D35 Kona Reef - True Oceanfront & Top Floor! AC throughout!

The location was outstanding! The condo was well appointed with everything need for a great vacation. Since we prefer eating in rather than going out, the kitchen had everything we needed plus more. I really appreciated having a washer and dryer in the unit. We loved the place so much, we've already booked for next year. Thank you!

Great clear instructions. Esp loved the keyless code entry. Well supplied. Clean. Marvelous view. Very quiet in top floor besides ocean! FYI couldn’t find top sheet to pull out or pillow cases. Booked for next year!

Clean and convenient

We loved everything about this waterfront condo! It was fully stocked with everything we needed! The view was incredible! It’s walkable to many great shops and restaurants. Our hosts were very easy to communicate with and we were so grateful how they opened up their home for us. We would love to come back!

Very clean. They had pool and beach accessories which was a plus. The view is stunning, with no road noise and you can walk to good restaurants.

This condo is in a great location, walking distance to town and dining. The view is spectacular and the lanai is spacious with a fantastic views the ocean. Would love to stay here again!

Excellent location, beautiful condo, equipped with beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers. Fabulous lanai to have coffee in am and overlook ocean in pm. Stunning - I could have sat and watched the waves break on the ocean rocks all day. Highly recommend!

Just perfect! The space was quiet, clean, and very well appointed with a fully stocked kitchen and beach gear. The bed was so comfortable! We loved sitting on the lanai to watch the sunset and listen to the sounds of waves crashing below. The pool area was never crowded and the grills in the common area were spotless. Parking was easy and the location was convenient.The only issue we had was a problem with a faulty kitchen appliance and it was resolved in less than 24 hours. We were very impressed with the level of responsiveness. The communication ahead of our visit was great too, absolutely no complaints. Highly recommend this location for your next visit to the Kona area!

This place earns a top rating because of its sensational view; cleanliness; furnishings and amenities; superior proximity to shops and dining and owner responsiveness. It has everything we needed and nothing that we didn't need. Everything works, we were comfortable with the sea breeze coming through by day and with the A/C at night. We would definitely stay here again.

The view was amazing, the condo was fully loaded, it was great having a washer and dryer and the bed was so comfortable. My only suggestion is to put a beach recliner on the balcony so people can doze off while enjoying the outstanding view! Thanks so much!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kona Reef. This unit is oceanfront and it can't get better than that. The bed was very comfortable, the unit had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The 2 split AC units were the beat as it would have been too warm for us without it. The unit was in walking distance of local restaurants and shops. The communication was almost immediate, when needed with the owner. We have stayed in many VRBO units and this unit "ticks" all our boxes. We will definitely return here and hopefully soon. Thank you for your hospitality!

We’ve had the pleasure of staying in this condo twice and absolutely loved it both times! The view is simply breathtaking, and there’s nothing better than relaxing on the lanai while watching the stunning sunsets. The condo is comfortable, well-maintained, and fully stocked with everything we need. We can’t wait to come back again!

Our stay was amazing.. the unit is very well stocked, we used the pool side grills, parking was easy, short walk to great restaurants. But the icing on the cake was sitting on the lanai morning & evening watching & listening to the waves crash! I stress over booking places to stay.... would definitely book this again!

We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and while we have stayed at this condo complex several times before, this was our first time in this particular unit. This unit is absolutely our favorite! It was just as advertised, fully furnished, had everything we needed, and was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well-stocked and allowed us to cook meals whenever we wanted. We spent much time on the lanai and enjoyed watching the dolphins, birds, surfers, and boats. We enjoyed great walks into town and visited several local restaurants during our visit. We highly recommend Huggo's & On the Rocks as they are very close by and the food was amazing! The Maitais were delicious! The pool was clean and had ample seating in the sun or the shade. We contacted the host once to make a request, which they graciously accommodated. They were very professional and pleasant to talk to. We will stay in this unit again and highly recommend it to others. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

My husband and I stayed in the condo for four nights during the second leg of our trip to the big island. It was a great size for the two of us and having the balcony was fantastic for morning coffee and evening views as well. Great location that is walkable to town without all the noise and traffic of town!

We loved the ability to walk into the main shopping area of Kailua-Kona. At the same time we had fantastic ocean views. You just can’t beat coffee and breakfast on the lanai in the morning.

My husband and I booked a vacation over spring break for my birthday. We looked at SO MANY rentals and ultimately decided on this one. We absolutely made the right choice! The view of the beach from the lanai is stunning and we began and ended each day sitting outside relaxing. You are in walking distance to several delicious restaurants and the Kona shopping area. We had a rental car and did a lot of exploring of the island. Parking was always easy coming back to the condo. The pool area is also very nice with grills and plenty of space. The condo itself is clean and equipped with everything you might need. I would definitely recommend to friends and family in the future. Did I mention the sunsets??? OMGrelaxing.

The condo was exactly as it stated and had more than we’ve ever seen in spices and dishes and everything you can imagine to cook with. My husband grilled downstairs at the grill every night and we ate out for lunches. We asked to check out a little bit later at 4 o’clock instead of 11 and the host was very very accommodating. We recommend this condo highly and when we come back to Kona, we will definitely stay there.

The property is starting to show its age.

Nothing beats the location of this condo, just a short walk to downtown Kona. Condo was very clean and the check in/out process was extremely easy. Tisha is a very responsive host, I had to reach out to her on Thanksgiving day and she responded within a couple minutes!

We were so amazed at how great their condo was! Everything was excellent and you really felt welcome! Amazing closet full of beach chairs and umbrella and snorkel equipment and everything you needed including towels! Kitchen had everything you could possibly want and need! Clean! But the view!!! Beautiful updated comfortable condo. The view from the lanai was awesome. Walkable to restaurants and shops. Had everything we needed during our stay including beach gear and snorkel equipment. We hope to return soon!

Loved the condo. We've stayed 5 times at the Kona Reef but different units. This unit was awesome. Great views right on the ocean, updated bathroom, double A/C unit with one in the bedroom was game changer. Great communication with the owner. Batteries were going out on the lick, within hours we had someone coming and change the batteries. Very highly recom.end.

This was one of the most beautiful places we have stayed in Kona! Everything about this unit is spectacular, from the moment you walk in and hear the crashing waves right outside the lanai you are transformed to paradise. Parking is super easy, the check-in process was one of the smoothest, and the amenities within the condo are extraordinary. I cannot imagine a better view, or a better location. Perfectly situated to view sunset from you lanai. A/C definitely a plus on this part of the island.

My wife and I were here for a long-awaited second honeymoon. The place was perfect. The hosts communicated very well. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable and gave us freedom to do our own cooking and even laundry as needed. The bed was soft and the living room furniture comfy. The AC was a godsend in the Kona humidity, the shower head was perfect in terms of pressure and the WiFi worked well. The pool area was clean and the pool always seemed to be just a degree or two on the cool side, which I love. Parking was convenient, easy and felt safe. But, the star of the show was the view. The sunset was appointment viewing each night and drew crowds of Kona Reef guests to the rocks that line the shore. The sound of the waves crashing in the morning and evening was amazing and going outside to see the surfers, parasailers, fishing boats and canoes go back and forth was fun. We even saw crabs on the rocks and yellow and black fish in the little cove in front of the complex every morning. The icing on the cake was that the price is competitive or better than resorts we have stayed at on the big island and the room and view was much better. A couple of tips while in the Kona area: Spend a day at Spencer Beach using the beach chairs, umbrella and cooler the hosts put in the closet, have a steak or fish meal at Huggo’s and check out the Big Island in a Day tour from Wasabi Tours.(See if you can ask for Felix as your guide).

Great location, beautiful view, extremely well equipped apartment.

We had great week, staying in Kona for the Queen’s Race. The property is close to town and close to several great restaurants, but far enough away to avoid the crowds and traffic. The condo was clean and comfortable with lots of amenities. The pool area was lovely. We didn’t take advantage of the barbecue area but the grills were large, gas powered and clean. We had a minor concern with the smoke alarm chirping bu Tisha was right on it. Overall, it was a fabulous week!

We really enjoyed our stay at this unit in the Kona Reef Resort. We enjoyed the great ocean view, A/C in the bedroom, and location close to Kona shops. Very nice to listen to the waves, either hanging out on the lanai or fall asleep to that sound at night. The kitchen is well stocked so we were able to cook in the unit and use the community grills. In unit washer/dryer was also nice. Highly recommend this unit.

The unit is as advertised and the other reviews were spot on. We appreciated all the beach gear left in the unit for guests. The bed was very comfortable and the unit simple but very clean and cozy. Tisha answered every question or request within minutes. This was a great home base to comeback to after a day of exploration and beach time. We’ll be back!

We had such a wonderful stay! The condo is clean and comfortable. We found the location to be so convenient to town and we walked there every day. And the VIEW! Breathtaking. We have already started planning our next trip!

What an amazing location and the view from the room was ocean, ocean and more ocean. We walked just about a block and were able to go to all the great restaurants and shops. Everything you could need was in the kitchen. The pool and jacuzzi was a special bonus for watching the sunsets.

Right on the ocean and close to town. Coffee pot quite working and the day it was replaced. Everything for the beach is there, We would stay there again.

The location of this Vrbo was absolutely perfect. Close enough we could walk around to shop on Ali’i drive. And it was amazing to be right on the ocean front. I got so many cool shells just by walking to the backyard! The place was clean, smelled great, and the AC was amazing! Thank you for an amazing place to stay!

The condo was as advertised, with a beach overlook, well-equipped with kitchen equipment (we cooked a lot so this was a big plus), and a nice selection of beach gear including chairs and towels. There was even some food in the pantry especially spices and condiments so we did not have to buy all those things ourselves. Convenient parking too. I would definitely come here again.

This was the perfect location to see the island. We went up north we went down south. It was just a super place.

The condo and resort was everything we were expecting and more! We would definitely stay here again! The view was nothing short of amazing and the condo was so comfortable. Coffee out on the lanai every morning was so relaxing. And speaking of coffee, the Keurig coffee maker was so appreciated! Thank you Tisha! This was a wonderful vacation and place to stay! So close to town and loved walking to the shops and restaurants. The closet full of beach stuff was an added bonus. The pool and resort grounds were beautiful. Communication with the owner was first class and their fully updated condo made our stay very special. We have stayed at this complex a number of times in a number of different condos and I would not hesitate to stay here again. As far as location goes this is as good as it gets for easy walking distance to everything Kona has to offer. Being directly on the ocean offers one of the best spots within this complex. Also the unit is very well stocked with supplies.

We had an amazing time at the Kona Reef in our ocean front unit. The views were spectacular! We enjoyed the sunset everyday from our lanai as well as watching for dolphins and whales. The unit was well decorated and stocked We especially liked the closet full of beach necessities such as chairs, cooler and umbrellas. The pool and BBQ area was wonderful and we hope to one day return and rent this beautiful unit again.

2 1/2 weeks spent in paradise! This condo is in a wonderful location, the communication with the owner and host was great and the view from the lanai was simply amazing. The bed was super comfortable, and sleeping to the sound of the surf was incredible. Pretty much everything we needed to 'live' here for a couple weeks was provided. We loved the spaciousness of the condo with no clutter. We spent most of our time on the lanai, enjoying the ever-changing surf and witnessing a beautiful sunset every night. We totally recommend this condo and we would love to come back some day. :)

Couldn't have been better.

This is a fabulous unit. Really one of the best at Kona Reef (where we are also owners). The only critique I have is that the fold out bed was uncomfortable and not made up with sheets, etc.
