Aloha and Welcome to Kulalani in Mauna Lani Resort, your home-away from home on the Big Island of Hawaii. Kulalani shares a two-acre world class amenity center with the neighboring KaMilo complex that offers a large lagoon pool, a lap pool, two hot tubs, exercise facilities, and a large, covered barbecue pavilion. With beautiful landscaping throughout, lush garden and mountain views, you will surely feel as though you have discovered the true definition of paradise.
Residence #2003 has been beautifully renovated to provide the perfect combination of luxury and comfort. An open floor plan, tall ceiling, calming color palette, and ample natural light create a relaxing environment for you to call home. The spacious and private lanai is just off the living area and features a dining table and gas BBQ, perfect for enjoying an evening at home. The living and dining areas have been freshly painted with new luxury vinyl flooring and offer plenty of space to enjoy a meal or movie night. A galley style, bright white kitchen includes new appliances and everything you could need for cooking island-inspired meals at home. A thoughtful layout provides many comfortable spaces to spend time together or relax independently.
Upstairs, both bedrooms are intentionally designed with comfortable furnishings, ample natural light, televisions, and storage space. The master includes an ensuite bathroom and private lanai with comfortable lounge seating.

Access to Mauna Lani Beach Club is included with rental (amenities at Mauna Lani Resort are not included): The Mauna Lani Beach Club offers a private white sand beach, the Surf Shack, and dining at Napua restaurant. The secluded white sand beach is protected from high surf by a cove making the beach a perfect spot for all ages to play in the sand, swim, paddleboard, and snorkel through lush coral reefs.
On site recreation facilities: large lagoon pool, a 25-meter lap pool, two hot tubs, exercise facilities, and a large, covered barbecue pavilion. Townhouse is located next to facilities entrance.

Just a 3 minute drive to the Shops at Mauna Lani with a grocery store, restaurants, boutiques, and a 10-15 minute walk to Holoholokai Beach Park. 49 Black Sand Beach is a 10 minute drive to the south within Mauna Lani Resort. Five star restaurants at the Fairmont Orchid and Mauna Lani Resort are less than 10 minutes away by car.
The townhouse #2003, is solar and has an EV charging station in the garage.
Garage is a single car garage with a narrow opening. Caution is advised. A very large SUV may need to be parked in the available parking space at the side of the driveway.

Nice condo in a central location to enjoy the Big Island
Great home in a fantastic location. Everything you need is included. We would love to stay here again.
Pleasant surrounding only complaint was ridiculous tiny coffe maker only brewed two less that 6 oz at a time
Kulanani is a lovely development. Grounds are beautiful and pools and gym are very nice. There was lots nice about the property. Location. View from second floor lanai, privacy of outdoor eating lanai were all very nice. The kitchen appliances were good, though we have had better stocking of wine glasses, cookware, etc were good but not as good as past rentals in the price range. Our two biggest issues were that the unit was not clean on arrival. Me and my wife had to do a fair bit of cleaning on our own when we arrived. Not our favourite. The last issue was somewhat personal. But the unit had excessive amounts clutter for decor and we had to put stuff away in closets to feel more comfortable. Overall we had a very nice stay. Started on the wrong foot but lots good.

House was located in a gated well manicured and well kept neighborhood with a large pool, workout area, and hot tubs. Quiet and family friendly. Spacious house that included everything we needed- beach chairs, cooler, plenty of towels and starters of paper goods. Convenient location to the pool area as well as to the grocery and shopping center and the beach club. It was so nice to have that as an option to go to the beach club and eat at the restaurant as well. Unfortunately we never were able to access the black sand beach within the Mauni Lani area. Location of house was convenient to airport, Kona and day trips around the island. One thing to note there was not a divider of any type between the primary bedroom and bathroom to block any noise or light if someone was in the bathroom/shower/closet area and some was sleeping in the queen bed close to that space. But overall we had a lovely time and would not hesitate staying again
The place was comfortable, nicely appointed and had ample patio and deck space. Great location next to pools & exercise facility. 5 minute drive to the beach club with private parking was a big plus!
First time doing Vrbo, and it was a great experience with with kitchen and rooms. Access to beach club is definitely a bonus.

Overall we enjoyed our 14 days in this condo. The location of a very short walk to the pools and fitness center was the best! It was also very convenient to drive a short distance to a grocery store and restaurants. The attached garage is very narrow and we had to push our side mirrors in to fit the car (midsize SUV) inside the garage. However, it is nice to have a garage to keep the car out of the hot sun. They did supply toilet paper, paper towels, dish and laundry soap. The bathroom soaps are low quality so I purchased our own as we were going to be there two weeks. A couple of issues we experienced, we found a dead rat on the patio next to the patio door on our first full day and it took Hawaii Life over 8 hours before it was removed! The internet and cable tv weren’t working the first night we arrived. We notified the host early morning and she got it resolved late in the morning.

The house was clean and well appointed with just about anything you needed for cooking. The description and photos were accurate. Having a washer and dryer was very nice as we went to the beach numerous times. The access to the Mauna Lani beach was great. It did require a drive to get to but it was worth it for the sandy beach and snorkeling. We never ate at any of the restaurants in the area but they had great views and looked popular. The grocery store is actually pretty well stocked but tiny. The prices were too different than the Safeway in Kona. We checked out the gym and the pool but never actually used either. They were both popular but never crowded and they looked very nice. The snorkeling on the days when the water was clear was really phenomenal. Felt like you were in an aquarium. The roads felt safe for walking on with the generous bike and pedestrian path and lots of people were out walking or running every day. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony every morning with our coffee and just enjoying the view of the property and the mountains and listening to the ocean. Our host Lisa was very helpful when we called to ask some questions including restaurant suggestions. Overall we had an amazing time and we will definitely be back!Pros: Clean, well stocked with basics, beautiful location, helpful host, close to two sandy beaches, bbq and laundry on property, nice garden view, walking distance to market and shops.Cons: Beds were pretty stiff
