Ocean View Studio Steps to Beach - Pool, Spa & Pickleball - Free parking & Wi-Fi

Place is indeed across from the ocean however when you look out at this time you will see a crane. Not the bird but a big construction project. Also it is across a busy road. You do get used to the traffic noise. It has a very nice hot tub and pool. However many people live there and two of three we encountered were rude . It is as if it’s their hot tub and you the tourist are an unwelcome guest. We didn’t have the supplies we needed ( like 1 roll of TP and no bath map and my husband almost slipped. but we were brought them , eventually.The floors were really , really dirty.I talked to the host but she it was because of the( normal spaces ) cracks in the floor , needed some coating. I mopped myself and they became a lighter color but no proper mop was available to really mop them well. The rest of the house was clean . A water alarm went off . It was quickly attended to. The host was accommodating but the horribly dirty floors and the residents made it an uncomfortable stay.

The accommodation was just as described and shown in the photos! The only issue we had were hundreds of little gnats but we were told it was because of the recent rainfall!

Parking is great. The pool and bbq area is fantastic. Pool is super clean! The laundromat on store was not in service which was unwelcome. But other than that everything else was tops.

Well located, comfortable, clean, and well appointed with snorkel gear and beach fun.

The stay was very pleasant. The studio is quite spacious and fully equipped. The location is great, right across the street from the beach and just a 5-minute drive to a mall with a variety of shops and restaurants. The host provided very clear instructions at all times, so there was no confusion. The pool and jacuzzi were in excellent condition. We even asked for a late check-out by a few hours and they kindly accommodated us. I highly recommend it.

Our stay was great! The location was great, the property manager was very responsive, the shade umbrella was broken when we arrived but we messaged the manager and they brought us a new one the next day it was great. Loved our stay here.

Great location and amenities. Definitely will hear traffic noise and could use a little better direction in finding the specific apartment, but overall a great spot!

Couch bed was broken and unusable, leaving only a queen. Also, attempted to contact the owner for 12 hours with no reply. This cost me an additional 2 uber trips to another location. Otherwise, a lovely place!

Interacting with the host was helpful and perfect. The studio condo was cute and filled with many amenities. (suggestion: trade out coffee pot for pot/pod combo). However, condo is located on a busy road (across the street from the beach). Coming from a quiet neighborhood, we found it difficult to sleep.

This studio was the perfect place! It was close to the beach and all the great local eateries in Kihei. The location was great to catch a beautiful sunset on the lanai.The studio was clean for the most part, however the floors could’ve been swept and wiped down before our arrival as the bottom of our feet would turn black from the dirt and sand.

The room was very clean and had a Bright Hawaiian décor. There was a Nice protective small sandy beach across the street. Full Fridge came in handy. Had to be very careful taking a shower in the bathtub-wish there was a small bath mat. Bring earplugs, because it's next to the main road. The parking fills up really fast at night. I did not use the pool or BBQ, but had to fill in something on the survey. Suppose to be a nice restaurant across the street call Monsoon, which I did not make it to. My rating is 4.6. I would stay here again.

Shower/Tub is not draining well and water builds up when showering. The bath tub had rust on it.

We had an amazing stay at Jen’s place. The place look like the photos and had everything I need for a comfortable visit. The check in process was smooth. The location was perfect and close to great restaurant. Jen was super responsive. I’d definitely stay here again. Mahalo !

Staying at Jennifer's condo at Kihei Bay Surf was so relaxing and exactly as the description and photos depicted on VRBO. The location was close enough to the heart of Kihei but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. Being directly across the street from Kalepolepo Beach was so convenient. Having my morning coffee on the lanai every morning with an ocean view was a highlight of this comfortable condo. I highly suggest this condo to anyone who enjoys an ocean view and quick access to the beach. Thank you, Jennifer, for an relaxing time at your property. I will be back!!BradleyVancouver, Canada

We had a great stay. It was the perfect central location to get around Maui. It’s a little noisy being right on the main Kihei road but other than that it’s a perfect place!

I was very satisfied with our stay. Our host was friendly, professional, and quick to respond regarding any of our concerns.

Easy check in. Host gave very clear instructions early on so we had plenty of time to plan and feel confident of things before our trip. We had everything we needed when we arrived. Was clean and exactly as stated.

Great location. Clean well stocked condo. Highly recommend. Saw turtles every day at the fish pond.

Not a bad price. The location was great. Host was responsive, but had issues with the cable one day into my trip until I left. Another issue that was ongoing and mentioned it to the host. Overall, it was okay.

Check-in at 4 PM was a bit later than we would have liked, but overall, this studio had everything we needed for a quick stay on the island. The air conditioner was a nice bonus, and while the space is small, it worked perfectly for us since we spent most of our time out exploring. If you plan to hang out in the room a lot, it might feel a little cramped.The location is fantastic; right across the street from a gorgeous beach and within walking distance of a grocery store and great restaurants. The price was reasonable, and we’d definitely stay here again!

We only had 3 days for our first visit to Maui and were really pleased with the location (close to the beach, humpback whale centre, shops & restaurants) and amenities of the Ocean View Studio. (Got to say - we did not get a chance to try out the pool or BBQ - but would have done so if we had stayed longer). We really appreciated the fans and big windows (did not use the A/C at all). We also made good use of the beach extras (chairs, towels, soft cooler). One negative was that we didn't realize that the road in front of the suite was the main drag for the "Kihei Strip" - We found that the traffic noise was quite noticeable (with doors and windows open). Otherwise the suite was clean and comfortable and made a good base camp for our short expedition.

Great location and great place for a couple. It’s as described. Right across the street from the beach offering superb sunsets. Comfy place that’s well stocked with spices, tp, paper towels - all the things you usually have to buy at a VRBO. We never got a location from VRBO (no “here are you keys” email), but the host replied immediately upon our message. I would definitely stay here again!

Nice property with good parking, pool, and hot tub. Convenient location, beach adjacent. The only downside is that the unit faces directly onto Kihei Road, the busy highway leading into Kihei. This made for continuous traffic noise making it hard to enjoy the balcony.

It was a very peaceful, clean, and convenient. Local to bars, restaurants, beaches with surf lessons, and beautiful views.

Very nice complex. Clean and close to everything. Owner really went out of her way to help me out when my flight was canceled and I could have been homeless for 2 nights. Would definitely stay here again!

Unit and location felt authentic and good value

The pros: The location and building were great. The apartment did have all the household items that were needed and the beach chairs were helpful. The cons: The inside of the apartment was old, dated and appeared somewhat dirty. It was an extremely small apartment that would be suitable for maximum 2 adults as using the pullout couch or inflatable mattress would make it extremely challenging to move around the apartment. The cost of this apartment was overall too high for what you get.

Lovely unit. Steps from the beach. Great pool, very big, very clean. I loved how quiet the area was and we often had the BBQ and pool to ourselves. Parking was iffy, and I wasn't a huge fan of having to park head first only. But no big deal really. Plus the folks who started there before us clearly didn't rinse any of the communal beach gear like it asks you to, so we chose not to use it since it was full of sand. But again, no big deal. The lanai was perfect for morning coffee or evening sunsets. Jennifer was extremely communicative and accommodating :)

I would never recommend this place to anyone. It is on an extremely busy street and the deck overlooks said busy street. It is so incredibly noisy and miserable. I didn’t feel like it was clean at all. I don’t know, maybe my standards of clean are different but it felt dingy and girth to me. I actually wanted to cry when we arrived. I’m so thankful that we are only here 1 night or I can honestly say my trip would have been ruined. Do yourself a favor and keep looking for another property to stay at. This one is gross, loud & completely miserable.
