Property Overview

Welcome to King Palm Suite at Palm Hale
The King Palm suite at Palm Hale is a spacious second-floor unit that offers stunning ocean views.
Featuring one King bed in the bedroom and an additional twin bed in an extra room off the living area, this suite is perfect for couples or small groups. Enjoy open-air Hawaiian living with high ceilings and ocean vistas from every room. This suite has been a favorite among our returning guests for years, and the pictures simply don't do the view justice.
The suite includes a living room, dining area, desk space, and a well-equipped kitchen with full-size fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, coffee grinder for the famous Kona coffee, cable box, smart TV, Roku, and high-speed Wi-Fi. There's also a coin-operated washer and dryer in the entryway. Outside, you'll find a picnic table and BBQ area with sail shades for al fresco dining.
Ample off-street parking is available behind the home, which is perfectly situated to catch the ocean breezes and the soothing sound of waves crashing on the shoreline at night. Note: one living room wall is open at the top to allow for airflow to the shared entryway and stairs.
Located off the popular oceanfront Ali'i Drive, we're just a stone's throw from the ocean. Kahalu'u Beach right down the street (great for snorkeling) and Magic Sands Beach right up the street, both walking distance. Relax on the local beaches and fall asleep to the sound of the waves. There are also two transit systems on Ali'i Drive for easy access. A short drive will take you to Keauhou Shopping Center, which offers a grocery store, drug store, post office, restaurants, movie theater, and a Saturday morning farmers market. Heading north, you'll find downtown Kona just five minutes away, with its oceanfront shopping, restaurants, historical sites, and luaus.
Whether you want to unwind or stay active, the island has something for everyone. Enjoy water sports like swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, kayaking, and big game fishing. Explore the island's many sights, including the Mauna Kea observatory, Place of Refuge, coffee farms, macadamia nut farms, volcanoes, lava tubes, waterfalls, and historical sites of ancient Hawaiian royalty. The island boasts some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets you'll ever see – keep an eye out for the green flash as the sun dips below the horizon.
We adhere to a good neighbor policy, with quiet hours from 9 PM to 8 AM. Please ensure that noise during these hours does not disturb adjacent neighbors. Smoking is not permitted on the property.

This stay well exceeded our expectations. One thing that stands out is the hosts genuine enjoyment of creating an experience for guests. There is an overall feeling of giving and sharing embodying the Hawaiian aloha. The unit itself was fantastic. Well maintained and very clean but also well stocked to meet any need. The kitchen in particular was unusually convenient compared to other rentals I’ve stayed. Location is very convenient to some of the most celebrated beaches like Magic Sands. Only a short distance to shopping and entertainment.

One of the most delightful places I've ever stayed, SO special! The ocean views and breezes were epic!! Isaac was a wonderful host- friendly, hospitable, accommodating, excellent communication...It was also one of the cleanest rentals I've ever stayed in, tastefully decorated, comfortable. Was definitely worth a bit of road noise for all of the magical island experience!!Didn't want to leave and hope to come backMahalo nui, Isaac!!!

Easy access and parking, not super walkable but not a big deal as most things are driving distance anyways. lots of nature sounds and birds at night which was not a problem for us but if you need total quiet to sleep there are earplugs.

We had a wonderful week here. The unit is as pictured and very comfortable. It is open air (no AC) but we weren’t too hot due to the sea breeze. Super close to multiple great beaches. Thanks!!

An amazing open air unit with floor to ceiling screened windows with shutters which makes for beautiful ocean views, cool breeze, and unique sounds of nature. Great location, had everything we needed and more!

This was our second stay at this home. Probably the best-equipped place we've ever rented. Ideal location. Highly recommend unless you seek a noiseless place. Sound of road and other guests is noticeable but not an issue for us.

The suite we stayed in was really nice - open air feeling with great views. The location is away from much of the touristy-stuff, but close enough you can Uber easily to nearby points of interest. If you have a rental car, the parking area is very private and spacious. The host was very accommodating. It was nice to have an onsite washer and dryer. And I was impressed to find lots of loaner items available - beach chairs, snorkeling gear - the works. I would definitely go back.

With the absence of windows and only screens the sounds of the birds in the morning was delightful. The car noise usually calmed down after 8 pm and there was an occasional vroom noise. You can see the ocean over the tree tops and the walk to the beaches is easy although the beaches are not very swimming friendly with all the lava rock. There are others staying in the building and there was just a little noise. The parking lot in the back was great because parking is hard to find on the narrow streets. The place was stocked well and beautiful.

We very much enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again! The lovely high ceilings and shuttered/screened windows all around give such an open, breezy feel. No AC required and the sound of the waves make for great sleeping too. A wonderfully spacious place for a couple but also great for a family with a child. Isaac is a gracious and very responsive host.

We loved our stay! Location was ideal- short walks both directions to wonderful beaches. Island breezes and sunsets were perfect from the condo. Everything we needed was included and we were very comfortable the entire time. We enjoyed visiting the chickens and ducks in the backyard.

Overall, my wife & I are very pleased with the property/price we paid for our stay. We stayed 8 nights total. First, all the open air shutters are beautiful! Plus they really do allow tons of air movement through the unit if you will leave them open. Know that you will hear more outside noises than you’re used to as this (like many other homes) is an open air building with no AC. Secondly, the space is great! The bed was nice and it was obvious it was well taken care of. Isaac also provide beach towels, chairs, coolers, snorkel gear etc for your use so you can leave all of that at home. Parking is plentiful and it’s secluded with cameras which is a great touch as well. Our only complain is the noise level in the unit. I looked over the post again to be sure & didn’t see it said anywhere so I’ll share it here. You can close the doors to the bedroom to have that & the bathroom completely private, but the rest of the house is not. Above the door that you come into there is a giant open space in the wall where on the other side is the main stairs everyone uses, as well as laundry machines etc. Every sound everyone made was heard loud and clear in our unit/vice versa. There were multiple times we were woken up because of the sounds coming from the living room (but really was from the stairs) and I had to investigate to make sure no one was in the house with us. I think this should be clearly stated in the listing so people know and can make an informed decision. 8/10 overall.

We loved the open air concept of the apartment. It’s hot in Kona and the open air really helped to cool down the apartment in the evening. We would stay here again if we get the opportunity.

Very spacious and views of ocean. Private parking and close to 2 beaches. Shopping and dining areas within a short drive. Would definitely stay here again. Great place!

We loved the openness and floor to!Ceiling views. There was a full kitchen and semi 2nd room. Good parking and super close to beach. Good sized space. Didn’t love the creaky stairs. Close neighbor buzz sawed and shoveled loudly early (before 8am) most mornings and no windows to shut out noise. Road noise.
