The Neighborhood:
Sugar Beach Resort puts couples beside one of North Kihei's most walkable stretches of shoreline. Sugar Beach is made for the low-key parts of a Maui trip: a first swim, a long walk with no destination, and sunset without a crowd of plans around it. The resort's shared pool and hot tub are there when you want fresh water, and shared grills make an easy dinner possible. Kihei adds shops and dining nearby, but the beach remains the reason to linger here.
Getting Around:
Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.

Great trip! Everything was as it said. Beautiful views and very clean. Had one easy issue to fix with A/C and the managers were incredibly quick to respond.
This condo was clean, comfortable for two people, well stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and for beach activities. The ocean view is gorgeous and unobstructed. Loved our stay!
The view was absolutely beautiful. The condo was well stocked and comfortable. Very nice welcome basket was left for us, which was a nice treat. The bedroom was not very cool and we tried to use the fan to cool it off which did help. Unfortunately, most of the time that we were there, we were unable to swim because the water was too rough and brown. You could sit on the beach in the morning but not the afternoon because of the wind. Overall it was a great location.
This is the perfect location if you would like to be on the beach, but also right off of main roads that will take you anywhere else you want to go in Maui. The unit is small, but perfectly fine for two people. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need and many things that you wouldn’t even think of. It is nice to have beach chairs, cooler, and umbrella at your disposal as well. We loved having our morning coffee on the balcony, and the only thing I would add to this unit would be, a comfortable lounge chair on the balcony to sit and read. The beach itself is very quiet and Sandy. We did have a few problems during our stay but the local Vacasa team was very responsive. I must mention, however, that one of the issues was an exterminator came without any advance notice during our stay. I now see that I am not the first person to complain of this. Vacasa must see that this never happens to anybody else.! I would not hesitate to book this unit again, but I would also make sure that this wouldn’t happen during my stay. The unit itself is great.
Beautifully furnished condo. Very comfy, well stocked and view is amazing! Would definitely come back!
