Koa Resort #5F 4-bedroom 3-bath, Ground Floor, CLOSEST TO BEACH!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kihei! The area was amazing, pool was beautiful and clean. Our house was stocked with everything we needed and property manager was helpful in assisting with some accessible accommodations we needed for a guest who was in a wheelchair. We would love to go back!

Great location. Beautiful house. Great amenities. It was a perfect house for our large family. Definitely would stay again.

Our daughter was planning on getting married on the island in September. It was decided that she wouldn’t be able enjoy her day knowing there was so much suffering going on with the fires. Our host graciously rebooked us. We came with another couple and enjoyed our stay completely. The facilities, and the condo were great. Just as advertised. Thank you.

This was perfect for our four generation group of 10 people , ranging in age from 18 months to 80. The condo was well laid out to accommodate that many people and we appreciated the extra little touches like a very well appointed kitchen, beach and sand toys for the kids, lots of beach towels and a list of restaurant recommendations. Only change we would make would to have stayed longer

Location was quite central to much of Maui and a 4 min walk to the beach. Nice beach in the morning, windy in the PM. Nice accommodations and a good base for other activities. Good for extended family gatherings.

The place is excellent and just like the pictures. Pros: 1. Clean & well-stocked 2. Lots of towels and kitchen supplies 3. Nice pool area 4. Beach was a close walk and is beautiful 5. Kid friendly 6. Nice Lanai surrounded by tropical foliage (see below on this) Cons: 1. Communications with the property manager 2. Noisy inside/outside unit due to traffic. The unit is located right next to busy S. Kihei Road. 3. There is a permanent resident next door who smokes on his lanai. Nice guy but beware he smokes non-stop and the smell wafts over. We didn't say anything to him. 4. Very long walk from the parking lot and no wagon available to help transport groceries/beach gear back and forth from unit BEWARE of Michael, the Property Manager. He is rude and condescending. We woke up one morning to find our lanai covered in pollen and swarming with thousands of bees due to a nearby palm tree. I phoned him and he said he would have it taken care of. The next day nothing done yet, I texted him and he said "3 weeks so I suggest you buy a fly swatter so you can continue to enjoy your lanai". In regards to the pollen, he said "They will come by with their leaf blower, how would you like to pay?" He quoted us an exorbitant amount of money. If anything goes wrong you'll have absolutely no help. In the end the bees/pollen were never removed and the lanai was unuseable and unsafe. For this reason I cannot give the place more than 3 stars.

Great place

Wonderful experience...close to everything, clean, easy access

First of all, the location was close to everything. The pool was absolutely incredible and the hot tub was fun after dark. The home itself was very well stocked with just about everything we needed to have a good stay - cooler, beach chairs and towels, etc. The home had a good layout for an adult family. Now for the reason for my title. We weren’t given the code until after 4 pm to check in, and as we were locating the unit (a VERY far walk from the parking area) I was greeted by the housekeeper who told me the kitchen faucet was leaky. Not only was it leaky, but you had to slam it from a counter clockwise position to get it to stop streaming all together. The faucet in the hall bath shower fell off the first time my mom used it. The shower heads in the other bathrooms were leaky as well. The AC was barely pumping so my brother and husband checked the filters. They were coated in a very thick layer of human funk - hair, dust, etc. We cleaned all of the filters ourselves with the outside hose and voila, the ac was pumping cold. There were very few washcloths available, and all of the white towels were dingey and stained. The washcloth I used had a giant brown circular stain right in the middle of it. If I had more space in my suitcase, I would have purchased my own set of towels to use. There was urine on the backside of the toilet. Baseboards everywhere lookedbad Maintenance is totally ignored, cleanliness was sub par, yet instructions to vacate were extremely strict.

The condo was awesome for a family of 10… 8 adults and 2 kids, ages 8 and 10. 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were good. Kitchen was well stocked.The beach/pool towels were limited. We said 10 people - that’s exactly how many small,thin, used towels we got. And to use for both beach and pool was kinda frustrating. Bath towels were the same - they weren’t worn and thin but there were 15 big towels, limited wash cloths, and a few hand towels. I know this sounds petty, but when we asked for more - we were told that 10 beach towels was enough and 15 bath towels was enough also. washer and dryer constantly running.! Plumbing needs some repair. The lawn outside the front door had just had some work done and was repaired but obviously it didn’t matter what it looked like after they were done- very unappealing! The sprinkler system for the grounds watered our outside deck in the afternoon. All in all our stay was great… it’s just that when good money is coming in for the rental every week , a guest staying there wonders why decent Towels aren’t provided.
