Located in sunny South Maui, Maui's South Shore boasts the most variety and breathtakingly beautiful beaches of all Hawaiian Islands. Just pack your swim suite and leave the rest to us. Staying in a house with relaxing outdoor spaces is truly one of the best ways to enjoy your vacation. This is a non-smoking property.
Why rent a private cottage? You never have to share the hot tub or the BBQ with any of the other tourists nor is there a closing time for the hot tub. Parking is so convenient directly in front of the cottage, you never have to compete with other guests for parking spaces. When you have your large suitcases, Costco purchases, beach gear and coolers, your car is just out the front door instead of meandering through a large complex with your heavy items.

The ancient Hawaiians traveled to Kihei for their Royal Retreats. There are six miles of beach along Kihei's coastline, including the popular Kama'ole beaches.
Our private cottage is located in a neighborhood in the heart of South Kihei, the sunniest part of Maui near the famous Kama’ole white sand beaches. Just a 10-minute walk to many things:
- Kalama Beach Park (tennis, volleyball, basketball, skate park, outdoor skating rink, beautiful sunsets, and more)
- Over 23 restaurants, coffee shops, and bars
- Shops, boutiques, open air markets
- Saturday Farmers market and grocery store
- The Cove Beach Park (paddle boarding and beginner surfing)
We love our morning and evening walks for coffee, breakfast, waterfront strolling, paddleboarding, happy hour, dinner, evening cocktails, and sunsets.

- Kamaole Beach Park 1, 2, 3 (Kam 1 is a 20-min walk) – the best swimming beaches
There are several beaches very close to the house depending on what you are interested in. When we go to the beach with our gear, we always drive. There is plenty of parking in front of the beaches and we have coolers, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkel equipment, towels.
Here are all the distances to give you a better idea of our local beaches.
- Kalama Beach Park (0.5 mile, 5 min walk to beginning of the park) - retaining wall to the ocean and beach, small beach usually used by paddleboarders and surfers. Fantastic walk along the waterfront and where everyone gathers for sunset. The park is amazing with playground, tennis, volleyball, basketball, roller-skating rink and more
- Cove Park (0.7 miles, 10 min walk, 1 minute drive) - great for paddle boarding, wading in the water, beginner surf lessons leave from this beach
All the Kamaole beaches are considered some of the best beaches on Maui. We spend our beach time at Kamaole I.
- Kamaole Beach Park I (1 mile, 20 min walk, 3 min drive)
- Kamaole Beach Park II (1.6 miles, 32 min walk, 5 min drive)
- Kamaole Beach Park III (1.9 miles, 36 min walk, 6 min drive)
Short Drive (15-20 minutes):

Stroll in cute little shops while trying some local shave ice. You will love Maui's most unique shopping and dining experience at Kihei Kalama Village with great places to eat and over 40 vendors and boutiques. At the south side of Kalama Beach, you will find Cove Park where you can take surfing lessons or try stand up paddle boarding. Walk beyond Cove Park and you find Charley Young beach which is part of the famous Kamaole beaches.
In the morning, walk to Starbucks, Lava Java Coffee Roasters, or Da Greens and enjoy your coffee at the beach or in a lush tropical setting. During the early evening, you can enjoy Happy Hour at Three’s Bar and Grill or one of the other many places within a 10-minute walk of the house or enjoy the gorgeous sunsets at the beach.

House was nice and well stocked. I enjoyed the outdoor shower and garden. Neighborhood was so-so. A couple abandoned vehicles parked in front of the house made getting in/out difficult. Adjoining house that host also owns was noisy. Mainly, I also found host’s communications to be excessive both before and during my stay. I’m just trying to relax on vacation, not be bombarded by messages. Never experienced that before. Overall, I did enjoy my stay but felt it was a bit overpriced all things considered.
We loved this cottage! The location is great for exploring the island but is also walking distance to shops, restaurants & beaches. It is very well equipped with clean, high quality furniture & appliances. The tropical outdoor spaces are very private. Highly recommended!

We couldn’t recommend Jenni and Dave’s luxury Kehei cottage more! Such a beautiful slice of Maui. Lots of activities, restaurants, shopping, etc to do within a 10-15 minute walk. The cottage itself was extremely clean and very comfortable. We hope to be back!
This charming cottage is a marvel of great design, surrounded by a beautiful garden. We enjoyed walking through the friendly neighborhood on our way to town. The owners are skilled, organized inn keepers. All contributed to a wonderful week on Maui.
My wife and I have stayed at many different vacation rentals over the years, and this property is the best, pound for pound, that we have stayed in.It packs a real punch into its 1Bed/1Bath footprint. Hot tub, outdoor shower, two separate outdoor seating areas, in unit laundry, smart TVs, high quality linens, a luxury shower, and more! And that's just the physical features. The hosts Jenni and Dave think of literally everything they can to make your stay wonderful. Whether it's a welcome gift, extra sunscreen, or a recommendation book that's 2" thick, they have invested their time into making the place memorable. They've also invested their money - everything feels new and high quality, as of January 2025, or at the very least VERY well kept up. We also liked how walkable it was to S Kihei Rd and many of the major restaurants and stores near Kalama Park. We did this daily for breakfast and dinner.There should be a special category for hosts like this who keep up properties like this, because I'd stay at any of their properties again in a heartbeat. If this space fits your needs and is anywhere close to your budget, just book it because you won't regret it.

My Husband and I just got married this month on the Big Island. I chose this because it would be perfect for our honeymoon in Maui. We loved the privacy, the location, the cleanliness, the clean/green atmosphere, and the quick and warm communication from Jenni. They had a wonderful book they created so we can ‘meet’ their family. It also provided so many adventures, places to eat, beaches to go to. I love this cottage and will absolutely reserve again for our future travel.
We stayed here for almost a week and it was the nicest place I have ever been to on Maui. So clean and the host was easy to communicate with. The ac and fans are a must with the heat and humidity. 10/10 would recommend. Close to all the shops and beaches.
We only had 2 nights here, but I wish we could have stayed much longer - the accommodations were simply lovely - the landscaping created a private flower-filled oasis and the creation of outdoor living space makes the home seem at least twice as big. The owners were very responsive in communicating with us and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Our only disappointment is that the nearest beach isn't really a swimming beach, but it has amazing sunsets!
Outstanding property and we look forward to returning again.
I love the house, its nice, clean, has all of the amenities, and is just overall beautiful. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again. The owners communicate well and share good information about the area.
