Caroline and Scott are amazing hosts! The cabin is surrounded by beautiful tropical greenery. We explored the island and were always able to return to this little piece of tranquility. We will return!
The Kaloko mountain cabin was the Hawaiian vacation we’ve been dreaming about. Walking distance from Mountain Thunder coffee plantation and the Kona Cloud Forest Sanctuary. Caroline and Scott are warm, welcoming hosts. This was our first trip to the Big Island, but it won’t be our last!
So lovely. Scott and Caroline were super welcoming. The cabin is lovely - very peaceful and very comfortable.Great location too.
gorgeous, peaceful and wonderful gardens
Adorable little cabin in the hills of Kona. A great place to cool down after a hot day in town. You feel like you are in your own private jungle. The hot tub was so relaxing after a day of frolicking in the volcano. We are aleady planning a return trip.
My daughter an I loved every minute it was just what we imaged secluded but yet close to everything we needed. Caroline is an awesome hostess gave us great ideas of places to see and places to eat. Highly recommend
Three nights up above the Kona Perfect spot for us
Caroline is the perfect host! Everything clean, cozy and comfortable. Up in the hills, the evenings were cool, but we had layers of blankets and even an electric blanket and space-heater. We had a fully stocked kitchen, beach towels, and the hot tube was at the perfect temperature! We would definitely stay here again!
Didn’t want to leave. Everything about the home was perfect! We loved it. The cooler mountain location, the quietness, the remote location it was all wonderful. Can’t wait to go back. All the amenities were perfect. Beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler everything you would need to enjoy the beach and traveling around the island.
We enjoyed our stay here immensely. Mahalo!
Staying at Carson's Kaloko Mountain Cabin was such a relaxing and unique experience! The cabin is tucked away in this beautiful cloud forest above Kona, and it feels like a total escape from the busy world. It had everything we needed—fully stocked kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and the best part: the hot tub surrounded by lush greenery. Waking up to the sound of birds and occasionally spotting some chickens or sheep wandering around was such a treat. The cooler mountain air was super refreshing compared to the heat down by the beaches, and we spent so much time just hanging out on the porch enjoying the peaceful vibe. Even though it feels secluded, it’s only a short drive to Kona town and the beaches, so it’s super easy to get around. The hosts, Caroline and Scott, were awesome—super friendly and quick to help with anything we needed. We loved coming back to the cabin after a day of exploring and just chilling in the hot tub or cozying up inside. It’s such a special spot, and we’d absolutely stay there again. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a chill, off-the-beaten-path getaway!
We had a great time scuba diving all week and enjoyed the front porch had plenty of room to rinse off our gear and hang it.
We liked it a lot but the temperature in the hot tub dropped And we could only use it once.
We enjoyed our stay. Scott and Caroline are delightful hosts. We really enjoyed their chickens visiting us. The hot tub was relaxing after a day of exploring.
