Family and friends very much enjoyed our stay. Unique place with a memorable character. Very private with lots of space for everyone.
From the first point of contact with Marji to our extended check-out time, Marji was incredibly accommodating and provided very detailed information about her home and the surrounding areas to help us plan a fantastic annual family trip. Her home was just stunning and provided every comfort and luxury. Needless to say, the views were like no other.... just breathtaking! We felt spoiled every minute. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us and we hope to visit again soon!
We had a great time at Marji’s property: it was a wonderful place for our adult family and family friends to catch up and relax! Fantastic pool, wonderful views, and two comfortable, luxurious primary suites. The other two bedrooms—the not-en-suite queen and the studio were comfortable and spacious but less luxe. The kitchen was great for entertaining and cooking in, and we really appreciated how responsive both Marji and her manager Amy were!
We have stayed here several times over the last few years. Always our first choice. This is a unique property in that it combines a great location to activities and restaurants, with a beautiful home, and with an enormous private yard right on the ocean with a pool, gazebo, hammocks and crashing waves. I do not know of another property that did not "sell" their backyard to some developer. This property is truly unique. The local property manager is a gem - friendly and very responsive. We had an issue with the coffee maker the first morning, we notified the property manager at 6 am, and we had a new coffee maker by 9:30 (after the stores opened)! We are already planning our next visit...
We had a wonderful 7-night stay in the Big Island. This was a great home base highlighted by the beachfront backyard. It was great spending time out there watching the waves out playing catch with the kids. The home is also centrally located, about 5-10 minutes from a number of shoppes, grocery stores and restaurants. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away.
Beautiful place to stay with stunning view.
This property exceeded all expectations! The photos do not do it justice with how beautiful it is. The property not only had gorgeous views, it had plenty of space to fit our group of 10, it was incredibly stocked with everything one would need for a comfortable stay and the location was ideal. The property manager was very responsive to any and all questions and showed us everything upon arrival. I would HIGHLY recommend this property. We already miss the house and the views.
We had a beautiful time, the house is amazing and so easy to check in and out...the manager was so cooperative and even let us have a late check out to make a red-eye home! Perfect family vacation for the 9 of us! Mahalo!
As advertised
This was our fifth stay at this property. Every stay ends with discussion about when to come next! The owner and the local manager are wonderful - communicative and definitely convey the spirit of aloha. A five star experience, but with the privacy of a luxurious Hawaii style house, right on the ocean.
Perfect family friendly location
We've stayed at this property a few times now, but this was our first stay since the pandemic. New owners since our previous stay and although the property was already fantastic, they've found a few tweaks and improvements to make things even better. As other reviews have pointed out, as good as the photos are they really do not do it justice. There is simply nothing negative to say about this place. The location is stunning, watching sunsets from the garden wall is jaw-dropping. The garden is immaculate, a very generous size, and very private. The house is finished to a very high standard and the owners have thought of pretty much everything you may need while enjoying your stay. If you need a definitive example of perfection done right, just stay at this property. There is absolutely nothing I can say - however trivial - that is anything less than 10/10 Sitting in the hammock, with a morning coffee and an unobstructed view of whales breaching just a few hundred yards away........things don't get much better than that. We'll be coming back (again) - staying anywhere else on the island would feel like a huge downgrade.
