We did have some issues. The bathroom door to the second bathroom wouldn’t work and was a problem the entire stay. We did notify the host and they tried to get someone out to fix. The biggest issue was the air conditioner in the master bedroom wasn’t working which made sleep difficult. There is no air conditioning in the main part of the house so it isn’t comfortable hanging out there in the afternoons/evenings. Other than those issues, it was clean, well stocked and communication was great.
We enjoyed our stay for 5 nights in January. The condo was clean and as described. The bedrooms have portable air conditioners which was nice because although it’s January, it was still pretty warm while sleeping. The only thing I would note is to bring a sleep mask, as one of the bedrooms has a light shining into it at night and the curtains are not blackout. Overall, a good stay!
We stayed here for a week and it was great. The condo was clean and perfect. It’s just a short walk to the beach and close to shopping. We couldn’t have asked for a better place. Maholo. Until next time….

My family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenage sons) had a very nice 7 day vacation to Maui's beautiful North Kaanapali shore. This Kahana location is great for those who want to enjoy everything that Kaanapali has to offer but without the large resort crowds. The condo unit is about equal distance from both Black Rock / Whalers Village and Honolua Bay. If you're into beaches and snorkeling this is a great location. Overall the porperty is a little bit older and somewhat dated but still comfortable for 3 - 4 people. The in room AC units are a little cumbersome and somewhat loud for sleeping but we spent most of our time outdoors or in the water so we were pretty wiped out at night and sleeping was not difficult. The kitchen in this unit was very good and fairly well equipped making it easy to prepare meals. The outdoor pool and BBQs were modest but very clean and handy for when we came back from long days out and about. There is no beach access from this property but several local park beaches are easily within walking distance. In summary we had a very nice time staying in Kahana it's a great location and for the cost it is what one should expect.
First time booking with VRBO and had a wonderful experience. The apartment was amazing. Sit right above restaurants which makes it super convenient. Washer and dryer in unit was super helpful as I was able to travel home with clean clothing. Beach umbrellas we available. Great stay.
