Amazing Ocean View 2BR 2Bath with Modern AC. Beautifully Upgraded. KKSR 9-305

Fantastic spot just south of Kailua-Kona proper! Great views, great place, looked exactly like the pictures and communication with hosts was great! The unit was clean, comfortable and well-appointed with all the things you might want/appreciate! There is a small shopping center very close-by with coffee, bookstore, a few restaurants and a Longs Drugs (handy for last-minute stuff like insect spray, more sunblock, the occasional food item, etc...). Lanai in the AM for coffee/breakfast and PM sunsets was the BEST! The property had a nice pool and tennis courts that we used a few times when not exploring, but they were not overrun as can happen with a "resort". This is a great place to explore the "big" island from the leeward/west side of the island. Easy drives to many beach spots for snorkeling, water activities and a slightly longer drive to the beaches in the north (sandy beaches) for some relaxation. A longer drive takes you to Volcano National Park and Hilo. A beautiful spot - would love to stay again!

Beautiful condo and grounds. Pool was awesome, safe, secure area. Plenty of seating inside and out of condo, comfy beds, stocked kitchen, grills available around pool and under the shelter right across from the condo building. A/c for comfort when needed, large balcony. We loved this condo and area!!!

We enjoyed our stay overall. The condo felt spacious for us (two people) and was open and cheerful. The vaulted ceiling in the main space allowed for a feeling of openness. The condo was well-appointed and had helpful supplies to make use of when going to the beach. My favorite part of the condo was the amazing balcony. It is large with ample seating and was an incredibly relaxing place to sit and have breakfast, read a book, and watch the sunset in the evenings.The host was responsive when we arrived and had concerns about the cleanliness of the condo. He arranged for the housekeepers to come out and address our concerns at a time that worked with our schedule.Other than that, the bedroom near the front door had a musty smell. We tried to air it out as best we could to mitigate that.The a/c seemed to work very well and space was overall very comfortable. The grounds of the property of neat and well-maintained. While we didn't end up using the pool, it looked very nice and relaxing.

We had a wonderful time staying at this location on the Big Island. It was close in proximity to a wonderful snorkel beach and if you love big waves, there is a great sandy beach near by.Dennis & Maria were incredible hosts and were incredibly quick to respond if we needed anything at all. I also appreciated them checking in to see if we needed anything during our stay.The home is very clean and we had all the amenities that we needed. Our only hope would have been to have beach chairs vs camping chairs for the beach. The patio was our favorite spot to start the day, watch the sunset and relax after a full day of adventure. I highly recommend this home to anyone staying on the Big Island.

This place was fantastic—exactly what you hope for in a VRBO. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, including paper products, which made things really easy for our group.We had five people and there were plenty of bath towels and washcloths, plus beach towels for everyone, which was a huge plus. The beds were comfortable, and the AC units worked great—definitely appreciated after being out in the heat.The location and amenities really stood out. It’s a short walk to a nice sandy beach, and the heated pool was perfect for relaxing at the end of the day.Overall, we had a great stay and would absolutely book here again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

The property exceeded our expectations on so many levels. Beautiful and clean…which you would expect…however, they had absolutely EVERYTHING you could need for an adventure filled week on the Big Island. The attention to detail is what makes this property a stand out.

This was a lovely property that me and my family really enjoyed. We cooked and ate most of our meals here and the kitchen had all of the cookware and tableware we needed. They had a closet full of supplies from beach towels to water shoes to boogie boards, making things quite easy. The washer and dryer in the unit was helpful! The complex and surrounding area was very nice with swimming and pickleball l, giving the kids extra things to do. The beds were comfortable, which was nice after our busy days around the island. The air conditioning was quite refreshing given the humidity during the overcast days. A clean and cozy place to enjoy each day!!

The stay was good no complaints. Pool was fine. Pay for ocean view was okay u can see it i guess. Other than that all was good.

We have been staying at KKSRC for the past 30 years and this condo did not disappoint. The condo has been updated with new bathrooms and flooring since the photos were taken. This was an excellent upgrade. We totally enjoyed our 6 weeks in this condo and would love to stay here in the future. KKSRC is an excellent complex.

This is a fabulous property in a well kept condo community. The unit was well equipped, spacious, and the air conditioning was appreciated. Having three TV’s was awesome since one was tuned to football. Dennis was a great host, and hopefully we can come back next year,

Amenities are great, lots of nice little extras here. Snorkeling gear, beach gear, well supplied kitchen plenty of towels, just a real comfy place to enjoy a Hawaiian vacation...thank you.

The property was as expected. Lots of room and tastefully decorated. The location was great. The area was clean and felt safe.

We spend Thanksgiving break at this place. It was wonderful. It looked exactly like the pictures and we loved how modern and clean this place was. Well furnished and maintained. It’s close to everything. The amenity of the property was great. We got to play pickle ball with the paddles provided by the owner. We even watched sunset from the property. We truly loved this place.

Everything was was perfect.

Excellent communication with owner. Excellent amenities-beach chairs, umbrella, snorkeling gear, beach shoes, kids sand toys etc The only negative is the mattress on both beds in the 2nd bedroom need replaced. There is an egg crate to mask both beds worn mattresses. When you are away and on vacation, the 2 most important factors are cleanliness and comfort of the beds, (linens, pillows, mattress). The owner really needs to replace the mattresses in this VRBO.

The condo was perfect. A/C and ceiling fans in each room, beautiful view, washer & dryer, parking was pretty close. Other than no elevator, the property is perfect (and honestly, the stairs were only an inconvenience carrying our luggage up the first day). The property and condo were pristine. The entire condo was stocked with everything we needed, as a lot of items were left behind by others, which was fabulous! I would definitely stay here again. The condo was great! Very spacious, with many amenities. Clean, great pool, good location. Nice and comfortable beds, great washer and dryer.

I have nothing but good reviews for this condo. It was clean, and comfy. Beds were very comfortable. The view was great! Every morning we enjoyed our coffee outside watching the sunrise. We did notice the master bathroom shower was not upgraded like the other bathrooms shower but it was still clean and taken care of. Being in Hawaii, you are not inside much but I still looked forward to the comfort of this place at the end of the day!

We plan to stay again! Fantastic communication, pictures are accurate and the sunsets are better than you can imagine! Conveniently located, while also being in a private gated community. The pool is fantastic for little ones and the pickleball courts are SO FUN!

The condo/resort was truly amazing. My family enjoyed the pickle ball courts quite a lot. The beach equipment available in the room came in very handy and we were very thankful that it was available to us.

The condo is very nice and had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. The grounds are gorgeous and we enjoyed the pool area and nearby beach. It was easy to communicate with Dennis and Maria. We highly recommend their place!

We have been staying at KKSRC over 30 years in a timeshare and were fortunate to discover this condo on VRBO to continue a tradition. Great location and facilities.

The property is situated in a great location—perfect if you are planning on experiencing the manta ray snorkling/dive excursion and/or golf at the Kona Country Club. It was clean and beautifully furnished. We loved the view of the ocean from the pool and easy access to the beach. Would definitely stay again!

This is a wonderful condo spacious and well equipped. It just needs some updating. The deck is huge but the rocker chair needs replacement as well as the pillows. Perhaps 2 rocker chairs to go with the love seat to create seating for 4. The carpet throughout is getting old and not in line with tropical decore. Beds far too soft for us. Perhaps better mattresses needed. Loved the resort amenities. Dennis gets 10 out of 10 as a conscientious host. We know he will deal with these issues. Rod and Betty

Not as updated as other units in this building we had stayed in previously, and this unit was much higher priced also, so we expected more, not less. Too much owners items in bedroom closets left no room to hang clothes. Kitchen not well equipped to include no ice maker. More lighting needed in kitchen & dining areas.

We felt SO at home in this beautiful, clean, well stocked & comfortable home. I own a cleaning company so it’s hard to impress me normally. We were all impressed and felt this home lacked nothing. We all wished we had chosen this home for our entire stay instead of starting at a different location. We felt like we were staying with family. There were so many beach toys that were a great asset including beach chairs!We definitely hope to come again.

The space was lovely and updated. I appreciated the refrigerator was stocked when we arrived. That was helpful.

We enjoyed our stay here. We did have an issue with the AC when we got there and Denis was right on it and had it fixed that same day. The cleaning wasn’t the best but all in all a great stay!

Our first trip to Hawaii did not disappoint! The views from inside with the curtains open and sitting on the lanai were amazing! Dennis has top notch communication. The stairs weren’t bad to walk up and down, having A/C more than makes up for walking up stairs. The grocery store and shopping center with a few restaurants is about 3 min away, so convenient. Not to mentions we were somewhere close to 15 min from shopping and a lot of good restaurants. Great location, very clean, beach chairs and toys, great host. Highly recommend!

We loved this place. We loved the communication with Dennis about things that were happening around the condo. The amenities were awesome. From the Lanai you get the best sunsets.

Fabulous place, exactly as owners described, actually it exceeded expectations. We would definitely stay here again for our next trip to paradise which will hopefully be soon!

Absolutely amazing host! The place was not only perfectly clean, but everything was thought of as far as what you would need on a stay. The details were fascinating. The communication was above and beyond.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay in this condo. Communication with the owner was excellent. The grounds are immaculate and well groomed. Gated access and plenty of amenities on site. The condo was very clean and well stocked. Very spacious and comfortable. I think we had assumed the ocean would be a bit closer based on the pictures, you do see the ocean, and the sunset from the lanai is stunning, however it is quite a ways away. Definitely hear more of the road traffic than waves. We both found the mattresses to be very soft, but otherwise we were very very happy with the location and condition of the unit. AC worked great, lots of beach items available, linens were excellent, the lanai is huge and a great place to relax or entertain. Would definitely recommend this rental and the host was among the best I have ever dealt with.

Pleasant stay; great views and access to activities

The most unbelievable views from this unit!! The condo contained so many luxury items!!! Pool towels, snorkel gear, tennis and pickle ball paddies and balls, coolers, beach toys and anything you could possibly need for a vacation!! The kitchen was equipped with everything a cook could ask for.. including spices, oils, kitchen gadgets, and cookware! Thank you for the best vaca!! Oh and the neighbors playing pickle ball.. the absolute sweetest!!

This condo and the property grounds were fantastic! The space was great and our highlight was eating meals on the balcony. We enjoyed the tennis, pickleball, and swimming pool. You can walk to the beach next door and watch beautiful sunsets. The location was great for our first visit to the Big Island because it allowed to visit many different locations. We drove to Volcanoes national park and Hilo in one big day trip and also went to beaches north of Kona which were great for the kids.

Well appointed condo. Had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Showing it's age a wee bit in the bathrooms, however, this is minor. LOVED the wrap around veranda and windows with the beautiful views, and the vaulted ceilings with exposed wood! We struggled a bit to find the wifi password, but after getting hold of vrbo they were able to help us out. Might be a good idea for the host to include a booklet or signage with this information for easy reference (especially for jet lagged travelers). Location was great with a grocery store just up the hill and short walks to the shoreline with amazing views. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would book it again.

We enjoyed our weeks in this condo. The owners were quick to respond when we had a question. It is comfortably furnished; bright and cheery. There is a beach to relax on and for little children to play in shallow water. The location is near a local island style small shopping area that includes: grocery store, restaurants, Saturday produce market, movie theater, book store, live music and island dancers on some Friday nights. We would definitely return!

We could not have asked for a more beautiful property for our stay! Dennis and Maria's condo was spotless, fully equipped and in an absolutely beautiful location! Nice and quiet, friendly people in the complex, easy access to everything we wanted. Thank you so much for making our stay so pleasurable and comfortable! We'll be back!
