parking was plentiful and accessible. We also really appreciated the provision of beach towels, chairs and everything else you could need to enjoy a day at the beach!

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and we stayed for a week. We enjoyed this place so much - waking up to the view of the ocean and beautiful Maui was something that never got old. The hosts are very responsive and accommodating. The kitchen comes in handy for times when you need a break from eating out. The place was clean, comfortable, and was close to many of the activities we wanted to do, including the Maui aquarium and the Ma'alea Harbor which is where we went for a lot of the water activities and boat rides. The shops at Wailea are a short drive away. We also made the beautiful drive out to Kaanapali and didn't feel like we missed out on anything. Everything you want to do in Maui is convenient and accessible from this Condo's location. There are lots of restaurant options and a nearby Safeway which is open 24 hours a day. The condo community also has a swimming pool and a hot tub (very nice) and outdoor grills which we saw people using every day. Book this place and you won't regret it!

This little condo was perfect for our family of 4. Wonderful views of the beach and the west Maui mountains. Great pool. Easy walk to the beach. Very clean and well stocked. Joe was very responsive to messages.

Our stay surpassed all expectations. Ocean views from our large balcony made our stay all the more incredible. The mattress in our bedroom was incredibly comfortable, the linens were plentiful, and the kitchen was fully stocked. The condo was spotless. We especially enjoyed our morning coffee and evening dinners on the balcony. The furniture throughout the condo was thoughtfully chosen, and the central air kept us so comfortable that we almost forgot it was summer. Our host was attentive, responsive, and accommodating. We can’t wait to enjoy this home again.

Another reservation fell through at the last minute and we were so happy to book this unit only a couple days before traveling. Everything is as advertised here. Amazing view. Quiet on the top floor. Central location so not too far to anything. Everything you need provided. I'll add a few things that weren't mentioned in the description: There is both a hard sided cooler and a soft sided cooler bag for any beach day or other outings. There is a boogie-board for fun in the waves. Internet speed while we were were was over 200mbps and more than enough for streaming or any work you need to get done. Would stay again 100%

This was a a great place to stay! The condo was very clean and decorated super cute. The view from the balcony is amazing (great for sunsets!) and the beach is right out front. We were able to see sea turtles napping on the beach too! Parking was easy and available, with shopping and restaurants near by. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again! Thank you!!

We had the best time staying in this condo! We woke up to beautiful views every morning and watched the sunset on our private beach as much as we could! The condo is in the perfect location to explore as much of Maui as you want. Listing and pictures were exactly how we found it. We would definitely stay here again!

Watching the whale play off shore from our lanai on our first morning while sipping coffee was magical and set the tone for the trip. This condo was clean and updated and was a great spot. We did travel to Lahaina regularly for dinner just because they had better beachfront dining options, but otherwise, we loved this place. Morning walks on the beach. Easy access up and down the west coast. Joe was great to work with and was a great communicator.

Been to Kihei 6 years in a row now. Love it here. This was the nicest 1 bedroom we’ve had. Thank you owners for sharing.

We loved out stay at this property! The bed was very comfortable. Plenty of TP for our week stay 😊. Host was very responsive to questions. We frequently vacation in Maui and would definitely enjoy staying here again!

We have often stayed in Wailea at the Ho’Olei so our expectations were very high. Don’t get me wrong, this is not a huge condo in a new complex but the setup was great, view spectacular and location awesome as it was out of town enough but quick access to Kihei, Wailea or even the other side of the island. A special treat was seeing the turtles that sleep on the rocks right on the beach a 5 minute walk. There were a few minor details that we noticed needed looked at and Joe was responsive and quick to address. We would absolutely be looking to go back to this rental as we had a great experience. We have been to Maui over a dozen times staying all over the island. This one was for sure a keeper. Thank you.

Wonderful condo for our 8 day stay. Exactly as described. Centrally located. Watch whales from the bedroom and living room. Direct beach access. Three grocery stores within minutes. Comfortable bed and other furnishings. Spotless and we'll maintained. My wife wanted to stay another week. It was our first time to Maui and would go back here in a heartbeat 💓

Responsive host if you have questions. On the beach (with all you need for a day at the beach provided ie. Cooler, chairs, towels, boogie board) Close to restaurants. Would definitely stay again if in Maui!

We stayed at this unit from Dec 22-25. We were very happy during our stay. They have thought of every small things a visitor needs for their stay. We did not have to be worried about anything. This place is near to Costco, Walmart and many other eateries too. I would recommend this unit for stay.

Condo was exactly as owner described. Felt like a home not a rental property. Incredible views, comfortable bed, great furniture and well appointed kitchen. Bath towels were like you would have in your own home, not those usually found in rentals. We rented because it was on the top floor and looked great. It was so private we never saw or heard anyone from other units around us and it was a busy week. Slept with sliding doors open and ceiling fans on listening to the ocean. Beach bag, chairs, umbrella and beach towels all provided which was very convenient. Joe was easy to reach and very responsive. We are already planning to return.
