Property Overview
D307 is a two bedroom, two bath with AC. There is a full ocean view of Molokini, Kahoolawe, Lanai, Maalaea Bay and the West Maui Mountains. You can see wonderful sunsets, whales during high season and kite surfers on a windy day. All can be enjoyed from the lanai and inside the condo. The lanai has a dining table and chairs for relaxing while enjoying dining or the spectacular view.
The living room area has high beam ceilings along with a ceiling fan and a/c. There is a tv and sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen is remodeled and has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and all of the cooking essentials you need.
The master bedroom is in the upstairs loft area which looks down into the living room. There is a spacious King size bed and a full bathroom with a shower (no tub). There is a ceiling fan and air conditioning for your enjoyment.
The guest bedroom downstairs offers two twin beds, a ceiling fan and air conditioning. The guest bathroom features a tile vanity and a small tub with shower.

Great location and good amenities. The only down side is that there is a pickle ball court that you get to look at that is not shown from the balcony in the pictures, it shows it is there but not shown in the view. 8 am every morning you will here the souds of the pickle ball court. Aside from that the bed was very comfortable and the property is very clean.

My family and I (wife, two boys, 5 and 7, and Mom) stayed here and loved the condo. It has everything you need in the condo for cooking in the kitchen, going to the beach, etc. The laundry is a huge plus with kids! You will face the water and mountains from this unit. The location has a clean poo and hot tub, shuffleboard, and tennis/pickle ball right behind you. The beach is walking distance. Keep in mind, the upstairs bedroom is a loft that opens directly to the main living area which has a pull-out couch. The other bedroom has two single beds. We loved it and would come back.
We've stayed in many condos on Maui over the years, and this one had the best view of any we've stayed at - the panoramic ocean view is just unmatched, and the orientation of the unit meant we were able to enjoy many hours on the lanai without baking in direct sunlight. It is true that the unit overlooks the pickleball courts, but they are some distance away and I thought it was fun to watch the pickleballers while relaxing with a glass of wine. The lanai table was large enough for the 4 of us us to enjoy many meals outside. We had no need for A/C. The unit was decorated very nicely and there were plenty of towels and dishes, the washer and dryer were great. Just a few quirks to point out that might be useful for future renters - the staircase to the master loft bedroom is very difficult - the steps are hard tile, and each step is several inches shallower than a normal step. I am a woman with a size nine foot, and when I put my heel against the back of the step, my toes would hang over the edge. We had to duck-walk down and up the stairs, and the tile would be extremely dangerous and slick with wet feet. We don't have any physical issues in our family, but this would be important for anyone with mobility or vertigo issues. I actually told my kids not to go upstairs at all because I felt they were too dangerous. I'm not sure if ALL the staircases at Luana Kai are like this? Also, the master bathroom toilet and shower area is completely open to the loft - there used to be a pocket door, but it was removed for some reason. So, a person using the toilet is in the same space as a person in the bed. And, since it's a loft, there's no barrier between the upstairs toilet and the kitchen/living area, even though on different levels. If you're having a noisy time in the bathroom, someone sitting on the couch reading a book would have a noisy time as well. This was OK for our family, but could be awkward depending on who your travel partners are...Thank you for the lovely stay, hopefully this review is helpful for future travelers.
This condo was clean, well appointed and a great place to stay. Ocean views and Amazing Maui Sunsets are the best daily occurrences
I reserved this a year ago- no mention at that time it had no elevator to reach the 3rd floor----3 flights of stairs for luggage and Costco shopping for 12 days was a bit too much! The plumbing in lower bathroom was a challenge ---other than that the view was wonderful! Kirsten
We had a great time. Place was nice. just right for a family of 4.
Our family of 5 spent 7 days at the property and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It is it a great central location, beautifully kept and maintained. This unit has an unmatched view of the sunset! There are plenty of gas grills around the pool which we made good use of, and the property is a quick walk to the beach. I'd highly recommend!
This condo suited our needs well. We loved the beach view and access. Great lanai for morning coffee and sunsets! The washer/dryer was a great feature as well as the beach chairs and cooler with frozen ice packs. The only thing we found awkward was the master bath upstairs. There is no door and the master is an open loft. We made it work and enjoyed the condo very much!
