Nice Ocean View 1bed room, full kitchen, near Waikiki Beach! Rooftop pool&BBQ.

Loved having two air conditioners.

You know, I liked the Pacific Monarch quite a bit. The room was clean and bright with tall windows facing both the beach and to the side. Everything was clean and neat and I used a couple of K-cups in the kitchen. We mostly ate out but used the small dining room set a couple of times.We used the hot tub on the roof a couple of times as well as the pool. Plus, it was an easy two-block walk to Waikiki Beach.The only knock I have is check-in and the parking situation. The sign for Pacific Monarch is past the garage so I drove by the garage entrance while trying to figure out where to go. Once directed, we had to go around the block to the garage and only then did I see the "guest parking" spots. OK, fine, that's a one-time thing. But then every time you want to enter the parking garage, you have to get out of the car and ask the front desk to open the gate. There doesn't appear to be a sensor or camera to notify them; you have to leave your car and ask. We started taking taxis because we didn't want to deal with the parking gate and Oahu traffic.One suggestion I would make to the Host is to add a small shoe rack, or shoe mat, plus a small bench to sit and take off your shoes right inside the door.Otherwise, we were very happy with this VRBO and would rent there again. Building wise, it is a very convenient location, easy to walk to lots of places including the beach. The rooftop pool/hot tub/cornhole area was really nice, too. The elevators are extremely slow in the building though there are signs posted that they are working on upgrading them. Parking onsite is expensive and the parking garage in the building is a tight space, so best to get a smaller sized vehicle.The unit itself is on the 13th floor and has beautiful views. The photos of the unit make it appear more spacious than it feels and the kitchen area is very small. The dining chairs felt and sounded very unstable, like they might break while we were sitting in them. The shower area is in need of caulking/repair and we could not figure out how to make the tub fill, so our kids took showers instead of baths.There were lots of pool/beach items provided in the unit that were useful - towels, snorkeling gear, chairs, boogie boards, etc. The owners of the unit also own a restaurant a block away, so they are available and local.

Amazing view. Easy access to beach. The Pacific Monarch is a well-run and high quality building. Mayu was easy to contact and very responsive. The rooftop amenities are very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. (Thank you for the welcome treats).

Hist was great! We had some trouble checking in and shexm was on the spot available to ensure everything was taken care of.

It's a fantastic place, the room and everything was very clean. My children enjoyed their stay and we didn't need to rent or buy any beach accessories; towels, chairs, toys, and children's surfboards were all available for us. Unfortunately, I couldn't use the safe because we found it locked. The parking is a bit small but not included in the rental price and needs to be paid for separately. The pool is excellent with beautiful views of the city and the beach. The only problem is that both grills don't work properly and they are missing parts that definitely need to be upgraded or replaced. We will definitely return there on our next trip.

Our family of four very much enjoyed our stay in the condo worked out perfectly for us. The location was perfect being so close to the beach, several wonderful food trucks, shave, ice, locations, and restaurants. The amenities were fantastic with the outdoor pool that gets plenty of sun during the day and looks amazing at night with an incredible view of the sunset and ocean. The hot tub, barbecue grills, cornhole, lounge area, and pool table with such a great view of the mountains and ocean were amazing. The condo was perfectly clean and the beach towels and equipment was so helpful to not have to pack or rent much. Our adult kids did not complain at all about the pull out sofa bed. The bedroom was also comfortable and had a separate AC unit and patio door to a small balcony which was nice because several other units we have stayed in did not. The only items that we would have appreciated or that would be helpful if we stayed again would be basic spices in the kitchen and an ice bucket with a lid. Important: It is important that you do not rent an SUV like a Tahoe or Suburban because it will not fit in the parking garage due to height and it is very hard to find parking elsewhere. The minivan and standard SUV fit fine.

Nice clean place, excellent location. Needs new mattress! Lumpy, hard, made me sore. All small, flat pillows. Need choices of bigger fluffier pillows to give more support. Clean, had most everything we needed, good ocean view, close walk to ocean, lots of restaurants, shopping, music close by. Panorama view from roof and nice pool. Food across the street very good. I would stay here again

Had a great stay! Nice ocean view of Waikiki beach with plenty of space for a family of 3. Rooftop pool and spa was a nice break with great views. Very close to the action and restaurants, with great food trucks within a block. Parking on site. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I along with an 18 y/o stayed in this unit for 1 week. Brother in laws family of 5 were in another unit but we were able to gather in ours for dining and watching movies together. Loved the ocean view which would be seen from the main living /dining / kitchen area and also from the bedroom. Kitchen had everything we needed. Made use of the provided beach chair, towels, umbrella boogie board and inflatable floats. Loved that laundry soap was provided as we used the downstairs laundry facility twice during the week. Location is 2 blocks from the beach and there are many dining options close by.

Perfect size. Super close to the beach - less than 2 minutes. ABC store 1 minute away. Good size fridge. Very comfy couch bed with extra foam bed.Loved the beach towels boogie board and beach chairs!!!

The view is beautiful! Great location. Mayu (the host) was extremely responsive and prompt with all issues. Room was not cleaned as well as I expected, but it was a great stay for the price.

The rental was excellent. The hotel the condo was in was just alright.

We had a very pleasant stay. The location is incredible, so close to the beach. The owner is very easy to reach and replies fast. The apartment is not recent but it is well maintained and clean. The building is secure with access through keycards. Very friendly front desk staff.

Amazing view and close to the beach. Host was easy to contact when we had a small issue with check in. Wish the pool would’ve been opened as expected when booked but otherwise a great stay and would definitely stay again.

First Class

Loved our 10 day stay! Can’t beat the central Waikiki location and the view and light that floods this corner unit is beautiful. Kitchen is very small, closer to a kitchenette, balcony is narrow and the unit obviously gets lots of use. It’s well cared for though and everything worked. Garage was easy to navigate, shower was great, as was the bed (firm). Sofa needs replacing but was ok. Really appreciated the boogie boards, chairs and umbrellas! Front desk staff were helpful and laundry area worked well too. Rooftop patio was under construction so the pool was closed, but the bbq/hot tub area was open and absolutely beautiful. My husband loved the sauna too. Thanks for a great stay!

The unit was as advertised, very clean and well equipped. The few minor issues were dealt with by the owner very quickly.

Perfect location with an amazing view! 5 mins walk from Waikiki Beach and right next to coolest street Uluniu Avenue with Moku surf, Shorefyre bar & grill, Maguro Spot for poke and the #1 Musubi Cafe. Ideal 4 people family place to stay with all necessities incl beach towels, body boards, and roof top pool. Host responded quickly and very friendly. You can easily do trips to the amazing beaches of Waimānalo, Northshore surfer heaven, and landmark Ko’olau mountain range. We totally fell in love with Honolulu and the urban vibe of O’ahu - 5 days wasn’t enough!

Great condo for a couple. I was actually with my friend and slept on the couch but I think it’s more suitable for a couple sharing the bed. The location is perfect.

The condo is great in every way and the 13th floor furnishes a great view. * Spacious for Hawaii standards * Convenient to beach 2 small blocks away * Great view of Waikiki beach * Many eateries within a few blocks * Stocked perfectly down to soap & shampoo * Great & quick communication * Christeann at front desk was excellent * Very clean!!! * Beach paraphernalia was a huge plus * Parking was pricey but hotel policy We had a great stay and would stay again!! You can't go wrong with this rental.

Great location to beach and shopping.

Property was clean and located close to everything with a short two block walk to the beach. Overall the property fit our needs and had some beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrella, towels and inflatables that the kids enjoyed. The property also had a pretty stocked kitchen. We didn't do much cooking but it was nice to have several items available if needed. Only thing I would mention is to possibly have extra bedding available to be able to use the pull out couch as a bed. Overall I would say this property fit our needs of two adults and two small children. It would have fit better with the extra bedding since there is only one queen size bed.

This was our first VRBO rental so I do not have anything to compare to but we really enjoyed the rental in all aspects.

My son and I got to spend a few days in Waikiki. Check in was a little bit of a struggle as desk clerk had a hard time finding my information and no parking garage keys were available. Rest of stay was not any trouble at all. Room was neat and clean and we enjoyed the beach chairs and boogie boards that were in the room. Would book again if the need arises

This place was at an amazing location. We had a great view of the nearby beach as well as all of the surrounding buildings. I thought the space was fun and inviting, felt very much like our apartment at home. My only complaint was the bed. It was a very firm and I am someone who prefers a more plush bed. However, that is more a preference thing. Great overall and I appreciated the host’s responsiveness to messages.

From start to finish communication with Mayu was excellent. She gave recommendations to local places which was very helpful. Our stay here was most enjoyable and when there was a hiccup (beyond anyone’s control), she was prompt to get it handled. Our family enjoyed the vicinity to food, the beach, shopping, etc. The condo is equipped with everything you could think of and it is much appreciated!! Would definitely recommend and stay here with our family again!! Mahalo!

Condo perfect for our family of 3. Priced very well for location given older building. I especially appreciate location to beach, large windows with ocean view as well as the pool, hot tub, sauna and rooftop lounge available for our use. Mayu, owner, was very communicative and thoughtful from start and through our stay.

Wonderful stay! Mayu, the property manager, was incredibly helpful. She provided us with parking information, recommended some excellent restaurants, and promptly addressed all our inquiries. The rooms were clean, and the condo came fully equipped with beach chairs, umbrellas, and floaties, making our trips to the nearby beach even more enjoyable. The location was fantastic, with plenty of excellent restaurants within walking distance. The only hiccup we encountered was with the person at the front desk, who unfortunately wasn't very helpful. I'd definitely stay here again if I visit Oahu in the future. Thank you!

Superb location just 1.5 blocks to the beach. Unit is a bit older, but second to none for cleanliness and location. Front desk staff was very friendly and polite. Building is very secure and requires card for entry to Elevators. I had to leave early one morning(3AM) and a very large(in a good way) security guard was on duty at the elevator entrances. We felt super secure and slept very well. Our host left us some treats in the room for that extra caring touch. We will defiantly stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend this host and unit.

What an amazing place. Loved it and loved the location. Well equipped. Lovely host who was very communicative. The beach is literally within sight and a two minute walk. The host provided amazing beach accessories for which we were very grateful. Staff attge front desk made check in very long and difficult and gave incorrect info about several things including parking and laundry. That is pretty much everyone's experience.😅 but overall this is agt place!

Just about a block from Waikīkī Beach and on the 13th floor had a fantastic view of the ocean between and over some buildings! Our host supplied many items useful on the beach, but unfortunately weather wasn’t the best and Waikīkī Beach is pretty crowded even in late January when we were there. Only had one problem at the end when were charged for face cloths that were thread bare when we arrived and ripped during our use. Our host just uses a cleaning company though so she didn’t know about those items beforehand. Would recommend her and the facility ultimately.

Property was clean and comfortable. Communication with the host was easy and quick. We could use an extra set of towels as there were 3 people staying and only 2 sets of towels. Other than that, I would highly recommend. Thanks for a great stay.

The apartment is very well set up with pool toys, beach chairs, kitchen things etc. We really enjoyed the view of the ocean and the kids loved the rooftop pool. Check in was easy and communication was great.
