Spectacular Condo: 2BR/2BA Oceanfront

The condo and the property were exactly as described. Although the condo is not new, the owners keep it in excellent shape. The oceanfront view was fabulous, and we were close enough to hear the waves. We will definitely book this unit again in the future.

The apartment has some excellent qualities, but our experience was mixed. The biggest issue is that the listing should clearly state that there is no air conditioning. We did not realize this before booking, and during several nights the heat was very uncomfortable, making it difficult to sleep. On the positive side, the location is outstanding. The neighborhood is quiet, beautiful, and conveniently located. The ocean view is spectacular, and hearing the waves at night was a highlight of our stay. The balcony is wonderful, and the condominium is clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, the apartment itself needs better cleaning and maintenance. Upon arrival, there was a noticeable musty odor throughout the unit, and it did not feel thoroughly cleaned. The kitchen island required additional cleaning, and the coffee maker was very dirty. The beds are old and should be replaced. Behind the Murphy bed in the main bedroom there was a significant amount of dust and dirt ( very very old), and the second bed’s headboard felt unstable. The furniture appeared worn and outdated, and we were unsure whether the sheets and towels had been freshly laundered. We found just one extra towel. Overall, we enjoyed the stay because of the incredible view, beautiful balcony, and excellent location. However, the lack of air conditioning, cleanliness concerns, and musty smell negatively impacted our experience.

We would not stay here again. The unit next to this one is actively undergoing major construction. We were unable to be in the unit from 10am-4pm Mon-Thurs due to the noise and construction dust. This was not minor work- they were literally using a jackhammer to remove tile and cement. When we asked the construction crew, they said they were “almost done” every day. So we dealt with it, thinking they would be done soon, as we didn’t want to find a new place mid-trip.The neighbors told us the owners know about the renovation. However, we were not informed before booking. We would never have picked the unit if we knew. The days/times without construction was fine. The complex is nice as is the pool. The unit itself is dated (as expected from the photos) but has a nice lanai and great view. It gets hot and the fans are not sufficient, and simple things like shampoo are not provided. He did let us checkout late which was very helpful.The owner reached out by calling us and physically mailed the checkin instructions, instead of using the app which was awkward.

We enjoyed our stay at this condo - the views were amazing, location was very convenient to everywhere we wanted to go, and the unit had everything we needed. The condo was clean and tidy and the fans and ventilation kept us cool throughout the warm days. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

The host was very knowledgeable, gave us good advice on what to do, answered questions promptly.

Fantastic view

Really enjoyed my stay here. Had everything I needed for the 2 weeks I stayed. Such a lovely apartment. Approx 35-40 minutes to where the IM took place and approximate 45 mins to the big supermarkets. Located right on the run course and you could even see the swim course from the balcony. Would definitely recommend staying here and would happily stay again. You would not be disappointed.

The Lanai View was the highlight of the home. Ocean breeze and views for days. Jim was a breeze to work with as well. Really appreciated the opportunity to stay here!!

The property is as described. Maybe could use some updating and more attention to the cleaning - but a very comfortable space and end unit which is great. It’s really all about the view! We spent most of our time on the lanaii enjoying sunsets and watching the cruise ships come and go. We had stayed at this complex before and like the location, grounds and pool. We had an issue at check in but the owner and property manager were very attentive and responsive.

Well furnished small condo. Comfortable, except no A/C, and Kona temps are a big change vs. Seattle. Well located to enjoy the beautiful Kialua-Kona area.

The property had beautiful maintained gardens. The condo is very nice and views of the ocean are amazing. Neighbors friendly and quiet.

Condo is in a great location, 15 minute walk to downtown Kona. Situated perfectly for beautiful sunsets and to watch cruise ships arrive. Unit is complete with everything one would require for your stay. Jim, the owner of the unit, is extremely helpful and accommodating in every way. Although it is an older unit, I would rate our overall experience a 5 out of 5.

Beautiful condo with great water view. Very comfortable. Plenty of beach equipment including boogie boards, snorkels, beach chairs and towels. Even coolers! Owner is very responsive and answered questions quickly before our stay. Clean and lots of supplies like spices and oils etc. Would definitely stay here again!!

The owner is very professional, efficient and accommodating. The property is very close to restaurants and dining options. Grocery is only a few mins drive. The condo does not have air conditioning so be prepared for humidity. Some electric fans in the home does not blow enough air. Overall a great place except for the absent of an AC.

Our stay was good. The lanai has a direct view of the ocean, which is fantastic for watching sunsets. The location is nice. The condo has mostly everything you'd need for your vacation. As against the description states, I don't think this would qualify as "luxurious" in 2023. A few reasons: this is on top floor, and there's no elevator. The 2nd bedroom isn't a real one, but section of the living area carved out. The bedroom gets noise from nearby residents (windows aren't good enough)

Our stay was incredible. The oceanfront view was so beautiful to wake up to each morning. The condo also had everything we were looking for and even had a booklet for recommendations around the Big Island. We also appreciated the beach towels and chairs for our beach and snorkel days. The condo is also a comfortable walk or short drive away from town for good coffee, restaurants and shopping too. Jim was also an excellent host and was communicative from the beginning of our stay to the end. Highly recommend staying here in Kona. Aloha!

Nice property with amazing view of the water.

Such an amazing place to stay. Great balcony views, location is perfect and easy parking. Definitely would stay here again when I return to Big Island.

We loved staying in this well-maintained unit with a spacious lanai and beautiful sunset views over the ocean. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment and some pantry staples, since this is the owners' second home, and everything is organized with clear information. We appreciated the large-capacity washer and dryer right in the unit. A great value -- we would definitely stay here again!
