Huge Ocean Views! Direct Ocean Front Condo Sugar Beach Resort #527

Everything was excellent! The complex is nice with a great pool and hot tub. A wonderful view of the beach from our balcony where we could spot whales. You can walk a long way down the beach from the complex. It is nice having the beach chairs, umbrella, coolers as well. We had everything we needed. The restaurant at the complex was good as well.

Had a wonderful time! The condo was beautiful with all new kitchen and flooring. Owner was pleasant to deal with as well as Jennifer and Shane. We will return next year.

This host has thought of everything! We enjoyed our stay and loved sitting in the lanai overlooking the ocean! Would definitely stay again.

We would highly recommend Sugar Beach Resort. We had everything we needed for our stay. Including a beach bag and coolers. We will definitely be staying here again when we return.

Great unit. We stayed for my wife’s surprise birthday trip. It was a great unit and we really enjoyed it. We have stayed at the location before in a different unit and we love this place overall.The listing said “top floor” but technically the “penthouse” is above this floor. There were people above us but the floors are not loud so it’s not a big deal. We would absolutely come back and WILL definitely come back to the complex in the future. I will add the view from this unit is absolutely stunning!!

Great area and condo was as promised with gorgeous views. Would definitely stay here again. Everything you need was available in the condo, including chairs, coolers and beach equipment and full kitchen.

We had the pleasure of staying for a week as part of our 40th anniversary celebration. The unit and grounds were clean and well kept and the unit was well supplied with everything we needed. We highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed our week at this property. The unit is in a great location, and the amenities were fantastic. We had waves breaking just out and down from our lanai, with amazing views of the water, sky, and islands. Parking was easy. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves. The beach right outside of our unit was a little rocky, but walking less than two minutes in either direction, the swimming was awesome. Sugar Beach is beautiful, and great for long walks (or a short walk to the farmer’s market, bakery, and Ululani’s amazing shave ice!). The only two bumps in the road were:We checked in after midnight. The instructions were very helpful, but had one big omission: there are two buildings. The odd number rooms are in the North building; even in the south building.Also, there’s a lot of wind noise in the unit at night. One of us would prefer having an adult-only hot tub. There were a lot of kids in there, some under the age limit. All in all, we had a great vacation, and enjoyed where we stayed. Good value and great memories.

Awesome one bedroom condo facing ocean. Don’t see any other structures, just the ocean! It wa. Y far thee best condo we’ve had at sugar beach. Very nice facility right on a Long Beach. Walked each direction every day! And the community pool is close by, free lap swimming! Highly recommend!

My husband and 7 month old baby stayed here for a week. Great communication with the host! Beautiful view of the ocean - saw a baby and mama humpback whale from the lanai! Very family friendly condo - our baby loved swimming in the condo complex pool and there was a nice lawn to play on. Dina’s Sandwitch was a great option for food right at the condo complex. We also utilized the outdoor grills quite often. Farmers market, bake shop, and shave ice shop only a short walk down the beach!

Right on the beach! Loved having morning coffee and evening nightcap on the balcony, listening to the waves! Pool is perfect. Sand Witch bar was so much fun!

Just a great location to sit back and relax. The place is not fancy, not a five star hotel, but the view was stunning! Also, everything you need was provided by the host and the host was so responsive. We had two minor issues and both were address very quickly. The beach was great, the facilities (pool, sauna, hot tub, barbecue station) were all perfect. We will be back again!

Our stay was fantastic and beyond beautiful! The condo is situated ON THE WATER - it’s crazy how gorgeous the view is and we could sit out on the lanai and see the most spectacular sunset with the sugar-sand beach and water as far as you can see. The place had everything we needed, including all the beach & snorkeling gear, so we didn’t have to rent anything! Great little bar/restaurant right there at the complex. We whale-watched with Pacific Whale Foundation (saw lots of whales!), ate delicious lunch and toured the aquarium - all within 10 min. drive. We will come back!

The condo was clean and just as pictured. Host communication was great. Can’t beat the location.

Great property. Only hitch was the check-in process because the Vrbo web site was down. After contacting the host directly, she was above and beyond.

We had a wonderful time….walking on the beach can’t be beat. Beautiful view from lanai. Furnishings somewhat outdated but overall we loved our stay. Mahalo.

The door of the refrigerator was filthy on the outside and the patio table had not been washed in some time as it was very dirty. The mirror wall had a large crack by the dining table and the mirrors themselves were smeared and very dusty. The bed was good.

Condo was nice, but the Building needs basic renovation, paint, fixtures, etc.

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and had a fantastic stay. The condo complex had a very family friendly and easy-going atmosphere that was very relaxing. We loved that basically everything that we wanted to wasn’t more than half an hour away. The views were spectacular; our final sunset on the lanai was incredibly memorable. We appreaciated that the condo was well stocked with extra towels, beach items, cooking ware, and dishes. Very highly recommended and would stay there again!

3rd time staying at Sugar Beach Resort. The property is dated but location is perfect for us with literally miles of continuous beach. Some of the dishes weren’t very clean and they could make an area to access luggage etc but these are minor things to improve.view

We were impacted by the travel delays due to the tech outage and Loren was incredibly compassionate and kind while we were trying to sort out our flight home. Communication was prompt and helpful each time we needed to ask a question, even just about the door code or check in. In addition, the condo was clean, excellently located, and stocked with all the amenities we could have possibly needed for beach days or longe days. The view from the balcony was lovely and there was even a small supply of books and such to keep occupied. Checkout requests were also very reasonable. I would absolutely recommend this property and particularly this host if you’re staying in Maui, our trip was better and less stressful that it could have been largely due to Loren’s prompt communication and excellent hosting! 10/10 would recommend!

We spent a couple days at sugar beach because of the location on the beach, views and access to the pool and hot tub. The condo was great with everything we needed in the kitchen and coffee/drinks on the lanai were perfect. Our host answered our questions quickly and positively. We highly recommend this condo and we will be back.

Nice location, nice property

My husband and I had a lovely time on our first time trip to the Hawaii Islands. This unit provided a well deserved rest as it was quiet and relaxed. We snorkeled, went to a Luau, and discovered the island by just driving around. I recommend finding public beaches in the southern Kihei area, they are excellent, clean, and easy to swim.

We love the location of this condo. It is so easy to get to all parts of the island from here. The condo is very nice and the view is sublime. Everything you could need is stocked in the condo. This is the second time we've stayed in this complex. It has a nice pool and jacuzzi and an onsite bar/sandwich shop. It's a great place to stay!

We had a wonderful week at the Sugar Beach Resort. We had been to Maui many times and stayed in different parts of the island, and we love the centrality of North Kihei. The resort is an easy drive from Kahului and less than an hour to Kapalua, Haleakala, and La Perouse Bay. The beautiful, 4-mile Sugar Beach borders the property and made for perfect morning walks. The unit had everything we needed, from folding chairs and an umbrella to a full set of appliances, all in great condition. Even parking was a snap. The pool and barbecue were very nice and there were plenty of options for relaxing on the beach, the grass, or poolside. We never had to hunt for chaises or wait for a grill and the people we met were very friendly. We loved the entire week and will be back.

Location location location. Another perfect stay at Sugar beach. The ocean views and hearing the crashing waves from the lanai, cant be beat. Beautiful walks on the beach, right in front of the condo never get old. This area is perfect to stay, no matter where you’re headed on Maui, it won’t take long from here. Had a great time. Quiet, well-located property with everything need for an enjoyable stay.

The condo lived up to its listing. The direct ocean view from the unit and lanai provided ample opportunities to view sunsets and migrating whales. The unit itself has all of the amenities of home. On top of that, the pool and BBQ area on the resort complex were great for when we were done with the beach and wanted to cook in.

Perfect condo to enjoy the North Kihei vibe. Sugar beach is becoming our new favorite spot. Listen to the waves as you relax on the lanai. And you are a short drive to shops and restaurants.

Couldn’t be a better location, both the condo in the complex and the complex on the island. Centrally located to everything. Complex is older, but well-maintained.
