What a gem! Oceanfront condo with amazing views. I could have sat on the lanai all day watching the turtles come in & out and all the colorful fish that were coming in with the waves! Condo was very clean and organized. Everything you needed in the kitchen and more. All the amenities you can think of were provided. Even a bandaid when I needed one. Great location and walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Welcoming treats were a pleasant surprise! The hosts were easy to communicate with. Check in and out was an easy process. I highly recommend staying here. I know I will again!

The host definitely made us feel at home with the Christmas decorations, abundance of food and fruit, and all the beach equipment.

Where to begin...from the moment you step into the condo, not only does the view take your breath away but the warm welcome gift of fruits and goodies as well as the beautiful style of decor is so welcoming. The condo was spotless and if you so desire, you could cook to your heart's content as there are all sorts of gadgets including a bread machine, all in matching teal color! The hosts' communication was very good via VRBO website or by text. All in all, a wonderful and relaxing place to kick back and relax. Thank you to our hosts', Steven & Jenni

What a fantastic property! This was our first year without our adult children for Thanksgiving and our first extended stay on the “Big Island”! It was a much needed rest from our crazy worlds. We loved the Lāna’i in the mornings and evenings (look for all the fish & turtles), the walking distance to downtown (we never ate at the same place twice), and the central location to either explore north or south. We even got to see Kilauea active lava flow before episode 37.

Bottom line up front: for 2 people, we'd strongly consider staying here, again. The ocean view was fantastic and the location very good to shops and such. The central AC in this unit didn't work, but they provided two portable units that were adequate. The bathroom door is a bit hard to close if you are fairly large in size. The host provided a very nice starter kit of fruits and coffee, giving you some time to plan your days. Did I mention the view was fantastic?

The unit was very well stocked for any need you may have. It is within walking distance to great restaurants and shops. The view was amazing and the sunsets never disappointed. The host was most generous with their thoughtful gifts to celebrate our anniversary.

Excellent experience! The other reviews were very accurate. The Lees have done a great job creating a clean, welcoming, lovely oceanfront condo in Kona. There are extra amenities you cannot get at a resort like plenty of towels, beach equipment, great coffee, ice maker and puzzles and games. The lanai was one of favorite places to hang out during our trip. We felt safe and well taken care of. Thank you both!! We are already looking forward to coming back and staying again!

It has everything you need and more. There was a bowl of Island fruits and wine on the counter when we arrived. The sound of the ocean and the reef fish below the lanai are unbeatable. We were able to walk to restaurants and a nearby snorkel beach. A cool place for 2 in a great location. The hosts, Steven Lee and Jenni, are the best. Mahalo!

The unit was a dream! Very walkable location to the downtown shops and restaurants, well-stocked with everything we needed, extremely comfortable and loved hearing the sound of the waves crash on the rocks!

One can not get any closer to the ocean. We could seedozens of yellow tang fish and turtles from the 4th floor balcony.The owners have tried to anticipate their guests every need. The coffee and fruit were greatly appreciated.Also, there was plenty of beach gear.The unit was spotless.We would return anytime!

The property was beautiful. The decor was gorgeous and very fitting for the location. The special touches for our 40th anniversary was deeply appreciated. We enjoyed the chilled glasses with the Champaign while wearing our leis. The fresh fruit and treats were delicious, especially for our first night. The view was breath taking. We saw several turtles every day, along with a variety of so many fish! We loved every moment. Thank you!

Our Kona condo was very nice and comfortable and right on the water. Easy walk to shopping and restaurants. This truly is a perfect spot!

Our hosts were pleasant and communicative. They obviously take ownship pride in their unit. Very well stocked kitchen, linnens and watersport gear. We have stayed in different units in this building many times. This is our favorite unit in the last 7 years!

Lived up to billing, well appointed and clean. Great to be situated over the black rocks with the surf crashing in while watching a beautiful sunset.

Honu Hideaway was amazing. This was a sister vacation for my sister’s 60th birthday. We arrived to a beautiful birthday flower arrangement, a fruit bowl, and several other goodies. The view is amazing! We spent much of our time on the balcony. The inside is perfectly decorated and comfy. No detail too small. I also appreciated the toiletries since my luggage didn’t arrive for several days. Perfection! We hated to leave!

Kailua Kona condo over crashing waves made our stay enjoyable. Condo is clean and decorated in coastal theme. Loved the thick turtle towels! We appreciated the owner provided coffee, fruit, Hawaiian cookies and chocolates. Location is great for walking to restaurants and shops. Condo on 4th floor (top) with elevator. Kitchen supplied with plates and silverware for us to make our breakfasts which we enjoyed on the outdoor patio.

Wow! What a great property! Very nice condo, with plenty of room, very comfortable and a wonderful lanai to soak in the sun, ocean sounds and views, all immediately above the water! Only a few minute walk to town center, restaurants, bars, retail! Great pool to relax by and quiet. No road noises, only ocean surf. Great host by the way! Will stay again! Thanks!

The view from the balcony is amazing. We had the community pool to ourselves most morning. There’s a small beach a five min walk away. Restaurants and bars could not be closer. All around a perfect vacation m. Thank you!

Everything about this condo was great. The lanai is right on the ocean with waves crashing below you. The location is a few minutes walk from some great restaurants (Hugo’s, on the rocks, Fosters Kitchen) but away from the busier and more touristy north end of town. There is a beautiful tennis center across the street where you can rent a court for 15. The kitchen is well stocked so we were able to cook a couple of meals, and the hosts left some delicious local goodies for us. We would definitely stay again whe we are back in Kona.

We had the most restful vacation that we have had in years. The condo was the best. Best location and amazing weather. Our hosts were very responsive to all of our needs. Thank you!

If you want a place to stay to relax and have access to so many wonderful adventures this is the place to stay. It is like staying in a top notch hotel with amazing views of the ocean. The condo is beautiful and filled with all the things you need to make your stay feel like your home away from home. The pictures don’t do it justice.

Highly recommend! Steven was a wonderful host, helping us with numerous suggestions about restaurants and adventures. His apartment is well decorated and appointed so you can cook full meals. Excellent location to downtown Kailua-Kona, 5 minute easy walk to restaurants and shops. We would absolutely go back.

This is a gem. We will be back. Clean, well maintained, extremely well decorated unit. Everything provided- even complimentary Kona coffee. Beach towels, chairs, and cooler provided. They had boogie boards, but we did not use. Very comfortable king bed with high quality linens. Oceanfront with views of. Reef and beautiful fish. Walk to Honi beach.

Condo was exactly as advertised. The view is spectacular. The condo itself is nicely updated. The hosts thought of everything you might need for a stay on an island. Absolutely perfect!

The perfect getaway for our anniversary trip! The condo was decorated to ensure a calm relaxing beach vibe. The bed was super comfortable, there were beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boards supplied. We entered to Hawaiian music playing and a sweet note from Steve and Jenni. The lanai was wonderful to hear the waves and watch fish and turtles! And the location was perfect for walking to restaurants and shopping! Highly recommended and would stay here again!!!

This property is decorated so perfectly for a beach getaway. They have everything you need and more. They left a bowl of Island fruits for us to arrive to. The sound of the ocean being right below you is unbeatable. The location was spot on for being close to so many different forms of entertainment. We were able to walk to so many of our activities and restaurants. If you are looking for a nice place for 2 in a great location then this is the place for you.

This gem of a condo on the Kona coast is the perfect place to call home for a vacation stay! It is super conveniently located, very near great restaurants and shops.. although no need to go much further than Huggo’s… exactly as pictured and so much more! These hosts truly go the extra mile to make your stay really comfortable and enjoyable. From the stunning views, fully furnished accommodations, and all the beach, kitchen and vacation amenities you’ll need… this condo was 5 star all the way, from booking through check out! We absolutely loved our stay here and cannot recommend it highly enough!!

Perfect location as a base for adventures. Condo was very quiet, clean, and comfortable with an amazing view. Everything was seamless. Owners are next-level in terms of attention to detail: From the welcome treats to beach supplies, this place anticipated and provided every need (and want), and much more! ...Maybe just remember to bring $4 in quarters for laundry - change is hard to find these days ;)

The condo was beautifully decorated and had everything needed for a truly comfortable and enjoyable stay! The Hawaiian music playing when we opened the door was such a nice touch. There was a beautiful welcome basket full of fresh fruit and treats which we enjoyed immensely. The location was ideal and we were able to walk to many restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here while on the big island!

I spent hours searching online for our Hawaiian vacation. I wanted something with an ocean view. Boy did I get it! This condo is right over the water with fabulous views and a lovely balcony to sit out in the evenings enjoying a glass of wine while watching the sunset. I absolutely loved the decor of the condo - all turquoise and aqua -everything an ocean theme. I am a huge turtle lover and there were sea turtles everywhere! The kitchen is very well outfitted with everything you could need. Especially enjoyed their new ice making machine. The owners left a welcome fruit basket which was a nice touch. There are washer/dryers on the same floor and it was never busy. There is a small swimming pool and I swam almost every morning and had the pool to myself. The complex is very quiet. There are several restaurants within walking distance. You can walk into town but it's a bit of hike if you have problems walking as my husband does. It was lovely at night falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing over the rocks. Steve was in contact quite a few times with my husband and answered all his questions very quickly. Would definitely recommend this property. Thanks Steve and Jenny for a lovely stay.

My husband and I went to Kailua-Kona for a relaxing vacation in warm temps and we were not disappointed. The condo was exactly as it looked in the pictures, but the pictures didn’t show how well stocked the condo is. Our hosts have thought of everything anyone could need. We enjoyed breakfast on the lanai while enjoying the daily whale shows and cocktails while we watched the gorgeous sunsets. Watching the fish in the waves and the dolphins playing was never ending amusement. We are already trying to figure out when we can return. The location to restaurants and shopping is great for people like us who prefer to get some walking in and not have to drive so much. Thank you Steven and Jenni for sharing paradise with us. We can not wait to return.

Very neat and clean - sumptuous large fruit basket upon arrival. The condo looks like it is right out of a decorator magazine, with turquoise (as shown in VRBO photos) throughout, including the toaster, utensils, plates, bowls, etc. More than a dozen pillows on the bed. The wooden looking wall in the living area is very nice. So, bottom line, the condo is as cute as it can be if you like turquoise. It was fine with me (single female) but two men from couples I joined for this trip found it too much. The shower suddenly stopped working one day; the owners were very attentive and had it fixed within hours.

A very relaxing stay

We enjoyed our stay in a very clean and weld s decorated condo. It's the first time we've ever stayed a location that had holiday decorations throughout the condo or location. Which is very impressive and we would stay here again

It can be extremely difficult to find a clean/modern place stay in the downtown Kona area. Most of the newer hotels on the Big Island are an hour away. And a lot of the other condo rentals are stuck in the 80’s. This place was clean/comfortable with a lot of modern updates (granite counters/stainless appliances). There was a lot of attention to detail in the decor, even to the point of color coordinated nightlights. It’s clear a lot of investment and time went into renovating this condo. The ocean view and gift basket were just the Cherry on top. All in all a great place to stay. Better than advertised, even
