If you are looking for a condo rental that is high-density and busy with many come-and-go travelers, then this complex might not be for you! Maui Kamaole is one of the finest complexes in South Kihei. Private and luxurious, this 23-acre property is a low-density condominium complex with large and lush tropical gardens. It is modern and comes with two large pools with hot tubs and many BBQ patio areas throughout the property. Nearly 30% of this complex is owner-occupied.
Maui Kamaole is located on the edge of Kihei and Wailea. Walking to Kamaole Beach is just 5 minutes away from the property entrance, with grassy areas, a playground, and a beach with a gently sloped sandy bottom and gentle waves. It's a great place to watch the sunsets! Keawakapu Beach stretches over a mile and has intermittent tide pools and coral reefs for some excellent snorkeling opportunities. If you like golf, the world-class golf courses of Wailea and Makena are just minutes away.
F106 is located in a quiet location near the tennis courts and upper "Oasis" pool that comes complete with a waterfall and sand-bottom spa. Far enough from the road, yet close enough to the pool, you're not too close to hear any noise coming from either one. Being one of the last units completed, the builder of the "F" cluster incorporated many architectural features that make better use of the space than you would find in the older units. Our 1061 sq. ft. unit comes with a private, nicely landscaped, and decorated lanai off of the master bedroom and a large tropical lanai off of the living room. Both the living room and bedroom are equipped with high-efficiency split air conditioners, and both rooms come with large ceiling fans. Because of the location of our unit, the evening breezes frequently bring in the soft ocean air. A steel security screen door has been installed on the entry to allow the flow of air without having to use the air conditioners. Our unit has upgraded cable and wireless internet and has a landline that allows free calls to the other Hawaiian Islands, the U.S. Mainland, and Canada. There is free assigned parking near the entrance to our unit.
As of May 1, 2023, our unit has been remodeled with new tile flooring throughout, new energy-efficient lighting, and new draperies, and has been completely repainted. F106 is fully stocked for your use. We have stainless steel appliances: refrigerator, flat-topped cooking stove, dishwasher, and microwave. The kitchen has been stocked with a complete array of cookware, dishes, glasses, cutlery, cups, and silverware, as well as all needed cooking utensils. New sink hardware has been installed and updated in both the kitchen and baths. A 50" Smart TV was installed along with a new DVD player. A 42" TV was installed in 2021 in the Master bedroom. The living room is furnished with a new sofa sleeper (that can sleep 2 adults) that has a comfortable 8.5" mattress. You will also find a glass dining table that seats 6, bar stools for snacking, and a CD player that holds a cell phone for your favorite music. A new patio set for the large lanai was recently replaced. All lighting has just been reconfigured with bright, low-heat/energy-efficient fixtures to maintain the light and "airy" feel throughout.
The Master Bedroom comes equipped with a Cal King platform bed with a newer "16" medium/firm mattress. (as of 11/1/24) The platform bed has 4 storage drawers below. The bedding has 1000 thread count sheets and pillow coverings for the Cal King pillows. Additional pillows of various "firmness" are located in the closet for you to select from. In the master bedroom, you will find two nightstands with matching lamps, an alarm clock, and a tall entertainment unit equipped with a 42" TV and DVD player. There are additional drawers and storage for clothing. The bedroom also comes with a matching desk and chair for quiet business/reading time. The Master Bedroom has 2 large closets with additional storage drawers for clothing if needed. Off the MBR is a private lanai for morning coffee, personal sunning, or an evening glass of wine. Both bathrooms have frameless showers and new hardware. Additionally, we have stocked beach/sports equipment for you to use: 3 boogie boards, 3 ice chests, 4 beach towels, a beach umbrella, beach toys, snorkel gear, 6 beach chairs, and tennis rackets for your use while visiting. The unit comes equipped with a security safe and a clothes washer and dryer. In the living room, you will find a binder with detailed instructions on how to use the new appliances, TV/cable/DVD, and some of our favorite restaurant recommendations and things to do while visiting Maui. Additionally, you will find many books and CDs/DVDs for you to use while visiting.
Our unit is professionally managed by one of the largest and best-managed companies on Maui: Maui Condo and Home. Upon booking, you will receive all communications about arrival, check-in procedures, and check-out procedures directly from them. If an issue arises during your stay, you will have 24/7 contact information for your assistance from MCH. Upon final payment, you will also have direct contact information with us for assistance. Additionally, for your security, all payments, refunds, and communications are handled by VRBO.
ONE FINAL NOTE: We know that you have many choices when you rent a vacation rental through HomeAway/VRBO. We consider F106 as our paradise home "away from home". We visit 3 - 4 times per year, so we have 1st hand knowledge of our property and think of our guests ultimately as an extended "family". We go out of our way to keep our place up-to-date, neat, and clean. We are not property managers, nor do we own additional property to rent out. This is not a business for us. Like you, we have been to places rented through VRBO/AirBnB that "sound great", but upon arrival, find the dishes mismatched, stained and worn bedding, knives, and kitchenware missing, and multi-styled, equipped with old TVs and other electronics, and wireless that does not work!! Some owners/managers never stay in their units and are only interested in maximizing revenue. Unfortunately, they don't care if you ever come back. When you visit our property, it is our ultimate goal to have you return frequently. Purchased in July 2015, we are constantly looking for ways to improve your experience and make your visit more relaxing and enjoyable.

Instantly felt at home in this wonderful condo. The owners have gone way sbove and beyond with stocking it! Everything you need for the beach ... chairs, toys, coolers, umbrella, sunscreen! A little library of gyidebooks and even nobels if you need something to read. We opened our screen door the first morning to wake up to the beautiful songs of the Hawaiian birds (plus a couple of roosters to really wake you up). The ground were an explosion of floral fragrance and colorThe layout of the resort is such that you have incredible privacy. The building only being two stories and having it's own private enclosed lania off the master added to the sense of it being a secluded spot. The owners were incredibly responsive and helpful. We will definatley be returning. Thank you Barry and Simon for sharing your little piece of paradise! Mahalo!
We loved our 2 week stay at this condo. Nicely decorated, clean, well stocked with everything we needed. We loved the pool and landscaping around the complex. Close to several of the best south Maui beaches. Couldn't have found a better place to stay.
The condo was the best we have been to in our 20 years of going to the island. We have stayed at the Aston Maui Hill but it was too large for our needs. It too, was beautiful and luxurious. The Maui Kamaole had very beautiful grounds and a convenient location. I loved the lay-out of the unit. It was clean and well stocked. It has the best couch and we really appreciated the flashlight.The accessible shower was fabulous. We plan on having one in our home next year. We really like the 2 bathrooms as well. We would recommend the condo to our friends and family.
The condo had everything you could possibly need, nicely updated and decorated. Great location, quiet and private. The owners were a delight to deal with and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. We will be back.
This property was fantastic! The only reason it was slightly less expensive than our stay in Kaanapali was it was a few more steps to the beach. Take advantage of that because you get a bigger place in a beautiful property for less cost and it is still an easy walk to the beach to catch the sunset. We did a snorkeling tour that left literally across the street. Anytime we had a lot to carry we just drove down the hill and found parking. Easy. This place was perfect. We hope to return soon! Owners were also great at communicating.
We had a great time in Kihei staying at this property! The pools and hot tubs were great, the tennis courts were really well-maintained, and the condo was walkable to the beaches and some cafes for breakfast in the morning! Previously, we have stayed in Kaanapali, but we would return to Kihei again in the future, we really liked the area. Thank you!
This is a spotlessly clean and quiet condo away from the hustle and bustle of central Kihei. Stocked with absolutely everything one could possible need for cooking, beach activities and general relaxation. Towards the rear of the Maui Kamaole complex there is obviously no direct ocean view but the important trade-off is that you are also well removed from the often very busy main road and its noise. Tile floors throughout make for easy cleanup of the inevitable sand. The mini-split A/C cooled things down quickly although we found just letting the breeze waft through was usually enough. Easy ten minute walk to beautiful Keawakapu beach, among others. Great communication with Barry and Simon and we’re very happy with our choice to stay here.
I was attracted to this property by the glowing reviews on this site and by the host’s detailed and very accurate description of the condo and its setting. This set for us some very high expectations. After a recent two-week visit, I can report that our expectations were entirely met. The condo is well-equipped and ideal for a couple or small family with younger children. Within the Maui Kamaole complex it is ideally situated; towards the back of the property in a peaceful and quiet spot and near to the upper swimming pool (though, as the host points out in his description, not so close as to present any noise issues). We spent many enjoyable hours on the garden-level lanai, which is both peaceful and private. The complex is also within walking distance (or a short drive) of our favorite beach in the South Kihei area, namely Keawakapu Beach. Finally, from the point of our initial contact when considering the reservation through to our actual stay, the hosts couldn’t have been any quicker or more accommodating in responding to any questions we had. So, like so many on this site, I have nothing but praise to offer for people considering renting here. Just leave enough open bookings for our return visit!
Our hosts were friendly, communicated quickly and gave us helpful hints for the island. My family had a wonderful vacation at this location. The grandkids loved the pool. The condo was fully stocked and had more amenities than I have ever had in a condo. The kitchen was fabulous. I can't say enough about how homey and welcome we felt in this condo!
This condo is amazing. I was very happy staying there. It is very well stocked with everything you think you need. pots and pans, spices tinfoil, Ziploc baggies. we arrived May 13 and we left June 1. It was a very quiet place to stay and relax. Simon was a very good host. I would definitely stay there again. The pool is great and the grounds are beautiful. Thanks for everything Simon. 🐢🌴👙👍
The property is very private and quiet. Very comfortable and kitchen has all the essentials to make a wonderful Maui vacation. Beautiful lanai’s to enjoy as well. Easy walk to both pools and beaches. We would definitely stay here again.
Perfect location and one of the best equipped units I have ever stayed in. You will have everything you need for your first night and beach fun. The kitchen was furnished to the degree where you could host a dinner party. The location is close to all of the main Kehei attractions, Kamaole beach and an easy drive to anything else. Maui Kamaole makes you feel secluded while being right in the middle of everything. We had some slight confusion during check in as there was an incorrect email address on file but other than that everything was absolutely flawless. Highly recommend!
Everything was wonderful as usual except for a couple of small items that needed attention. We love the condo , the location and so enjoy our time in Hawaii. The owners are so obliging and great to work with.

We have stayed at Maui Kamaole many times throughout the years and this unit was by far the best equipped unit we have seen. Every practical utensil you could want and all the appliances you could ever need. It truly felt like everything you would have in your home would be there. So nice to have all the cooking spices and even little things like chip clips. In my experience, these condos have all the basics typically but this felt like home. Super clean! Communication was amazing! Bed was very comfortable and a friend used the pull out- which we were told was great! I would highly recommend!
We so enjoyed the main floor home of Barry & Simon. It really felt like we were staying at a friends’ home with every detail looked after. The birds and little critters visiting the lanai made for an exciting and peaceful ritual for us. Super comfortable in every way.
Barry and Simon’s place is absolutely beautiful! I honesty can’t think of anything that could be improved about it. The location is perfect - walkable to a lovely beach which is great for watching the sunset, close to the pool in the condo complex, and situated in between the bustle of Kihei to the north and the swanky resorts of Wailea to the south, which are also fun to look around. The condo itself is spacious, comfortable, and so quiet, which we loved. So peaceful. There are lots of thoughtful touches, like nightlights in the bathrooms and hallways (my favorite) and an entire closet full of beach-going supplies. Thanks to Barry and Simon for making their gorgeous home available - we had a wonderful time.
Barry and Simon's condo was the perfect stay for my family (my husband and toddler). The place was very quiet and peaceful. The condo was very clean and we loved the well-supplied kitchen! Barry and Simon were gracious hosts, checking in to make sure we settled in well and if we needed anything. And its location is a definite plus - across from the beaches, readiliy accessible to restaurants and cafes. I highly recommend booking with Barry & SImon!
