Property Overview

TAKE IN A VIEW OF LAʻALOA BEACH (aka Magic Sands) FROM OUR LANAI! The top floor condo is directly across the street from La'aloa beach park (aka Magic/White Sands) - at most a 5 minute walk from the front door. Try boogie boarding at the beach with one of the boogie boards supplied for your enjoyment. After a great day in the water the sound of the waves breaking will put you to sleep at night!

However, this is not all. We care about our guests. For example, we give discounts for stays longer than a week. Plus, we block out 24 hours between stays to make sure that the condo can be thoroughly cleaned for every guest.

In addition, the condo is setup for it truly to be your home away from home. The living room has a cable connected 65 inch HDTV Smart TV so you can connect to netflix and other apps. The free WIFI will allow the kids to surf the internet and stream as much as they want with up to 900 Mbps download and upload speeds. The master bedroom has a king size bed and a cable connected Smart TV. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds that can be put together to make a king size bed. The living room also has a queen sized sofa sleeper. Recent improvements include updated Master and Guest baths as well as premium vinyl flooring. The guest bath has a tub/shower combination while the master bath has a walk in shower. Our kitchen is fully equipped as we like to cook. and it includes a large stainless steel refrigerator/freezer with water dispenser. In addition, there is a full size range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, slow cooker, coffee maker (grounds or k-cups) and rice cooker, as well as other small appliances at your disposal. We also provide boogie boards, Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrellas, snorkel gear, noodles, coolers, sand toys, and beach towels for your use. We ask that you rinse these items and yourself off at the beach and with the hose downstairs prior to reentering the condo as excess sand can require extra clearning charges as well as scractching the flooring.

The lanai is setup for dining out as well as lounging and is perfect for watching the beach and the pool below. In addition, we are on the Keauhou building which means we don't get direct afternoon sunshine so the condo and lanai stays cooler. This allows you to enjoy it 24/7 without the needs to pull down blinds to block the gorgeous view..

White Sands Village resort offers two private tennis courts (set up for both tennis as well as pickle ball), a beautiful pool with hot tub, sauna and pool table for your family to enjoy after those long days exploring the island. This area also includes restrooms as well as showers with hot and cold water. There is a covered grilling area by the pool with tables and an outdoor kitchen with a small refrigerator for your family to enjoy as the kids play in the pool.

We think you will agree that you have all the comforts of home while staying here. We have spent a lot of time paying attention to detail to make it your paradise in Hawaii. This includes regular spraying for the tropical pests that come with being in paradise. We do ask you to wipe off counter tops and not leave food out so you do not attract pests.

Our condo unit is located in the front section of White Sands Village on the third and top floor (#317) so our view of the beach is spectacular! On the third floor, the elevator access is 15 steps from our front door with no stairs to climb. Our unit's assigned covered parking spaces (room for two cars parked tandem) are just steps from the elevator with no stairs for access. The unit even has a key coded door lock for easy check-in and checkout. This condo unit is a value-priced alternative to the more expensive Kona resorts.

If you are a golfer, the Kona Country Club is located two miles down Ali'i Drive. There have two 18 hole courses, one which features mountain vistas and the other fronts on the ocean. There is also a full service club house and restaurant.

The famous snorkeling beach, Kahalu'u, with its green turtles and colorful tropical fish, is a mile walk south. In addition, bike rentals are only a few steps from the condo so you can bike to the snorkeling beach if you prefer. Better yet you can snorkel along the shoreline on either side of White Sands Beach.

Additional activities in and around Kona include kayaking, paddle boarding, sunset cruises, whale watching, parasailing, deep sea fishing, jet skiing, hiking, movies, theater, shopping, and restaurants. Of course, you don't want to forget to check out Kona town with Hulihe‘e Palace, Kona Farmer's market, Mokuaikaua Church (Hawai'i's oldest Christian church) and Old Kona Airport recreation area.

Take a day trip to Mauna Loa and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park home of Kilauea the worlds largest active volcanic crater. It is about 3 mi (5 km) Long, 2 mi, (3.2 km) wide and 3000 ft (920 m) deep. Currently, there is lava in the crater (about 700 meters deep) so you can hike out at night and observe the lava's red glow. Hike around in the general area and trek down into some of the previous calderas with steam escaping from deep below the surface. If you like you can stop off at the Volcano winery for some great snacks and wine tasting. On your trip to the park midway between Kailua-Kona and Volcanos Park don't forget to stop at the renowned Punalu'u Bake Shop. They make many very tasty treats that the keiki are sure to enjoy including their famous Punalu'u Sweet Bread. They also feature Ka'u coffee and make great sandwiches. It is a good place to take a break as you drive to the Park.

We would stay here again! The property was clean, exactly as described, and perfect location and amenities for a family! The host had very detailed information and was very responsive to messages not only about the property, but also the island! Our stay in Hawaii was amazing. I cannot recommend staying here more. I initially chose the unit based on the top notch reviews and I was not disappointed. The hosts are responsive and gracious, the unit is clean and have a home like quality and the view from the lanai is perfect. When they say steps away from the beach, that is accurate- I started every morning and closed every evening with a walk along the water’s edge. The sunsets are amazing from the canopy of trees near the park showers. I hope we can come visit again, our vacation and stay were 10/10, thank you Kathy!

This home had more than any vacation rental ive ever stayed in. The hoat obviously cares for their guests. We were given early check in. The beds are extremely comfortable which never happens. The pillows are premium and new. The house has 2 large coolers, several tommy bahama umbrellas and chairs, boogie boards, beach toys, lots of snorkel equipment. The wifi is wifi 6, super high speed. The tv in the main area is a very large LG smart tv. The washer and dryer units are stacked LG thin-q, with enough tide pods to last you the whole trip. The fridge had 20 or so waters already in there to help us get through our first several days. The shower is large, and very high pressure. The bathrooms have actual hand soap, not the crappy bar soap that you get everywhere. The parking spot is covered, and 5 steps from the elevator. This place oozes convenience, and we were all blown away. If you're on the fence, just book it. I promise you wont regret it.

I'm 73 with a lower back issues requiring fusion surgery in a few months, and my daughter and I have travelled twice before to the big island for two weeks each time. This is my 7th 2 week trip to the BI, and by far the best. Easy access to Magic Sands, very good beds, Lanai on the shady side of the building, decent water pressure, dishwasher, side by side fridge, and two bathrooms gave us more comfort than we needed. The parking spot is a few steps away from the ramp to the elevator, and the room is only 2 doors from the elevator, so everything is easy on the old body. We hit all of our favorite beaches, the weather was great, and the surf low. We befriended the geckos on the lanai during the day, and could listen to the ocean at night when the local traffic is light. I couldn't hike on this trip, but we managed to do a big day in Hilo. Local black beaches were the best snorkeling and vibe, but we got the last of the 40 public parking spots on Mauna Kea on our second last day. Communication with the host was helpful and fast, and it was the best money I have spent on the island. I hope to be lucky enough to get back to this exact unit at least one more time.

Our hosts have thought of everything we might need 🤗 The kitchen had updated appliances, fully stocked with coffee maker, tea kettle, new pots and pans and a few items for taking “to go beverages” down to the beach. We used the three beach chairs and snorkling equipment and towels. Boogie boards, cooler, noddles were also available. We spent a lot of time on the lanai enjoying the view and meals. The unit was comfortable and our hosts couldn’t have been more responsive .Would stay here again 🤗

Two sisters really enjoyed our time at this excellent condo in a great location. The view, pool, parking, elevator, coffee shop across the street all let us at ease, relaxed and very welcomed. We were there 10 days and had zero complaints. Oh and the hot tub was a bonus. You wouldn’t believe you’d use it but we did everyday. No better host than Kathy. Super helpful!

The owner was very responsive and even let us check in early after our morning flight. The place includes tons of pool and beach goodies that allowed us lots of water play. The condo has a fabulous ocean view from the deck and is right across the street from a beach with beautiful sunsets, as well as a restaurant and snack shack. Kitchen is fully stocked with everything one needs to make fabulous meals, blended drinks, etc. Overall, it was a wonderful location and we’d stay again!
