Beautiful fully stocked house. Impeccably clean. Everything worked. We knew the neighborhood before we came so no surprises. No sounds except for airplanes and helicopters overhead. The interior design and decor were beautiful and stylish to every detail. And the service from the property manager was world class. I was not surprised that they had 5-star hotel experience because that's how our stay felt. We had originally booked a one month stay but extended it another 10 days because we were so happy and comfortable here.We have made many trips to Hawaii over the years but this was by far the most memorable. A big part of it was the home's location in a great residential neighborhood that feels like a "real" neighborhood and not just a collection of vacation homes. The neighbors are friendly and seem to know each other. Kids practice volleyball and soccer in the park nearby. And all the things we needed for day-to-day life, from Whole Foods to the drugstore and basic shopping were just a quick and easy 5-minute drive down the road to Kahala Mall. Yes, Waikiki and all its restaurants and activities are just around Diamond Head but the home feels a world away if you want peace.For those days we wanted a "resort feel" we just headed to the Kahala Hotel, a few-minutes-drive down a quiet road, where we had lunch at the oceanfront restaurant and spent time with the kids visiting the dolphin lagoon and playing on the beach. On this trip, for the first time, it felt like we were living in Hawaii rather than just visiting as a tourist. Yet we had all the tourist activities within arm's reach. We are already looking at the calendar to see when we can come back. Excellent stay!
