Property Overview
***Maui Kamaole remains legally rentable under Maui County Bill 9 through Jan 2031. Maui Kamaole is also part of the proposed list of properties to be rezoned before 2031 to retain legal short term rental status.***
This 1050+ square foot 2BR/2BA condo is in the highly desired Maui Kamaole complex, one of the newer condo complexes with some of the largest units in South Maui. Our home is spacious with 2 large bedrooms (plus a pull-out memory foam sleeper sectional), 2 large baths with walk-in showers, and a large common area. Located above the main pool, it also offers views of the pool, partial ocean, and mountains. The unit has 2 split A/C systems in the living room and upstairs loft, and a window unit in the lower bedroom for the days when the trade winds are not enough to keep you cool. Since the unit is near the front of the complex, it is a short walk down to Kamaole Beach Park III. The complex is also close to all the great bars, restaurants, and shopping that South Kihei has to offer. The central location also offers a short drive to Wailea and its beaches, golf courses, resorts, shops, and restaurants. Our home underwent a complete renovation in July 2018 that included new tile flooring and carpet, an open concept floor plan, an updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances, updated bathrooms including a unique faux lava rock wall feature in the master bath, washer and dryer, and all new furniture.

If you have a redeye flight, we strongly urge you to book another night as we cannot offer late check-out. Check-in is at 4 PM HST and check-out is at 11 AM HST.

While we do provide beach towels, other beach supplies, including chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and bodyboards are readily available for rent at most dive and snorkel shops on island at very affordable rates. We are committed to ensuring that our environmental impact on Maui is minimal. Renting these items goes a very long way in ensuring that they don’t end up in our island’s landfill. **Note: On Aug 5 2022, Maui County banned the sale, rental, and use of disposable polystyrene bodyboards.**

Wonderful, well appointed condo in Kihei for our family of 5. Kitchen with everything you need to enjoy meals sitting on the lanai overlooking the pool. Plenty of beach towels plus beach chairs! Walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants. Short walk to the beach and right across the street from the departure point for our Molokini snorkel trip. Aloha!
Our second stay in this condo and the experience was just as good as the 2019 visit. The grounds are excellent and well-kept as is the condo itself. Handy beach gear, good air-con and all the home comforts you would expect. Scott the host is very prompt with answers to questions etc. All in all an excellent experience.

Great location in Kihei, close to everything. Perfect for our family of 4 with 1 large bed and 2 twins. Very comfortable accommodations. Kitchen was well stocked and allowed us to make meals when we didn’t want to eat out. Will rent here again.
Overall the condo was very clean and in a great location. Access to the pool was wonderful for when we didn’t have time to hang for hours at the beach or for when we didn’t want to drag sand back with us. I would say if you are a light sleeper and have early risers in your group, it is not a quiet space. From the loft you can hear every little noise when people are up and moving around in the kitchen, living area and bedroom/bathroom. Other than that it was a comfortable place to stay.
The property is exactly as advertised on VRBO. Really well renovated throughout and the kitchen has everything you would need. Closely located to the pool (and BBQs - also really clean) with a nice view from the main Lanai (as its not on the ground floor). The combination of ceiling fans and split level air-conditioning worked really well in keeping the property cool. One of the main bedroom wardrobe doors needed adjusting first day (a real minor thing) and the onsite property company came almost straight away. So you'll have no problems there if needed. One improvement would be that the main lanai does not have an extendible canopy, we noticed some of the other units do. Would help with the afternoon sun on the lanai. Maui Kamaole is just across from Kamaole III beach and a short stroll down through block G to cross the road. Its also close to Keawakapu beach which is our favorite with the small grassy area right by the beach, a good reef for snorkeling, good store for daytime snacks and a lovely long sandy beach for evening strolls. But its easy to get onto the main upper road for trips or down to Wailea if needed. So in summary, great rental unit, good location in the Maui Kamaole property and in Kihei itself. You can't go wrong booking this one. Enjoy. Ian and Tracy.
Everything about this stay was 5-star. The location, cleanliness, ease, communication, and amenities were above and beyond my expectations. Our host was extremely responsive and helpful with questions. The unit was close to the pool and steps away from our designated parking spot. I will be back!
We stayed with our 2 grown boys for one week and we absolutely loved this condo! This was our second time in Hawaii but first time on Maui and we wanted to stay in a condo and really enjoy the “island life” this time as opposed to staying in a resort. We were not disappointed at all! This condo had lots of space and all the conveniences needed for a fantastic stay and it was also located in a prime location for beach and dining in Kihei. It was also very clean and renovated with great taste and offered a cool Hawaiian vibe, which we loved! Thank you so much-we really appreciated you letting us stay at your place!!
This was our second time staying at this property because of its updates and clean feeling, condo association features like pool and grills, and how close it is to just walk to great beaches. No regrets staying here, would like to come back for a third visit in the future. Owner is also very accommodating.
The condo was great. Very comfortable beds, great main room furniture. Kitchen was well appointed. Appliances were new and worked great. AC worked perfectly in all areas. Pools were in easily accessible locations and just super for kids and adults. Front desk folks were very helpful in supplying solutions when our rental didn’t start and always willing to help.
Just finished our third trip to this condo and we absolutely LOVE it! Such a fantastic space, we will continue to return. All the 5 star comments are true.

We just got back from an amazing stay - the condo was the perfect size for our family of 4. We enjoyed the pools and felt right at home! If we visit again, we will definitely stay here - the location is close to the beaches and shops. We just loved it here!
We spent just over a week here and we could not have been happier. It is exactly as advertised. The pictures are exactly what you get. Zero disappointments, which is usually not the norm when you rent. The location to the pool can't be beat. The beach is literally across the street and within walking distance to restaurants. It is in a quieter area of Kihei which made it feel more peaceful. We had all the space and amenities we needed to have all the comforts of home. The beds are plush and soooo comfortable. If we return to this area of Maui, we would re-book in a heartbeat. Thank you, Scott!
