Top Floor Cozy Condo Nestled Among Tropical Kailua Kona Treetops

Every thing was as advertised and more. Wish I could have stayed longer.

Amenities were clean.

So very convenient!! Close to everything. And Dave was a great host, very communicative. You can tell they love this space and care for it deeply! We also really loved having access to the pool and hot tub! We had a great time and would stay here again.

We loved how close to Kona we were…walked everywhere! The pool and hot tub were fantastic! The condo was super clean annd so comfortable. And the owner was amazingly helpful, kind and hospitable! So was Mike, who helped us get into our locked room. We will definitely be back! Mahalo!

Was only for one night. Very nice accommodation. Wished for strong coffee in the unit (had an on-line meeting and couldn’t go looking for a coffee shop).

The unit was perfect condition for our stay. Location was is walking distance of many restaurants, bars, shops and beaches.

I never used the laundry service. I thought that the pool was too cold and the spa seemed dirty and heavily chlorinated. I missed not having a sink in the bathroom. Kitchen and bathroom shared a sink. Location was very convenient. WiFi worked; but I never figured out how to get specific TV stations. It was all sports. But it was cozy and comfortable.

bedroom area was very nice, clean and spaciousKitchen is very simple with sink and small fridge. Bathroom small but functional. Great water pressure in the shower. No bathroom sink- use the kitchen sink.

Beautifully cleverly decorated clean condo. Pretty view. Quiet. Nice pool! Fabulous location w easy walk along garden path to water and eateries. Fantastic host! So friendly and helpful with detailed info.

Great location and exactly what I was looking for.

The condo was in a great location for us - close to Kona village. It was clean and attractive. There’s only a small area for food prep, so outside of a continental breakfast, plan on eating out. The room was more than adequate for our stay, and we enjoyed our two days there.

Very relaxing and clean! Location is ideal

Beautifully, tastefully decorated! Also. Well equipped wirh anything needed. Even a little cooler. Lovely location. Close but not noisely so to restaurants, shopping via little path. From rhe 3rd floor, private lanai we were in the treetops with the birds. Just above a large pink plumeria. Could glimpse the top of a cruise ship between the palms. The pool and hot tub are open until 10pm. Sweet bonus after a day of aloha. Miss it already

We only stayed for one night, but we loved the location and how close it was to nightlife and shops. The room was as described and clean. There are no elevators, in case someone is expecting that as this is on the 3rd floor. The neighbor greeted us when we got to the apartment. Everyone was friendly! Thank you!

Great property amazing access to everything!

This was the perfect place to stay! The location can’t be beat, was walking distance to Kona shops and restaurants. Bed was comfortable and I really enjoyed the balcony. Check in and check out was easy. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect location, close to restaurants, shops and beach. We walked everywhere. The condo was sparkling clean with all needed amenities. The condo was beautifully decorated and air conditioning worked well. We loved the overall feel of the Kona Islander. We hope to return soon! The cat in the lobby was adorable and so sweet!

Check in was a breeze, clear & easy instructions. Condo was perfect size. Great air conditioner ( a must for the summer), and amazingly close to restaurants/the beach. Had a great stay and would highly recommend to anyone. Cute decor too! Felt safe as a solo female traveler. Loved the cats around the property too (:

Right next to the Farmer’s market, a breezy walk along the breakwater from my kids’ hotel, this apartment was cool and inviting. I especially enjoyed the decor and original art.

I wanted to be close to center of town and close to beach. I loved this place. The beach is just a block away. And it’s not far to walk to the pier, beaches, restaurants, shops. It’s quiet here and lush trees surround you. The geckos and birds came to visit daily on the balcony. Perfect for my weeklong getaway over the Fourth of July. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxing place that is still close to fun activities.

The place was clean. The property grounds were cute, with a lot of nature surrounding. It was also a nice surprise that it was next door to a Catholic Church. There were lots of restaurants within walking distance. I have no real complaints, but I don't think I would stay here again. It was close to the water, but not any beach that we actually would want to relax at. We would stay more north next time because that's where the beautiful beaches are. Another random quirk was that the kitchen sink & bathroom sink were the same. It was kind of awkward to have my toiletries right there as I was making sandwiches for the beach. Counter space was lacking for it being a shared spot. All in all, the place served its purpose - aka a quiet, safe place to sleep at night. I'd recommend having a rental car if you plan to stay here. My husband and I prefer to just walk places, though, so we didn't have a rental. We ended up ubering to the beach every day. Also, the weather was always sunnier more north. Communication with the owner was spot on, which was a positive!

The Kona Islander Inn is the perfect location to stay in Kona, and this place was nice. Would rent again!

We loved our stay. So close to the ocean and just steps away from all the restaurants, convenience stores and specialty shops. We enjoyed coffee on the lanai every morning, seeing and hearing the birds in the flowering trees, and watching cruise ships come and go.The air conditioner worked well and there was also a floor fan which we used at night. We could have our choice of sun and shade as we lounged at the pool which was clean and the perfect temperature to cool down in.For those with mobility issues, there are stairs to climb, as the room is on the third floor.

Constant soothing sounds of the ocean, the doves & other birds, the geckos, & Cokie frogs. The smell of plumeria, palms, and all the beautiful flora that surrounds the Doves nest. The human part: beautiful, tropical, beautiful paintings by owner, room to move around, and just enough in the kitchenette to prepare uncomplicated meals & spend more time just enjoying the Island or Chillaxing.

Great condo with central location. Stayed two nights and didn’t use our car. Everything is walking distance from this condo. Nice lanai and sitting area for morning coffee. We would stay again!

This is a great place to stay if you are into the touristy type of things. My trip was a little different than that. But the highlight of the trip were the hosts. They were very responsive and helped me to feel settled as I waited in the 1.5 hour line to pick up the rental car, which delayed my arrival. They gave me some excellent dinner recommendations, and were so helpful. Mahalo!!

My husband and I stayed 2 weeks in the KONA DOVE , , and had the most relaxing little holiday ever . This is a superb location !!! Located smack dab in the middle of everything …. Shops , eateries , food stores all within easy walking distance . Comfy bed , everything clean and maintained . Loved the decor !

After being in a small hotel room on Honolulu, we had great joy walking into this large space with a sweet kitchen area, and everything you need. It was nice to be able to walk to eat just around the corner, and I was grateful for a laundry room on sight. Everything was explained. by our host prior to arrival which was so helpful

We’ve stayed at the Kona Islander Inn many times in the past. This unit was clean and stocked with all the amenities and had an awesome view of the ocean . The communication with the owners was outstanding and they went above and beyond. Would recommend this unit to anybody Looking for that special place on Alií Dr.

Very clean and generous stocked unit on top level surrounded by tropical foliage. Stunning sunsets right from the best lanai of the entire complex! Host is very attentive and available. I absolutely LOVED my 1 month stay there - true Aloha!

Everything we needed in a comfortable and clean unit

From start to finish this experience was wonderful. The communication was thorough and prompt. The room was exactly as it looks online and the location was wonderful. Such a precious, sweet space. I especially loved sitting outside in the morning on the patio watching the sun come up. The price is fair and well with every single penny. We had an amazing time in Kona and look forward to going back.

The condo itself was very nicely decorated with unique pieces and touches that made it feel more homey and less hotel like. The location of the condo makes for easy walking to restaurants and shopping along with some beach areas. The condo felt private as the lanai didn’t face any other lanais or high traffic areas, nice peek a boo ocean view. Would highly recommend.

Good unit

Just what we needed for our two night stay in Kona. We didn't need to use the small kitchen but it was nice to have it just in case. Beach chairs and cooler came in handy. Would stay again.

We really enjoyed our trip. We were extremely close to restaurants, shopping and the beautiful ocean. Thisbwas a nice getaway.

Our stay at Dave and Therese’s condo was beautifully organized and decorated (whimsical) like my wife does for our beach house in O’ahu.. we will definitely be back! We grilled steaks at the pool/jacuzzi area and cooked meals in the electric fryer and had tons of room in the under counter refrigerator! The room is spacious for 2 adults and if you needed a porta crib and futon for babies would easily fit.. we had 2 other couples swing by for evening cocktails and there was just enough seating for all 6 of us. Just make sure that if you rent a car that you park early before the lot fills. We opted for walking the short ways around the town when we went out for dinner just to make sure we had a parking spot as we rented a convertible and didn’t want to tempt anyone to trying to rummage through the car.
