The condo itself has the best location! It’s near multiple farmer’s markets, grocery stores, and the super cute waterfront. It’s relatively updated and was fairly clean. We weren’t supplied with a fitted sheet for the pullout sofa bed, but the rental company had one to us within 24 hours. The kitchen is very nicely stocked and there were enough sundries to last for our five day stay. Definitely recommend!
We had an amazing direct ocean view and fell asleep and woke up to the soothing sound of the waves every day! The property was older, but well-maintained, quiet, and in great shape. Our unit was cozy with beautiful decor. We loved having our morning coffee while watching the surfers and catching the stunning sunsets from the lanai.It was so convenient to have a full kitchen and laundry right in our unit. The only small thing we wished for was a bigger fry pan, but honestly, we had everything else we needed. When the dishwasher stopped working, we called the property manager, and someone came out within the hour to fix it. The living room had AC, but the bedroom didn’t. The ceiling fan in the bedroom was a bit slow, but we found extra fans in the closet that kept the room cool enough. The coral sand beach on the property was the perfect spot to relax with umbrellas and lounge chairs. The pool was a great spot too and kept very clean, daily. Although we didn’t use the grills, we saw several people grilling nearby. The public saltwater pool next to the property, by the beach, looked a little sketchy, but it was a great spot to have a morning swim, protected from the rocks. You could snorkel with the fish there too. (snorkels in our unit)We were just a short walk away from the Ali'i Garden Markets, where we picked up fresh fruit, veggies, and the best banana bread. There was also a small market and coffee shop in walking distance. We definitely will rent this spot again!
Wonderfull view!
The sunsets from the lanai are absolutely gorgeous. Kitchen and everything we needed and the entire home was very clean. It is in a quieter stretch of Kona, which we loved, but still convenient to restaurants and stores in the area. Bonus that they had snorkel gear for us to use. We would definitely choose this unit again if we return to the Big Island. Communication with the property management was excellent. Great experience all around!
Very good location, slightly away from the hubbub of the downtown area. Clean, comfortable property has it all. On the ocean, pool, relaxing area to sit, grill, and enjoy the calm. Definitely would consider a repeat stay here.
Condo as described. Please to find that we did not need to run right out and get the basics such as hand soap, toilet paper and tissues. Great location and as always when in any Hawaiian Island terrific sunsets! Mahalo!!
Fantastic view from the balcony. Spent any hours just adring the views. Condo was well equipped and well maintained. One of the ost enjoyable stays I have had in Hawaii. Hope to return soon.
The place is a one bedroom condo with a decent kitchen, balcony and awesome ocean view. Unit is nicely equipped with all you need in the kitchen (except we had to buy a kettle), beach supplies and essentials. My only area of concern was the deck chairs, the cushions are worn out and uncomfortable. The complex pool and BBQ’s are excellent as are the lounge chairs and picnic tables by the water. We will be back.
First time that we were able to book an oceanfront unit, worth it ! Truly: it was fabulous. We enjoyed every minute.
This place had everything we were looking for. The location is great, the place well stocked and you can’t beat the sound of crashing waves and the unobstructed oceanfront view. The complex is quiet, but still very family/kid friendly. The beach chairs and umbrella were great, but wish there had been a small cooler to use. Yes, the place could use a few fixes- a cupboard needed a new hinge, more outlets near the bed to plug in devices, a cheese grater in the kitchen- but these were small issues and easy to work around. I will never understand why people pay the high prices of a resort with all the added fees and crowds when you can have your own slice of heaven like this one.
We truly enjoyed this condo. The oceanfront location was ideal to experience all that the Big Island has to offer. A hundred feet in front waves crash with an amazing ferocity, To the left is a public saltwater pool that was a blast when the surf was high. Next to that you will find surfers and wonder how they are able to perform their quick turns. The freshwater pool is very clean (heated via solar panels) and was clearly a favorite of many of the guests and residents. We took advantage of the "sandy" beach area every day. The trees and umbrellas provided excellent shade and it was a comfortable place for reading or just watching the surf, admiring how the wave and splash you just saw could have been larger than the last. (But you never do get wet) The BBQ's were in excellent shape. Air Conditioning was very welcome and although it is only in the living room, it did help cool the bedroom at the other end. The kitchen is well stocked with all the pots, pans, and utensils you will need. We certainly will consider this condo again on our next visit.
