With close proximity to the resort lobby, north end privacy and a no-stairs front entrance, Maui Tropical Sunset is a high-demand FIRST FLOOR condo at the ocean front Royal Kahana Resort in West Maui.
**THE RETREAT PROPERTY**
From the moment you enter the condo, you will be greeted by spectacular ocean views through the glass doors next to the living room! There is comfortable lounge seating for up to 4 guests, and the sofa folds out to a queen bed when needed. A sofa bedding kit is located in the walk-in closet, adjacent to the primary bedroom. In the corner of the living room, there is a large, smart TV with a Xumo Stream Box for streaming your own favorite channel subscriptions thanks to super fast Wi-Fi. There are blackout curtains and 3-inch shutter blinds that allow for privacy and rest after a long day of island adventures.
In the dining area, there is a ceiling fan and dining table with 4 chairs. There are also 2 bar stools next to the large kitchen island for an additional dining option.
The well equipped kitchen will be appreciated by the chef in your family, as it offers granite countertops, stainless appliances, dishes, glasses, pots and pans, spices, dishwasher, food waste disposal, microwave, oven, stove top, refrigerator and freezer, and a pantry area for storing your own supplies.
Next to the dining area, behind mirrored doors and near the pantry, there is a stackable washer and dryer for your convenience.
In the primary bedroom, there is a large, comfortable king bed with zipped hypoallergenic encasements on the pillows and mattress. Comfortable bedding, a ceiling fan in the bedroom, and 3" room-darkening blinds provide offer guests rest and relaxation each night. There is a second large smart TV for movie nights, and there is a private workspace with a rolling chair, desk and USB ports - perfect for remote work required while in this tropical paradise.
Next to the primary bedroom, there is a spacious walk-through closet that leads to the en-suite bathroom. This closet is where the homeowner's own beach miscellaneous supplies and toys are kept, and they invite you to enjoy them as their own family does. Inside this closet, there is also a 1300-CFM 3-speed portable evaporative cooler in case of any A/C outages due to unpredictable island weather.
In the bathroom, there is a beautiful and spacious walk-in shower with safety grab bars and a hand-held shower faucet. Through the bathroom, there is a second door that leads back out to the kitchen and dining area.
Through the living room, you will behold the ocean views that are enjoyed year-round. With a private lanai, the living area extends naturally to the outdoors, and the year-round tropical temperatures on the island allow for a superb alfresco dining experience. A few of the first-floor condos, such as this one, also share a beautiful walking terrace that leads to stairs that lead down the beautiful recreation area of the resort.

*Although the HOA schedules regular professional pest control services, pests such as ants, roaches, lizards, and rodents cannot be completely controlled in a tropical environment. If our guests have a problem, we always work to let HOA know so that they can minimize any pests.

During this time, humpback whales migrate from Alaska to Hawaii for breeding and birthing. With year-round tropical weather, every season is a great time to be our guest on Maui. This retreat property allows service dogs ONLY. Dogs must be quarantined for 6 weeks on the island, in accordance with the laws and regulations of the State of Hawaii and County of Maui.
This retreat property does NOT allow smoking.
Exterior security cameras are located at this property and throughout Royal Kahana Resort.
There is a $300 security deposit HOLD required for this retreat property.
Guests will receive email communication from Peaceful Retreats prior, during and after each retreat.
There is a Royal Kahana Resort parking fee (currently $18 per night per vehicle); This additional fee is payable to the resort upon arrival. Guests will receive an amenity card for the pool, fitness center and ice machine upon payment of the parking fee. Resort Amenity Cards are valid for the length of reservation.
Peaceful Retreats gives back 10% of all revenue commission collected from reservations at this home to Papi's Ohana, a family-owned bakery and pizzeria that is dedicated to serving the community. Their mission goes beyond the most amazing cinnamon rolls on the island! They open our doors and hearts to provide prayer and support to all who visit, and thanks to the generous donations, they have been able to bless families with monetary donations and provide the community with homemade goods at no cost since the fires of 2023.

This is our second stay at Maui Tropical Sunset, and we love this condo! The on-island team is great, and communication was clear. You can tell that the homeowners upkeep this condo, and we noticed the extra touches. This condo is clean, and we appreciate the comfortable king size bed and air conditioning, as well as fans, for our restful sleep! We packed a small cooler (ice machine in the resort) each day for our adventures and enjoyed all of the perks of Royal Kahana Resort. Highly recommend The Gazebo for breakfast and Joey's Kitchen for lunch. And we will dream about Papi's Ohana cinnamon rolls until next year! We will be back next year!
This spot was perfect! Wife & I had a great time.. Unit has a great view, easy access to Beach & Pool. Anything you need was walking distance!! We will DEFINITELY come back to this same spot 🙌🏼

Great location with near immediate access to ocean off lanai & conveniences like restaurants, shopping, etc. We have stayed here multiple times in the last 12 months and find the unit comfortable (particularly the bed) and always clean.

This condo was located on the first floor, which was amazing. You could walk out the back door and have the most stunning views. Condo was very neat and clean. It had everything we needed. I would highly recommend a stay there and we will be staying there again as well. Mahalo
Misti was a wonderful host. Very responsive to any questions or queries we had. Great location with many amenities and restaurants within a short walking distance. And the King bed was quite comfortable and greatly appreciated. Most 1 bd/1ba condos on Maui utilize a queen size bed for some reason. Would book again anytime!

This was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable units we have had the opportunity to experience in our life! WHAT A JOY! Could not have asked for more. From start to finish blissful Kahana made us feel like home.
This place worked great for us. Great location and the view was amazing. The one thing I would request is a key to the bathroom. Since it is shred one side would be locked, so when our 9 year old locked the other door we were locked out. Still not sure how we opened it.

Great place to stay right by the water. The views were incredible. Even with a little hiccup, Misti helped us get it figured out.
Seemed most condo's on the island provided the Tommy Bahama Beach chairs and umbrellas, whereas this condo only had (1) very rusty folding beach chair and it stained our towels from the rust. Also, the beach in front of the condo is no longer there/accessible due to erosion. Otherwise the place was very clean and well kept.

This condo was spacious, spotless, and had an amazing view. We could walk right out to the beach from the lanai to watch breathtaking sunsets and whales in the distance. The large kitchen was great for cooking, and the peaceful location made our stay even better. Highly recommend and would stay again!
My husband and I have been to Maui every year for the past 20 years, staying at various resorts on the island. This year we booked with Peaceful Retreats and I have to say it was by far the best experience we have had. The room was updated and very nice. Checking in and out was great and Peaceful Retreats made everything so easy. We have already booked our next visit to Maui with them.
We stayed 7 days in this place for our honeymoon, and really loved the apartment. It is very spacious, clean, and have a beautiful ocean front view and view of the neighboring island. The host was very responsive to resolve a water leak from the fridge. Unfortunately, the property does not have a beach, and the nearest good size beach is a 10 min drive. There is a small beach that is a 5-7 min walk. Would definitely stay here again!

Maui Tropical Sunset is spectacular! We have been to Maui multiple times, but decided to try this condo at Royal Kahana Resort and it did not disappoint. The ease of the unit being on the first floor was great for us with 2 children. Quick access to the beach, the pool, the car, the lounge chairs and even restaurants! This condo is well maintained and clean, and the host helped choose the best places for dining. Perfect spot for a getaway. We especially appreciated not having to pack extra beach toys as there were some there for us to use, and we will be back to this condo every time we visit Hawaii!
What a beautiful condo by the water. It is updated, well decorated and it has everything you need. Whether you cook in or eat out, there are plenty of options. I loved that it was on the ground floor and was able to go outside and enjoy the well kept grounds. The sandy beach is a few meters/ yards away and the water as always is fantastic! Plenty of beach turtles swimming around and would come out to the beach to sun.
I recently stayed at a stunning condo in Maui, and it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the views took our breath away.
