Kona Beach Estate: Oceanfront Home with Pool & Private Beach

We got married here and it was INCREDIBLE. The house is stunning and has a back house to we had a bridal house and a groomsman house for the morning getting ready! The pool was amazing the outside backyard is STUNNNING! If you are thinking about staying here absolutely go for it! It’s soooo beautiful you won’t regret it at all

Exceptional ocean-front property! Communication from Karen (Host) was proactive, asking if there were special occasions during our stay. She sent an envelope with things to do, private chefs, etc. Entering the main house, we were greeted by magnificent ocean views, extending to 2nd floor bedrooms. Plenty of room in shared spaces, bedrooms/bathrooms (master exceptionally well-appointed).We were warmly greeted by property manager, Michelle, welcomed with fruit basket, treats, goodies for our grandson, and cake for our daughter’s birthday!Michelle went above and beyond to accommodate a last-minute request for feather-free bedding: new duvets, pillows, mattress covers - all so comfortable!Large fully-equipped kitchens in both houses, a well-equiped kitchen on the lanai, and a pizza oven. Much of our time was spent on the lanai. 8 of us comfortably enjoyed dinner at the outdoor dining table. There are several seating areas, a drop-down tv by the kitchen/bar area, lounge chairs to enjoy watching Hawaiian sunsets, a hot-tub and pool. There is a small beach area between the house and ocean. If you are able to trek over some rocks, you can access the ocean to swim, snorkel, or surf. Some in our party encountered a turtle close to shore and enjoyed swimming with it. With 7 adults, 1 child, we had room to spare, with a couple of the bedrooms unused.Best property we’ve ever stayed at! Karen and Michelle helped make this a special, memorable family trip. Mahalo!

Amazing stay! Great communication and the house had everything we could need or want. The adjacent beach was a bonus. The house outdoor areas were used constantly. Thank you Karen and Michelle.

The view is amazing! House literally has everything, unbelievably well equipped from kitchen to beach toys. We had 8 adults and 3 children under 10 and we still had more room than we knew what to do with. Multiple kitchens including 2 outdoor kitchens. There really isn’t much more I can say other than “wow, just wow”!

Hi Karen, we’d like you to know how much we enjoyed your house. The location was perfect, as was the house for the twelve of us (ages 21 months and up). The communication was excellent and Michelle was a great help too. From the time we checked in, with the kind gifts left for my grandchildren, to the goodies for us all to enjoy (adults enjoyed the adult beverages too) it was greatly appreciated and just easy….which was needed after a long day of travel. By the way, Oliver’s stuffed turtle is named Kona. And, the house, oh my! The view walking through the front door was amazing. From the well-stocked kitchen (dishes galore), all paper products and soap included, to the ample seating inside and out, it was just great and very comfortable as were all the beds with plenty of linens. The outdoor kitchen and grill were very nice too. Some of us saw the volcano erupt, fished, zip-lined, had a day visit to Pearl Harbor, drove up to Mauna Kea, visited Hilo, and the beauty surrounding that town and shopped. We still had plenty of time, together, to enjoy the pool and the beach in back of the house and just listen to the beautiful waves. We all, also, went to a great luau at Royal Kona. Maybe the highlight was seeing the sunset on a boat while watching the manta rays swim. I’m not sure as there were a lot of highlights. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home! We’ve been saving and waiting to take this trip to Kona for years. It just seemed like the right time to go this year to celebrate our triplets’ graduation from college, our youngest’s from high school, and both of our moms’ 80th birthdays. Karen was very timely with her emails over this past year and always put us at ease if we had any questions. Michelle, the manager at the Kona Beach Estate, met us upon arrival with a basket full of fruit, snacks, Hawaiian Guava bread, fruit spread, wine, and champagne to celebrate. The outdoor fridge was stocked with refreshing beverages. Anything you could ever need in both kitchens was provided. Each room was meticulously appointed down to the bedding and the most comfortable beds. We all loved going to sleep and waking up with the sound of the waves. Location was key, and the Kona Beach Estate didn’t disappoint with its breathtaking views. We were able to explore the island by going to a Luau, visiting Magic Sand beach, the Black Beach, Waikoloa Beach, the volcanoes, turtle watching, and manta ray swimming. Farmers’ markets and places to eat were within walking distance. The Pier and plenty of shopping were only a couple of miles away. Sunsets and rainbows were spectacular.Karen & Michelle have provided everything possible for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. We enjoyed exploring the island even more, knowing we would return to an uplifting and inspiring home. Each family member felt celebrated we will be back. Mahalo!

We had the absolute perfect vacation at Karen's home! We were a party of 5, and each of us enjoyed our own bedroom and bathroom. The property was magnificent, the home comfortable and beautifully decorated, and stocked to perfection. We appreciated the plentiful snacks and beverages left for us, and these items were well beyond any other rental I have stayed. We spent most of our time in the pool or on the patio. It was nice being close to town, other beaches, Costco, and the grocery store. When we informed Karen that my son would be proposing to his girlfriend on this trip, she went out of her way to recommend photographers and even provided us a cute sign to use for the proposal. It was a wonderful day and she said YES!! We are also very grateful to Michelle, the property manager, who introduced us to the home and was available to us if needed during our stay.Thank you so much for a memorable stay! We hope to return to this slice of heaven!

If you want a place to just be and relax, this is it. Everything you need in one place to enjoy a very relaxing and peaceful break from the real world! Great for families.

This property was everything you hope for in a Big Island getaway! Our group of 9 (myself, my wife, 4 kids ages 5-11, and 3 grandparents) loved having this magical getaway as our “home base” on the island. After long days hiking, exploring, snorkeling, and zip lining, it felt so good to come “home” and enjoy the lanai while watching the sun set over the ocean. Our kids loved the pool, exploring the lava rock & tide pools, and snorkeling the large tidal pool just to the side of the property (great for beginners!).We enjoyed making pizzas in the outdoor oven, drinks at the outdoor kitchen/bar, family dance party’s on the lanai, and we even had a chef come one evening to cook an amazing fresh meal (highly recommended!).While you won’t find much time to spend inside since the outdoor areas are so amazing, the inside is just as enjoyable! There is plenty of room to spread out, amazing art to enjoy throughout the house, and the most comfortable beds we have ever had.This house is NOT a rental property…it’s a home. I hesitate to even write this review because I want to keep this property Kona’s best kept secret!If you’re thinking twice about the renting this home, this is your sign, BOOK IT NOW!

If you have high expectations for Kona Beach Estates, be prepared to have those expectations exceeded! What a lovely lovely escape and well worth the investment. From the introduction of having a bottle of quality red AND white wine, soda pop, water, and even beer in the refrigerator. On top of that there was a huge snack container with chips, cookies, and other delights. The home was exquisitely appointed, of the highest quality, and very private. The pool and hot tub were delightful and warm (a MUST!), and of course all imaginable pool toys and floats. There were 15 of us, 8 adults and 7 grandchildren 4 and under. Wow, all slept and played in luxury (the sheets were even ironed). The kitchen had every gadget and item for absolute gourmet preparations, everything! A fun little sandy area right off the patio to watch the grandchildren dig and play in safety and a short walk to a private beach for swimming and snorkeling. The hosts cared so much for our enjoyment beginning to end, starting with mailing us a comprehensive package of all the fun things to do on the island and staying in touch. Please don’t book the week we plan to come back!!!!

We can't say enough great things about this VRBO! It is so wonderfully located and such a beautiful place to stay. The communication with the owner and the house manager was terrific. Loved the pool and the pizza oven outside and the relaxed atmosphere inside. Thank you so much for being our hosts and allowing us to stay at such a terrific place.

We were a family of 9 coming to town for our daughters wedding. This house is truly spectacular and exceeded our expectations. The description doesn't do it justice. The 3 main house bedrooms are massive and all have onsuites with an incredible view over the ocean. The main house has a lovely eat in kitchen/ dining area with an additional huge dining area outside under the covered lanai complete with outdoor seating, bar and drop down TV. The back deck's view is breathtaking and complete with pool and hottub and grills and live herbs. The additional house on the gated property has 4 bedrooms, and its own kitchen and living room. My adult children loved the privacy of this separate house but preferred to hang out with us in the main house and enjoy the direct views of the ocean. The beds and linens were extremely comfortable. The manager Michelle was on site to greet us and provide a welcome basket and tour. We had a few small issues upon arrival and she was very attentive and fixed everything promptly. Other than wanting to buy the house we will definitely be back! We have rented houses on the big Island for years and have never enjoyed ourselves so much. This house has everything!

We were looking for a relaxing Christmas getaway and this really did the trick!Check in was great. We got a tour of the home and how to use everything. It was stocked with treats, a generous welcome basket, and drinks. The home has everything you’ll need. There were four beach chairs, three boogie boards, umbrellas and shade cover, rock shoes and snorkel gear for your time on the go. We had a in home massage therapist come by to massage all the adults. It was excellent. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Beautiful home and wonderful experience.

Perfect for family reunions

This property was absolutely perfect for our family of 11 in every way. Yes, we did fight over the rooms! The ocean sunset view is unbeatable!! We loved having easy access to the beach as it was perfect for the kids. The main home and cottage are both impeccably clean, furnished beautifully, and fully equipped with anything you might need. They seriously thought of everything, except maybe a decanter? ;) Being right on Ali'i Drive was great and nothing we wanted to do was more than 15 mins away. There's just so much to do nearby! Karen and management were incredibly accommodating, responsive, and gave wonderful recommendations on what to do during our stay. We ended up going with a private chef on her recommendation along with a private luau right on our own lanai to celebrate a big anniversary. Sure beats packing everyone up in the car to go to the nearest resort with a show!! We loved our stay here and hope to be able to return someday soon!

Our family of 13(!) stayed here for a week. (Three generations with six adults and seven kids aged 2-17.) It is so spacious and everyone was comfortable. Everything is thoughtfully laid out and fully stocked. We used the grill, pizza oven, etc. - it had everything we needed for our stay. 10/10. Would stay here again. The view and location are unbeatable.

I cannot say enough to recommend this beautiful home and our amazing hosts, Annie and Karen! Not only is the home absolutely stunning, it is stocked with everything you would need for your stay and the perfect accommodation for a large family gathering. Our hosts provided excellent, friendly communication before and after our stay and greeted us with the most thoughtful welcome basket full of local goodies! My family and I enjoyed all our meals out on the lanai and had a front row seat to sunrise and sunset views. Between the pool, hot tub, lounge chairs, and games we could have happily stayed at the house the entire trip! That said, the home is conveniently located to other local beaches and lots of cute shops and restaurants to explore. Overall we had the most incredible trip and would definitely come back to stay here again :) Mahalo!

The home is in a wonderful location, it has privacy but is also easy to get to other places to eat and shop. They did such a great job setting the home up for visitors and making sure that you were taken care of and you had what you needed. We loved staying at the house and would definitely come back!

We had the most spectacular stay here last week! Annie and Karen made us feel incredibly welcome with a basket of local goodies, a memorial lei for our mother, candy leis for the kids, and so much more. The property is absolutely stunning, and we spent nearly all our time on the lanai, soaking in the breathtaking views, playing games in the pool, and unwinding in the hot tub. The home is beautifully decorated with charming, cozy touches everywhere, and they had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Karen and Annie took extraordinary care of us before, during, and after our trip. Their attention to detail is truly out of this world. We would have been over the moon to never leave the property during our stay! We couldn’t recommend this property more highly – it’s a true slice of paradise!

I can’t say enough incredible things about the property. The lava rock formations out in front of the home are absolutely to die for providing an amazing texture to the incredible unmatched ocean view. The home was very very well appointed with everything you could possibly need to have a comfortable stay. Unlike some rentals, all of the beds were very comfortable, which is extremely important to me. Both Karen and Annie were gracious and wonderful hosts. We definitely will come again.

This beautiful house definitely exceeded any of our expectations, we were blown away by this spacious home situated directly on the water. Our favorite part was drinking Kona coffee in the morning watching the ocean for hours. The kitchen was stocked with things we would need to cook, which was a nice touch. The master and junior master have unbelievable views of the beach/ocean. We couldn’t recommend this house enough, the memories made here will always be cherished by my family and I!

This is the perfect place , Karen is an excellent host making sure you need for nothing . From original contact, to being accommodating during check out . Idilicd sunsets with whales breaching and turtles on the beach a couple of steps away. I will recommend this Kona estate every time

Absolute beautiful property! Excellent location and the property is even better than the photos. We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone who is either a first time or repeat visitor to the Big Island. Property manager and owner were very accessible, although we never needed them because the property was perfect.

A great home in a great location. Jill, the property manager was excellent. Had a couple questions early in our stay and she responded immediately with answers. Outdoor bar with tv was great for football weekend. Steps to the ocean. Easy walk into town for food / shopping / etc. easily the best place I’ve stayed on the Big Island after a number of visits. Thanks to our host Karen for mailing such a fantastic spot available.
