The Neighborhood:
For couples, North Kihei offers a softer-paced South Maui base. Sugar Beach is made for long walks and easy swims, while Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge provides a quieter outing away from the shoreline. Maalaea Harbor and Maui Ocean Center are nearby for an afternoon plan. South Kihei adds more dining, coffee, and the beach scene around Kamaole Beach Park III, all an easy drive from this waterfront side of town.
Getting Around:
Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.

PERFECT! Clean and comfy unit with pool and beach just steps away. Unit has everything we needed and more.
We love Sugar Beach and this condo gives you the perfect view while sitting on the lanai.
Beautiful location and views from 214. Condo was perfect for our week long stay. Great sunsets. Short drive to restaurants. Saw whale activity with the binoculars provided
Great beach view. Easy access to property on second floor, near elevator and parking. Loved 2nd floor vs being on ground floor for views. Close to pool, but not loud. Extra window on side, added lots of light to main room.

Great property, but there is almost no shade at the pool, which made relaxing there and reading difficult. The view from our porch was great. Unfortunately, our entry code did not work. It took maybe a half hour, from calling the 800 #, to getting in touch with the local contact, to reaching out to the Sugar Bay manager, before we could get a resolution. It was a stressful start.
