The worst unit I have ever stayed in. The pictures are very misleading. Broken cabinets, rusted out closets and broken tiles. Starting with the bathroom, the shower is an old musty shower with broken caulking, dirty tile floors and walls. Very out dated and in need of a complete overhaul. The vanity has a tennis ball size hole in it! Moving into the bedroom. The closet, you are greeted by a closet that’s completely covered in rust! Omg I didn’t even use it. And the overhead AC unit was also covered in rust right at the air exhaust. What a sight ! I swear laying on that bed and looking up at this was disturbing. The kitchen was usable but also dirty , the walls and ceiling are covered in black spots. Also the unit is advertised as sleeping 4 people with 2 sleeping on the retractable couch in the living room. That bed is unusable. The middle of the bed just falls in on you. No support In the middle. So that’s misleading. I’m an adult 5’11 and bed could not hold me up. Also the couch needs a cleaning, dirty. We didn’t even sit on it, it was that dirty. On the balcony the tiles are sticking up so I was stabbing my toe when going out on the balcony. The balcony furniture also needed to be cleaned so we avoided using the balcony furniture. Overall the unit is a disaster. Would not recommend to anyone. Please be careful Only good thing I would say was the view and location of the unit. Parking was good too. Checking in and out was easy.

Parking was convenient, easy access to Main Street, the linens had holes , towels were well worn, bath in need of an upgrade, great view of pool and ocean. Living room furniture also well worn, outdoor furniture needs replacing. Had to have a new dryer installed during our stay. Left 2 days early because of some of these issues

I hope to stay in this unit again; it was the perfect spot for us. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

Kitchenware was a limited. The bathroom sink drained slowly. Otherwise it was adequate but still a good deal given the price. The location is excellent and the pool was nice.

Lovely lanai/location. Parking convenient. Handy washer/dryer in unit. But unit seriously needs updating and has seen better days. Drape over head board very old/dirty. Sofa past it's prime and could use replacing. Towels very thin and see thru.

The location of the condo. Easy access from our parking and to the pool and BBQ and Ocean view. Also a good kitchen.

The condo was exactly as described, a little dated but had all the amenities we needed. This condo is located in a great location close to downtown and easy walk to many shops, bars and restaurants. The grounds are very well maintained, the pool area is fabulous. Spent several morning in the deck drinking coffee and watching whales out in the ocean.

This location is wonderful. This room; not-so-much. It’s VERY outdated and parts of it are really dirty. We didn’t run the a/c because I had an allergic reaction every time we turned it on. The furniture was filthy and the outdoor table and chairs are literally falling apart. There are plenty of dishes for eating and cooking.

Room was a bit musty smelling when we got there but didn't last long. The only real complaint we had was the toilet paper. It was so thin you could see through it! Other than that fabulous experience.

The condo met our needs as place to stay. The condition of the Condo was not new. Rusty fixtures, older appliances, the bedroom configuration was strange but we made it work,

The unit and most everything in it is old. A good modernization would make the property much more appealing. Location is great, view is as advertised.

The ocean view was good as advertised, and the property was kept up well and clean.

Kona reef is a small older condo but very well taken care of and maintained. The pool area is nice and has a family feel. The ocean and beach are steps away. Old town Kona is a short walk as well though on a busy road.

The only thing this place has going for it is the location. When we arrived the tv was on. The remote was not working. We messaged the host. The next morning while we were out maintenance man let himself in to fix the remote. When we returned the tv was on. Remote still not working. We called host again. Maintenance came again and replaced the batteries then he left. Remote still not working. Called maintenance. When he returned he was talking to the host on phone. I could overhear their conversation. They were blaming it on user error. I handed the remote to maintenance and asked him to show me how it works. It wasn’t working! Finally he replaced the remote. The next morning cable repair showed up without warning because the Wi-Fi was so slow they had to replace cables. This place was a disappointment. The air conditioner smells of cigarette smoke and mold. The couch smells like urine. The bathroom tub is disgusting. Bathroom Sheetrock has holes in it. The bathroom windows are rusted shut. The refrigerator is old and rusty. Washer and dryer are rusty. Drapes, linens and towels are old and outdated. We had friends staying in other units and theirs were so nice compared to this unit. We will not be back here ever.

The location of the property is perfect. The two air conditioners were welcome. The grounds and the parking are great. We will be back soon!

This Kona Reef apartment was a great choice for our stay. It was within walking distance of town; the pool and courtyard area were well-maintained and quiet at night. The BBQs were cleaned daily. Our unit had 2 ACs, which would be great during warmer weather. The unit itself is a bit dated and worn, but it was clean and comfortable. All early communication was good, but upon arrival and struggling a bit with the keypad entry (low lighting), I called the manager, and he was quite rude. My family even heard him speaking to me through the phone and were shocked by how he was addressing the problem. I was polite and didn't bother him again. Really, that is my only complaint. There is good parking here as well and I would return.

The property was great. We assumed that because there was elevators that there was wheelchair access. Watching and hearing the waves, whales, boats, surfers from our deck was wonderful. Close to the center of everything was wonderful. In all we enjoyed our visit very much

Clean, quiet and the perfect place for viewing a beautiful sunset right from the lanai. Great pool, great hot tub and excellent grilling area with family or friends. Great place just to lay your head if you’re not there as well. We explored everyday from morning till dinner. Highly recommend!
