I have stayed at Kona Isle on four occasions and a great experience every time! Great spot with a lovely place by the water to lounge. This unit was very clean and well-equipped. Communication from the host was excellent. Highly Recommended!
We love this property because of the location and beautifully manicured grounds. This unit was super comfortable and well-stocked.
Perfect size condo for a couple. One can enjoy the trade winds from the lanai and listen to waves crash. Or you can walk out to the beach chairs below the pool and enjoy the sunset. Plenty of ceiling fans to move air and A/C to cool it down at night. Queen bed was very comfortable. Plenty of towels and beach mats. Kitchen is well stocked with cookware and appliances.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kona Isle c35. It was in a great location and had everything we needed including a small and medium size coolers, beach chairs and a beach umbrella. The unit was clean and the perfect size for a couple. We would definitely recommend this place to others planning a trip to Kona
We enjoyed our stay at Kona Isle. The units are perfectly located, far enough from the hustle of town but close enough to shopping and main events of the island. Ocean sunsets every night. My only suggestion is the kitchen needs some updates. There weren’t any cutting boards, I had to go buy some. The knifes are about as sharp as a butter knife. The cabinets don’t close so you’re always banging into them. If the fan is on don’t open cabinets because the fan will hit them. Also no oven just a toaster oven. Overall nothing you can’t work around. The bed was super comfy and the air con was perfect in that room. We only used the fan in the living area and it worked just fine. I would recommend to my friends to stay there.
Fit our needs
The property was exactly as described. The location was great for everything we wanted to do. We loved the fact that it came with beach chairs and an umbrella. The saltwater pool next door was great when the waves were high.
We had a fantastic stay at Kona Isle #C35. The condo was spotless upon our arrival. We loved having all of the comforts of home, including a washer/dryer and the ability to make many of of meals there. We were pleasantly surprised by all of the extra comforts and useful beach items, like an umbrella and boogie boards. We used both on the last day and had so much fun at Hapuna Beach. The condo building was awesome, with a great pool, lots of lounge chairs, and amazing ocean views. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. We hope to return someday, not only to the Big Island, but the same building and condo. We loved every minute! Thank you!
The condo was nice. Sunday before we left the AC went out. I called the Kona Concierge on Monday morning. Thought we had it figured out but didn't and called back. The 2nd call was not logged. Nobody came out to fix it. Hawaii is hot and muggy in June. Wednesday I called again. They sent someone right out. The living area split couldn't be repaired during our stay. The bedroom one was fixed. The property manager Steve was friendly and pleasant. There was however a woman there who was very nosey and rude. She had reported to Steve that my guests didn't belong there. She reported to him that they weren't visiting anyone there and were just parking in the parking lot and using the pool. Once Steve confronted us and understood what was really happening he became very friendly. The woman continued to creep around.
Good location. Easy parking.
Great location. Property is older, but well kept. Our condo was not ocean front but had a beautiful, partial view of the ocean and nightly sunsets. We really appreciated the coolers, beach chairs, beach towels, etc. that were supplied for us. We used the grills and picnic tables located on the property on nights we didn't go out to eat. This was a great place to meet other people staying on the property and get beautiful pictures of the sunset. The condo was clean enough, but could really use a deep cleaning. Floors and walls were a little dirty. I also wish the condo would have had a dishwasher...I don't really want to hand wash dishes on my vacation!! Also, some of the dishes and cutlery in the cabinets and drawers were not clean and I think a dishwasher would have better ensured clean and sanitized dishes! The TV had a large black spot in the upper right hand corner. We really didn't think too much of it at the time since we really only watched the TV once during our stay, when our hometown basketball team was playing (Go Jays!) and just thought the TV was probably old and in need of replacement. Imagine our surprise when the management company contacted us after we checked out, accusing us of damaging the TV. Lesson learned, if you see any damage when you check in, report it immediately!! All in all we had a wonderful 2 week stay in Kona. Unfortunately we had to come back to below zero weather at home!
